@Bitcoinsupremo - where'd you see that I'm French?  Haha, you're right in that I don't try and hide my identity or anything like that, but just for the record I'm an American located in the US.

Your domain name host (Gandi) obfuscates with a French address.

On your website you claim to be working with Paypal. How exactly?

Also, the MSB registration #31000058263889 doesn't return any results at fincen.gov/msb-registrant-search

Hi Chalsengi - Thanks for your note.

We have a dedicated PayPal account rep who works with us to understand our business and ensure PayPal meets our business needs.  We've also gone through compliance review with PayPal they conducted to ensure they're comfortable that our business has all the checks in place to operate legally & in compliance with various regulations. Aside from that, we work with them in the obvious manner of conducting all of our transactions through them.

We noticed the MSB lapse when another one of our customers pointed out the same.  Our initial filing was in 2014 and it looks like this applied to us (taken off MSB registrant search page): "*On April 6, 2017 5,117 entities were dropped from the MSB Registrant Search Web page for nonrenewal of registration."

We have re-filed on 05-May, which was acknowledged on 09-May.  According to this Q&A, we shoudl show up within two weeks of filing: https://www.fincen.gov/questions-answers-general-information-about-msb-registrant-search-web-page

We hope to see the list updated soon.  Our new BSA ID is/will be 31000104891187.  Website will be updated.

Thanks,
Greg

I know this thread is a little outdated, but I did want to chime in and say thanks to those of you who've given testimonials to the trustworthiness of our service.  I operate WeSellCrypto and we are, in fact, a legitimate and trustworthy operation.

As for OP's experience, there's an extremely high chance his order was held for review for one of our various security/anti-fraud checks. Based on his reputation, it looks like this was a rightful hold.  Legitimate buyers can also face delays due to these checks, but we do always get things sorted.

Unfortunately, this thread is the first result when someone Googles 'wesellcrypto' - I just hope most researchers scroll far enough down in the comments to see the positive testimonials.

@Bitcoinsupremo - where'd you see that I'm French?  Haha, you're right in that I don't try and hide my identity or anything like that, but just for the record I'm an American located in the US.

Thanks again for the positive responses.

Best,
Greg
3  Economy / Exchanges / Re: DO NOT USE WESELLCRYPTO.COM - Operated by Idiots on: November 04, 2016, 01:38:38 PM
Hey - My name's Greg and I operate WeSellCrypto.  Sorry to hear about your experience - I'll shed some light that might provide clarity as to what happened, and also will admit to some areas of improvement.

I'll start with the area of opportunity - support could be faster.  It's only me doing support (we are a very small operation).  I operate on the US East coast.  I believe in the past two years there have only been a handful of times that any support, etc. email has remained open for more than 24 hours.  I know a quicker resolution time would be better, but that's where we stand today.

As for your orders being held:  We rely on a third party fraud detection service to scan all of our orders.  I'm sure you can imagine the amount of fraudulent transactions, reversals, etc. we're at risk of when dealing via PayPal.  To share some numbers, yesterday we had just under 300 orders.  Less than 5 were held due to this fraud check (the same one which flagged your order). This fraud check can be triggered by use of a VPN or Web Proxy, the account's history with other companies using the same service, or a variety of other factors (some of which we don't have insight into).  For example, if your PayPal account has a fake name, etc. it's likely to be marked as high risk (for obvious reasons).

When an order comes through above our tolerance threshold (again, less than 2% of all orders), the standard action is to temporarily close the account and refund the high-risk payment.  90+% of the time this blocks a fraudulent payment and saves us from future reversals.

With that being said, I'm unsure (aside from improving response time), what course alternate course of action we could have taken to protect ourselves as a business and improve user experience.  With the <2% rate of order flagging, I believe we've struck a decent balance.

I wanna spread this message because Im sick of all the exchangers on bitcoin who take advantage of others with there ridiculous prices on bitcoins.  If you need to get your bitcoin with paypal with fair rate go to wesellcrypto.com

if you wanna use a debit card and get a few go to 247exchange.com  This is good for low purchases only.

Was just looking at our Google Analytics and saw a little bump with 21 referrals so investigated and found this thread.  Thanks very much for recommending our service!  We're excited to be offering Bitcoin and hope folks will try us out.

My issue is now resolved. This company rocks!

Thanks for looping back to update the thread!

so i have a guy who wants to purchase $1000 today with paypal how long will this take?

Hey - we do offer limits $1k and greater, but it requires establishing a relationship whereby we feel comfortable selling that volume via PayPal.  If your guy would like to learn more, feel free to have him contact us.

Thx,
Greg

Always had instant deals with this site until today. Still didn't receive the doges I ordered! Will update once order is processed.

Hey FrozenOne - thanks for chiming in and apologies for the delay.  It does look like something failed with our order scanner overnight.  David, our developer, is on a flight to come visit the US but will have a message waiting for him to restart the scanner as soon as he lands.

Very sorry for the delay... your order will be automatically processed just as soon as David can come online.

As you mentioned, this is far from the norm (and unfortunate timing).  It looks like all of WeSellCrypto is down at the moment..

We'll get it sorted ASAP.

but you not selling btc without verification and anonym.

That's correct.  Our $15/day verification requires that you email with your name, location, primary interest in cryptocurrencies, and anticipated purchase volume.  Higher limits require ID verification which is necessary to protect ourselves from fraudulent reversals.

Our verification requirements are simpler than many of the official exchanges.  We also don't store bank information, etc., and offer instant automated payout.
8  Economy / Currency exchange / WeSellCrypto now offers Bitcoin via PayPal on: August 13, 2015, 02:23:32 PM
Hi all - We've just added Bitcoin on WeSellCrypto. We've spent more than a year offering altcoins via PayPal and ensuring we are prepared and capable of handling Bitcoin. As of yesterday, we've added Bitcoin to our list of offerings.

WeSellCrypto is a fully automated system for purchasing cryptocurrencies via PayPal.  Once checkout is completed, our system pays out orders within 10 seconds.  Do note that in some cases such as a high risk score or email mismatch, orders may be held for manual review.  This is less than 2-3% of all of our orders.

I'll start with our markup. Our markup is ~15% above Coinbase posted rate at any given point. The price you see on our site is the final price you pay. This is necessary to cover PayPal fees, exchange fees, market risk, PayPal risk, and then various overhead (regulatory/legal costs, hardware, licenses, etc. etc.).

About us: We're a small operation that have become well respected especially in the Dogecoin space for a simplified, reliable operation. Pay via PayPal, get your coins in seconds. That's it. We don't hold your bank information, we don't store your funds, and we keep our verifications as simple as possible.
Why use us? There are a couple of use cases of our typical customers:

1) Want to conveniently make relatively small purchases without the hassle of wait times, extensive verifications, bank integrations, etc. -- in other words, the markup is worth the convenience to pay a couple of bucks extra to just pay and get coins.

2) Want very fast access to coins. Our service is the fastest out there for getting coins to your wallet.

3) Don't want to trust an exchange with linked bank info, etc.

I am happy to answer any questions, and hope to be accepted in the community as another option for making Bitcoin easily accessible to everyday consumers.

If there's question with regards to legitimacy or dependability, please feel free to research our reputation doing business as WeSellDoges and WeSellCrypto.  We've been in business since last April and performed more than $1.5m in transactions.
9  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / WeSellCrypto to add more coins - tell us which coin(s) you want! on: November 09, 2014, 09:52:43 PM
Hey all -

I operate WeSellCrypto, altcoins via PayPal.  To date we've sold of $1m in altcoins and are preparing to launch wesellcrypto, a single website to purchase any of the coins we offer.

We're polling interest on which coins our customers want to see and will use that to make our decisions!

We currently have wesellredd, weselldark, and weselldoges (.com).  We'll be adding more coins on wesellcrypto.com.

Note:  The coin must be listed on Cryptsy!

10  Economy / Currency exchange / Seeking Regular BTC Supplier - US Preferred to Avoid Bank xfer Fees on: August 19, 2014, 08:16:27 PM
Hi all -

I am hoping to find a regular supplier of Bitcoin who can beat Bitstamp pricing.  Looking at ~$25-$30k+ per week with plans to grow.  Would typically be buying on a daily basis.

I'm hoping to connect with a mining operation or someone who can beat Bitstamp pricing.

Bank transfer probably makes the most sense to avoid extensive fees.  US-based preferred for the same reason.

Please let me know if you are able to meet the above or know someone who may.

I operate www.wesellcrypto.com.

11  Bitcoin / Project Development / [Update] Direct Fiat > Altcoin Site(s) Update - WeSellDoges + Others on: July 21, 2014, 06:05:15 PM
Hi all - A while back I shared with you all the launch of a new project, WeSellDoges(.com) which offers instant (sub-10 second) payout of Dogecoin after purchase completion via PayPal with minimal verification.

I'm here to share some metrics of WSD as well as future directions for our service:

- WSD went live in late April
- Nearly 1 Billion Dogecoins sold (>1% of total current supply) , totaling $400k+ in gross revenue
- Have sold to more than 2600 unique customers in 68 countries

We are now evaluating different coins to move into.  Since Bitcoin has its official exchanges, we're more closely evaluating high market cap altcoins.

Thanks for listening!  If you have an interest in paying a small premium to instantly obtain coins via PayPal, check us out Smiley.

Happy to answer any questions.

Are you sure it is safe.I don't think paypal allows exchanges.

Yes - I'm constantly on the phone with PayPal.  They modified their T&C a month or two ago, and you can even find the official Virtual Currencies section on Ebay now.  I'm paying fees and 100% compliant.
