1  Bitcoin / Electrum / Re: Seeds on: February 25, 2021, 01:57:51 AM
There is no need to try all these words.
Electrum uses specific words for generating the seed phrase. The list includes 2048 words and only 11 of them (mentioned by BlackHatCoiner in the first reply) start with "sw".
This case is very easy to do manually. OP very lucky to forgot only part of one word.
Forget one word but know its place, still quite easy. Anything after that starts getting complicated and time consuming.
2  Economy / Speculation / Re: When to sell BTC: $80K, $100K or $150K? on: February 22, 2021, 01:51:57 AM
What is the top price that you may think bitcoin will reach this year?
As xcaret sayed, in short and to summary his reply, noone knows Wink.
Anyone saying he know or because graph shows this or that, its all BS, noone knows period.

There are some things that can maybe indicate something when you watching 3rd or 4th bubble, but its subtle and in the end still guessing Smiley
3  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Bitcoin is 100% faith on: February 14, 2021, 10:43:26 PM
prophet of gloom especially in an expanding and exciting Bitcoin bull run?
Just another prophet that want people to listen to him for personal gain.
How Bitcoin is 100% faith when there is revolutionary code behind it? Its value, not fairy tale.
Recently this whole GME fiasco showed people that  FIAT system is rigged.
4  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: A Deeper Look into the Skrill cryptocurrency TOS on: February 11, 2021, 06:47:33 PM
Cons:

•   A custodial and centralized service.
•   Crypto interests can’t be used to purchase goods/services from registered merchants.
•   Isn’t available for customers from the USA.
•   Foreign exchange fees applied to Skrill accounts denominated in all currencies except the euro.
•   Transfer crypto assets/interests to 3rd party wallets outside of the Skrill network.
•   Buy and Sell orders might not be completed for various reasons.
•   A customer can be suspended and/or banned from using the cryptocurrency service.
•   Suspended users can have their cryptocurrency interests sold off at the current price and incur losses in those trades.

Great job, you really put an effort here to make that great summary.
Some are worrying, some less but overall if someone want to start using this service, priceless summary.
They should allow USA citizens or EUR because they in seconds here lost 60% customer base.
5  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: How to be useful to the forum ? on: September 01, 2020, 06:34:43 PM
The issues I have :
• Even though I read a lot of topics, I am unable to answer to them, since either they have already been answered
• I don't have a special skill set to offer some services in the services board
• I felt like I am being left out, it's been a few months since I am on the forum and my progress has slowed down drastically,
a) let that not discourage you, i mean, often similiar answer in reality expanding expected result from topic author, even few extra words can make difference of understanding the answer, so just try explain it again but with your own words
b) that is something you can work out. Focus on learning specific thing you can help others with or earn money. For example programming language that you enjoy the most
c) it all depends on your goals here, im here to learn, help and have fun from time to time, thats it, but i see many many people are here to earn money that way or another
6  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: Loses to invest in Bitcoin, back to Bitcointalk on: September 01, 2020, 06:29:30 PM
I have registered for a Bitcointalk account for a long time, but because I don't understand it, I leave.
However, I still invest in Bitcoin. But it often fails. This is what made me return to my Bitcointalk account.
Someone said that this account could make money by promoting a project bounty. But the minimum rank is a member.
To increase rank, there must be Merit. What is Merit? I continue to find out about Merit.
Welcome
You have long way ahead of you.
First try to improve your english skills, because this forum is about communication between users and its hard to understand, needs a lot of guessing.
Second thing, change of attitude. If you only register here to "earn" money, you will fail hard. First of all promoting needs from you quality posts, big rank and a lot of activity/merit.  It will be hard to endure all that with only money in mind. You must enjoy beign here and helping people.

Good luck!
7  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: Is Arbitrage legit? on: August 30, 2020, 09:34:01 PM
I've been looking into ways of making money during quarantine and I've come across the concept of arbitrage. I was wondering if this is legit? I've seen people selling bots for thousands and say its a good investment for long run but I'm wary of it being a scam.
Bots are probably scam or as close to a scam as it can be.
Arbitrage is legit but super risky. There are so many risk factors and so many things can go wrong.
Its risking big money to earn some a lot smaller money. Many people went bankrupt doing Arbitrage.
8  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Bitcoin's Image Is Getting Stronger by the Minute on: August 29, 2020, 07:23:55 PM
The dollar continues to plummet as the U.S. struggles to reopen due to the pandemic
Being the world’s reserve currency, however, the dollar is expected to maintain its strength and recover from the downturn as soon as things get back to normal.
More and more people are starting to perceive bitcoin as a store of value
All of that is true, but its not that easy to world’s reserve currency maintain its strenght/value while printing like MAD.
This is real problem, everyone but USA mostly printing like mad lads. Value of currency beign printed this way plummeting, other resources price going up (gold, BTC etc.)
Dollar wont recover from that easily. I dont think its even possible, especially now while crippled economy from covid.
9  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Accepting Bitcoin for sales in a volatile market. on: August 28, 2020, 09:54:37 PM
I'm going to revive my domain name sales business, and I want to offer Bitcoin as the primary payment method. The problem is pricing in a volatile market. I believe that Bitcoin is going through a correction at the moment
Either you have cushion of funds to not be afraid of volatility of Bitcoin or you convert immediately.
This way you take risk only if you are able to or you don't.
So this is not something to be afraid of.
10  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: I want to help all people on: August 26, 2020, 12:34:47 AM
I visited you profile and see some posts. Luckily your post was translated in English by my chrome google translate extension and see this.

Sometime google translate does not give the 100% correct output. So it could be wrong also

The post was made yesterday. That means you are new in cryptocurrency then how you will teach other people ? First learn something from here and try to teach others. And since you have found this forum to learn about crypto currency hope you will. Good Luck.
Seems like 'im from poor country, want good to bitcoin, donate me money' type of card.
I hope its not, but seems like it.
Anyway, welcome and try to learn as much about Bitcoin as possible first, then teach others.
Have fun and good luck! Smiley
11  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: If you could hard fork Bitcoin right now, what changes would you make? on: August 26, 2020, 12:33:19 AM
If you had consensus to make whatever changes you saw fit in Bitcoin right now with a hard fork and the community was 100% behind you, what changes would you make? What improvements do you think Bitcoin needs through a hard fork?
None.
Current state of Bitcoin is perfect because its stable and that is most important.
We need more privacy but i wouldn't push it now, because privacy solution is not ready to be included in Bitcoin code.
If it will be, and will be tested to pain treshold, we will have it.
Bitcoin development way is slow, but it needs to be slow to hold value.
12  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Bitcoin Whale Sold at $12,000 After 2 Years HODLing on: August 26, 2020, 12:31:39 AM
A Bitcoin whale, who accumulated 9,000 BTC in late 2018, has sold after 22 months and two capitulation phases.

Its very random news. I mean there are tons of whales that got burned by investing in bubble and selling with loss.
We only filter news we want to see, that is very misleading and its hard to get any conclusions from such news.
If many many many whales would do the same, that could be some indication of news we don't know yet or else.
13  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: Probably a stupid question. on: August 26, 2020, 12:28:54 AM
Hello, I want to buy bitcoin, how can I be sure that they were not used for any shady business?  If I buy directly from a person, what is the chance that I will have problems later?  Do I only have to buy from exchanges?
Please, forgive my ignorance.
There are no stupid questions, only stupid answers Wink so let me help here.
You can't be sure, same as you can't be sure that dollars you get as paycheck were not used for any shady business.
I heard about some studies that most (!) dollar bills got traces of cocaine on them.
14  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: key safety strategies? on: August 23, 2020, 01:35:24 AM
Make a multisig wallat, 2/2
Print out each keys, two copies each.
Key A X 2
Key B X 2

Give the copy of Key A to a group of people, family A
Give the copy of Key B to a group of people, family B

Dont like this solutions, because it base on people and trust in a way. Bitcoin was made in a way that no trust is needed.
I would use different methods but to secure keys is almost impossible, almost always prone to human errors.
I hope in future there will be more reliable methods including hardware wallets that cant be fooled easily.
15  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Some Influencers Are Not Helping on: August 23, 2020, 01:33:34 AM
The Winklevi are running an exchange; and since most people know about bitcoin already, I think it's safe to assume that they shilled an altcoin to let people gain more interest and potentially them gaining more users on Gemini.

That seems most resonable explanation.
Doesnt make it right as a whole situation. I would assume Winkelvoss twins have higher standards and would do more in terms of promoting Bitcoin and their exchange.
Kinda dissapointed in them for this.
16  Economy / Services / Re: Need vouches on: August 23, 2020, 01:29:24 AM
Methods of... what?
Yeah that seems weird enough to not specify this.
User with 0 posts want to sell some method? of investing? of trading?
Seems genuine Wink
17  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: MultiCoinAds: To be trusted or not? on: August 23, 2020, 12:05:09 AM
Should I trust MultiCoinAds?
Whats that? First time hearing about it.
You mean multi coin wallet? Its not much secure if yes.
Maybe im not in the loop or its just a very specific thing.
18  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: bitcoin pricing on: August 22, 2020, 10:00:58 PM
how to accuratly predict the price of bitcoin? i know no one knows in the futures but people always investing in bitcoin cannot be randomly.. correct? there must be a reason
Yes people think reason on their own or take opinions of others
Problem is all this predictions are for nothing, maybe best predictions give slight advantage thats it.

Big companies made mistakes, lost tens of millions by investing just before huge price drop.
19  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: Having loss is part of experience as a Trader on: August 22, 2020, 12:20:40 AM
However, non will teach you how to control your emotion when the market go against you.
When it comes to trading, no one is expert or perfectly can supress his/her emotions that easily. What I meant is, oncr you get the hang of it. There is part of yourself that you wanna still gain more
Agree there is no chance to learn to eliminate that/control it 100%.
You can become robot, this will allow to control your emotion in full.
Not controlling emotion in full is what makes us humans Cheesy so pretty hard to eliminate it, thats why Bots are best traders.
20  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Bitcoin (or others) for the Adult Industry? on: August 22, 2020, 12:18:50 AM
I was actually really shocked to see this forum still so active.

In 2012-2013 there was a lot of talk about bitcoin (and I suppose blockchain in general) being used for improvements and optimization in the adult industry. Other than just straight payments (which ManyVids, Eros, etc) use, I haven't seen any real advances trickle down into the industry.
I dont find this suprising since this forum is really good/well made and it will be really hard for any competition.

What improvements and optimization in the adult industry? I mean noone created and market widely accepted ANY other application of blockchain except Bitcoin.
Bitcoin is blockchain and in same time buzz word people use and have no clue what that actually means for real world usage.
