1  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / Re: Claymore's Dual Ethereum AMD+NVIDIA GPU Miner v9.8 (Windows/Linux) on: August 28, 2017, 09:18:07 AM
Should it be possible to mine using a Vega 64 GPU and an RX 580 GPU together in the same rig? I'm getting hard lockups whenever I try to combine them...
2  Other / CPU/GPU Bitcoin mining hardware / Re: Smartcoin Linux mining administration. [NEW LOCKUP DETECTION & FAILOVER SUPPORT] on: July 21, 2011, 12:39:01 PM
I just installed SmartCoin today and after playing with it, I have to say that it looks really great. You've really put a lot of polish on it.

Unfortunately I'm not having any luck getting my lockups detected. There's no relevant information in the SmartCoin logs, and the SmartCoin console just seems to stop running altogether. However, I can disconnect from screen and issue other commands so I know the machine isn't completely unresponsive. I can also run ./lockup.sh manually and it works fine.

What should I look at? Is there any troubleshooting information I can provide? Thanks!

Yeah there's definitely something wrong, I'm mining at about 50% capacity on US West.

Unfortunately I can't provide diagnostic information as I'm not anywhere near the miners at the moment.

Looks like the miners are back at 100% capacity now. I will update if I see any more changes. Thanks.

5  Economy / Goods / Re: Shogun 2 Total War Codes 1.25btc OBO on: July 02, 2011, 08:24:00 AM
Thanks! Very pleasant to deal with, prompt communication, and the code worked flawlessly.

Highly recommended. Now I just have to play through the first seven games before I can start on this one Smiley
6  Economy / Goods / Re: [Selling] Dirt3 unused (Steam game) - 1.3 BTC on: July 01, 2011, 06:54:19 AM
Nice deal Smiley
7  Economy / Goods / Re: [Selling] Dirt3 (steam game) unused on: June 29, 2011, 08:34:00 PM
It boggles my mind how you can make a post like this one, and then turn around and ask 2 BTC for Dirt3 when someone has already been asking 1.25 BTC for the past two days. On the very first page of this sub-forum, no less...
8  Economy / Marketplace / Re: WTB -{4 BTC} asp.net Web Developer + CSS for small website (4 BTC) on: June 29, 2011, 10:05:48 AM
Assuming you guys have an agreed upon design ready to implement, I'll bid 100 BTC for the first 15 hours of my time, and 7 BTC for each subsequent hour.

If you are serious about this, please PM me for my credentials. Thanks.

10  Economy / Goods / Re: ★ Microsoft Products | Legitimate | Lifetime Guarantee ★ on: June 29, 2011, 01:31:52 AM
I'm sure you think you do, but you probably shouldn't mislead others by advertising it as a "legitimate" product.

There is nothing legal or legitimate about reselling TechNet keys.

The keys are perfectly legitimate. They are straight from Microsoft, and aren't torrented, or fake generated keys.

That's not what I said, is it? The keys are valid (for now). Your operation however is illegitimate and what you're doing is illegal.

People buying from you might as well torrent the products and save themselves a few BTC. Either way, they will have no valid license to use the products.

When Microsoft terminates your account and blacklists all of those keys, your "customers" will be left on the hook.

You're aware that what you're doing here is blatant piracy, right?

I have my own ways to protect myself & my customers.

Photographs of the merchandise would be nice, Microsoft software is one on THE MOST pirated and resold items on the digital market

It's TechNet, not actual products.

13  Other / Politics & Society / Re: Can you name a single US federal department that hasn't been corrupted? on: June 28, 2011, 11:43:35 PM
Unless you clarify exactly what you mean by "corrupted," your question is pointless.
14  Other / Obsolete (selling) / Re: Dead Thread on: June 28, 2011, 10:53:51 PM
Thanks guys, would have been nice if you posted your concerns 10 minutes earlier Wink

I'm afraid I did fall for this, in my defence I only saw the picture on my phone.

Anyway, made a payment of 15 BTC to 1B4cRLiQBN2RD8tahdg5gH3f9whqVHUQ67, the rest was to be paid upon receipt.

Obviously I could just go and kick the shit out of him (now I have all his info) but have given him the chance to return the coins to http://blockexplorer.com/address/1BnxxW16gmL2EoZHmjm46tcpP8QQNTNJbX .

We'll see...

The coins will be returned or he will seriously regret stealing them Wink

Sorry, I tried posting last night but my account was still pending whitelisting. Good to hear he's refunding the coins!

anon12, come on man do you really want this stuff on your conscience just to make a few bucks? It's not worth it...
15  Other / Obsolete (selling) / Re: Dead Thread on: June 28, 2011, 08:30:20 PM
I looked into buying this card as well but there were a couple of other red flags.

1) Other than the posts where he is selling the card, OP only has a handful of one-sentence posts without much content.

2) His first post is from June 24, 2011, 11:37:24 pm where mentions he "just ordered 2 6990's" then on June 25, 2011, 06:16:19 pm (not even a day later) he is already selling one of them. Now that's really quick shipping for an item that's out of stock everywhere. And why would someone sell below cost the very same day they received it?

3) After being contacted by PM he refused multiple times to use an escrow service for the purchase, even though I offered to pay for all the fees myself. Instead he said he was "little time pressured" because he had to leave town this week, "wished he had more time to alleviate my concerns", and asked me to "trust him one this one" -- sure signs of a scam.

He was pleasant enough to communicate with over PMs though, I'll give him that Smiley
16  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: Open mining rig - What material should I place my motherboard on? on: June 27, 2011, 10:02:05 PM
I usually find that the box the motherboard came in works quite well.

I've also used a pinning board which is cheap, and works great because cork is a fire retardant.

17  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: Can i mix a 6950 with a 6970 in the same system without problems? on: June 27, 2011, 09:40:37 PM
just dont use the Xfire cable Cheesy

and just to be clear: does generation matter? (4xxx+5xxx+6xxx)

"Generation" was an issue for me under Windows, as I was unable to mix 5xxx and 6xxx cards and install proper drivers to get mining. The AMD CrossfireX Compatibility Chart illustrates which combinations are supported.

However this has not been an issue for me in Linux; I have a rig with a 6950 and 5850 and each is mining to capacity.
18  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: Can i mix a 6950 with a 6970 in the same system without problems? on: June 27, 2011, 08:01:27 PM
You shouldn't run into any issues when mining either in Linux or in Windows.

If you were playing games, the 6970 would throttle back to match the 6950 so the game would play in sync. When mining however, each card works independently of each other and will go as fast as it can.

Hope this helps!
19  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: Whitelist Requests (Want out of here?) on: June 27, 2011, 07:50:06 PM
I've been lurking here and mining on DeepBit and BTCGuild for about 3 weeks, and just registered today as I wanted to contribute to the SmartCoin on Linux discussion. I just realized I'd be unable to post there for a while unless I first requested permission here.

If I could be whitelisted, I would appreciate it!

Additionally, I wanted to send a PM to someone on the Marketplace replying to one of their ads. Will getting whitelisted allow me to do so? Thanks!!!
