@ Cryptotrain

if i use the port 3333 i get 0 shares just pool found blocks

if i use the port 4444 i get shares which show up on the site

port 4444 is the port that came with lazybear sgminer which i downloaded from the pool site

which port should i be using ?

Please refer to the website.
http://www.cryptotrain.net/gettingstarted

As per the x11 Tab, 3332 is the correct port. Not 3333

ok thanks i knew it was 333 something i just went with your post above Cheesy

No problem Smiley

4444 is an alternative port to 3332. They will both work for x11

If this is anyones IP from this forum, please stop trying to inject invalid shares. I have custom stratum servers that are not prone to this at all.. Smiley

Another payout issues with x11 HuhHuhHuhHuhHuhHuh?

The issue has been with cryptsy, I'm currently fixing up all the incorrect data because of the cryptsy errors. I am running payouts shortly Smiley

I also noticed something else on the cryptotrain site. Fastcoin was the scrypt coin being mined but 10 of the 27 blocks mined were orphaned. Why is the pool wasting resources on a coin with more than 33% orphaned blocks?

Because If I remove that coin, the pool will find 0 blocks in the scrypt algorithm due to a poor amount of hash power :/

How often does your stats page refresh? I currently have over 40 MH/s pointed to your pool but I'm only seeing 9 MH/s

It updates every 60 seconds with an average calculated over the past hour.

So in other words, it will take 1 hour for your hashrate to be displayed correctly.
8  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN] [CLOAK] Cloakcoin | No Premine | X13 | PoSA White Paper Released CS 2.0 on: June 29, 2014, 01:20:12 PM
Have a question about the Cloak multipool. Stats for yesterday showed average hashrate for X11 was only 143.75MH/s. The top 4 of 41 currently mining add up to over 200MH/s so why was yesterdays' average so low? Was the pool down yesterday for an extended period or something?

Hey Nano,

The hashrates are averages of confirmed shares only, This does not accurately represent the pools actual hashrate.

The reason as to why it is setup like this, is that we do not discard peoples efforts for finding a block. If someone spends 4 hours hashing away and no blocks are found during their hashing time, they still have a lot of unconfirmed shares, that as blocks are found will be confirmed. Since yesterday we didn't find many blocks, there is a lot of unconfirmed shares. Once we find blocks today, those shares will be confirmed and you will most probably notice a larger hashrate than what is actually on the pool. I will be removing this statistic and replacing it with all shares submitted so it is in accurate representation of the days hashrate, not just of the days confirmed shares.
Thanks for the quick response and explanation.

Thanks for this quick update on this issue!!

Why doesn't cryptotrain create a mandatory donation percentage? 5% I'll gladly pay if it keeps the pool up. How much does hosting cost anyway? Maybe we can crowd fund it? It's nice to have.

Hey Rapture,

The problem is that the hosting costs 150$ a month to have the server running, it then takes up close to 6 hours a day of my time to keep it running Sad

Have a look overhere, maybe this will help.

http://www.livechains.net/mpos.html

Cheers!!!

Hi mdtspain,

that is only a simple MPOS pool. That hosting provider does not at all provide anything that is remotely comparable to my setup.

Cheers,
CT

Hello Everyone!

After a meeting between the Developers, the multipool will remain open.

I'm hoping that people will try and utilise it more, as it's in their best intentions to drive the price of UTC up!

Cheers,
CT

To all,

It is very simple to understand, the multipool can only have a right to exist if more miners go mine at the multipool !!!

Richards on the money there,

Essentially the Multipool almost closed today, It is currently costing more money to have the pool hosted than what it would make in fees. Essentially, with the current hashrate and the fees on, the pool cannot even pay for itself.

After a discussion with the UTC Management Team. We have come to a resolution that ensures the future of the Multipool being present Cheesy

Lets try and get the Multipool more traffic! That way we can help drive UTC's price up and help me not go broke paying for it Tongue!

Hey Rapture,

Well a Mandatory donation percent is generally called a fee. Who is going to mine with a 5% fee, when people are complaining about their payouts on a 0% fee....
The problem is that the hosting costs 150$ a month to have the server running, it then takes up close to 6 hours a day of my time to keep it running Sad

The problem is, the pool was put there as a way to drive up the price of UTC and get a payout for their efforts of what they earned automatically converted to Ultracoin. But instead, the majority of people complained that their payout was low, or they could have done better on wafflepool or this or that, yet after explaining to every single person, that having 40 Miners and expecting payouts equivalent to pools with 6000 miners is not going to happen. A long side that, the price of UTC fluctuates a lot, so what they get paid out is what the price of Ultracoin has been throughout the day.

It looks like like UTC is getting some serious benefit from the SHA256 mining at CryptoTrain's multipool. That's awesome.

 Grin

Yeah, Even at such a low hashrate. It's reaping in the UTC.

The normalization value for SHA256 is 85GH/s to 1 MH/s on scrypt. It's already doing better at only 25GH/s. Which is incredible.

If anyone has some old SHA256 Asics, this might be a good investment.

quick question,  arent people going to be attracted to the multipool so they could get utc to dump if its so profitable?

I guess so yes, but if they are on the multipool to just dump, then the multipool will buy it again from their hashing efforts really quickly. With other buyers in between, it still pads the price upwards.

Hey All,

Calling on the support of the UTC community here. Currently our Multipool is doing great, we have good numbers with good profitability. but we are only moving roughly 0.5 - 0.8 BTC a day worth of UTC....

As you know, Thiago and I have just recently joined the development team and we really do hope to see this coin fly us past to moon and land on Mars! The moon we can have a luxurious pent house on for our holidays Tongue

Theres a few ways we could get more attention for UTC and for the pools we have, the first one obviously being to post more advertisements etc etc, but honestly, nobody reads them, and if they do read them, they go, oh thats nice then keep scrolling.
The approach I want to take is to simply add a discrete link in our profile signature on the forums we are signed up to, very simply and very plain, it will get people curious if they start to see it everywhere!!

For those who don't mind, if you could kindly just 3 links into your profile signatures, it would be greatly appreciated and hopefully we can take UTC to Mars much sooner than we expect!

Thanks all!

DONE. ....  If we could just put up some big buy walls.... daytraders putting price down every time the multipool buys it up. Big buy wall will prevent daytraders to sell and everybody will buy up

Thank you!

I am currently rewriting the profit switcher to be much more aggressive with it's buying patterns. To buy UTC every 10 minutes. This should help get rid of those pesky day traders. But alternatively, A buy wall at 3500 would ensure the coin rises higher and also will get them a nice amount of UTC Cheesy

Looks good. Took me a few to figure out how to navigate. Thanks for all your hard work.

Yeah, I changed it all up a bit. It's hopefully much simpler now. But I've had to try and figure out a way to keep it all condensed for when I add more Algos, such as x13 or scrypt-n etc etc.
