Have just installed this on 36 rigs and I must say, I am not going back! the simplicity of this os is stunning.

I do get a few issues with cards dropping out after a reboot, but firstboot seems to fix them.

For the people having trouble running this on Linux grab the latest pimp miner getpimp.org (being compiled by the bamt crew) no need to modify it after comes with sg 4.1.153.

Just edit /opt/imfi/cgminer.nscrypt.conf to the settings you need like nfactor "6"

Then open a browser to the miner change the algo to "nscrypt" and restart the machine should work like i charm just had to do this 36 times  pimp also has some great farm and pool controls built in and working with 0 config time, excellent for the miner with limited time.

I put alot of faith behind GPU coin and still hold alot of coin that could crash its very small market, I do fear for aiden coin as at the moment on polo i could fill all sell orders (OFCOURSE I WONT) and im just a small time miner hitting an exchange to early seems to becoming the quick way to stall growth. Doge coin took ages to hit coinedup for the first like 3 weeks it was forum trading only. It is almost like a coin needs to be hard to move at the start to drum up some exclusivity and then once demand reaches a certain point open an exchange.

I will do the honorable thing and hold but i know that the next big miner to come along will just dump it for electricity bill, Whats the point buy a house for 100k sell it for 100k why bother? I see it this way electricity bill is the investment and we all have a vested interest the price staying up or at least stable to maintain the volume.

Hi,

My name is Bob and I am an addict.

I have been addicted to crypto since doge coin launch and have recently gone spasticly stupidily all in on a 100mh gpu farm. (yolo, if it fails i have 40+ really cool gaming machines and open a lan party warehouse!)

I started off as mine - transfer - dump now I only do it just enough to pay the electricity and lunch for the day and the rest I am holding / trading when the time is right, and right now the time is not right!

I did pull 99% of my rigs off gpuc however as I feared I would have to much coin and to much hash rate in comparison to others in the pool.

I am Melbourne/Aus based and if anyone needs some help feel free to pm me, I am definitely dedicated to this coin and would like to help out where possible. Heck even to the point of potentially being an Aus distributor of GPUs and other mining equipment for gpuc what ever it takes!

Ps, my name is T just T will do

Cheers,
T

I do agree that we still need to keep faith in the coin.

We also need to build a bigger community, with that comes marketing etc. We need to create some buzz about the coin. This takes both sides, the general public needs communication from the management team (I know they all have jobs etc) but making short posts to tell us how things are going and what they are doing/planning will boost morale and is pretty easy (they can even do it on the front page). The other side is us, we need to market and advertise the coin to the bitcoin community and beyond. We can't just wait for the management to do everything, if you really do believe in the coin, write articles, vote, tweet do anything that will increase exposure about the coin.

Secondly, I do agree about the posters about maybe having a direct link from the store site on the front page. People don't realize that you can click on GPUcoin.net to go there (put the equivalent price into US dollars as well so people know they are getting a deal, some people are lazy and when they see millions of GPUcoins for a product they shy away). We NEED to get on a better exchange that takes some donations from us and the management as well to boost up our votes. Honestly, getting on a bigger exchange isn't going to magically solve how our coin is doing. We need to do some of the things above to make it work and more....

More: With our current model of selling GPUcoins for GPU isn't going to work forever. If you have surfed newegg and amazon lately GPU prices are falling. WHY? because mining isn't as profitable as before, especially when you factor in paying for electricity as well. We need to start selling other products, gift cards etc etc etc. We also have to make it a deal ie selling $100 amazon card for $80 equivalent GPUcoins. The marketplace is a great idea but we need to put more things that people want there, if anyone has connections with big retail stores, mom and pop stores, anything... that can get things for cheaper and sell it on GPUcoins that would help.

As I see it, In the end, it takes both parties to tango. If you want the coin to succeed we both have to put in the effort.

On that note its time for me to VOTE on mintpal! https://www.mintpal.com/voting
only 8.4 btc to get top vote lol i have .1 on offer

Day one noob poster but i have been following this coin for a while now and felt like I should post.

I too couldn't get my BTC out of cryptorush in the last 12 hours, once i noticed that i pulled all coins from the exchange.

Cryptorush is also trading an arbitrage for doge and few others due to I'm guessing people converting to alt coins and withdrawing.

I'll hold my 6Mill gpuc, I am very interested in where this is going.

Most important thing atm is get the coin accepted to decent exchange.
AND UPDATE THE OP!!! lol just to by 21st who has said it, the key to success and marketing is to be active!
