0.12 BTC is around $50 right now, this is small claims territory and depending on where you live it might cost you as much or more to file a suit to recoup your 0.12 BTC.  You cannot escalate it past small claims in superior court as it is not worth more than the maximum small claims suit amount (usually somewhere between $1000 and $3500 depending on your state/district)  I can tell you right now, if you get an attorney you will spend more than what you would get in return.  It would likely just be better for you to wipe your hands of GPUCoin and mine something else.

We all understand you are upset, but constantly stating this on a forum that the owner of the coin doesn't frequent too often isn't going to help you.  Sometimes, like a broken marriage, it is better to just walk away and chalk things up to a life lesson learned.

Also, the owner does not have to disclose anything, it isn't a publicly held company on the stock market.
A better plan would be to keep mining, tell everyone to buy the coin, use your time and knowledge of the internet to promote the coin, and then when it goes up, you will make way more than your IPO money back.  And if you have been reading here, you will know that in about a week or so the blocks will half to 10,000, so your coins will be worth double and hopefully we can get known by then.

P.S. DID EVERYBODY DOWNLOAD THE NEW WALLET SO WE WON'T GET FORKED AND F@CKED WHEN THE BLOCKS DECREASE?

Oh no, I was just directing that to the guy complaining, I haven't stopped mining myself since the day GPUC launched.  I only have around 650k, but I am also only using a single 270x and not doing the double threaded mining so that I can still watch movies and use my computer.  I am pretty sure I have the updated wallet "GPUcoin version v0.8.7.2-g88e2a2e-beta"

I've been mining this coin continuously since launch with my Asus R9 270x, only have about 180k coins.  I settled on buying the 270x as my old Radeon 4890 was not cutting it for games anymore, but was really looking at a 280x when prices were sky high.  I bought the 270x at $240 off amazon and then promptly lost my job the next day.  First few days I spent mining random coins until I found the announcement that this coin would be launching soon.  I spent the rest of the time making sure my card wasn't a dud, it kept giving me artifacts on the desktop for a few days, but finally settled down and only firefox/palemoon show artifacts, but from what I have read that is due to the browser itself.  I would love to see this coin become profitable, it just feels like a good concept

If you happen to be running the 14.x beta catalyst drivers they are solid but do cause artifacts on desktop and in browsers. Known bug with the driver. I'm only running them cause I have the THIEF game that uses the mantle API and boy does it offer a performance increase!!!

I am running 13.12

I found a config for regular scrypt that the 270x can hit 500kh/s stable, I just can't get it to translate to scrypt-n, best I get is 230kh/s which is 20kh/s lower than I would like, but I'll deal with it.  I also found a workaround to driver crashes/low hashrates.  Device Manager > disable adapter and then re-enable it and your low hashrate should go back to normal once you reload vertminer/cgminer/sgminer.

I am fairly new at this mining stuff and wish I had gotten into mining back when Bitcoin launched when I first heard about it.  I attempted it, but at the time felt it was just too difficult and dropped off.  I think, at the time, Bitcoin was worth $0.10.  I am really kicking myself about that.

I wouldn't mind seeing your scrypt config.  I am getting 480 on my 270's and 490 on my 270x's right now, so pretty close but wouldn't mind a bit more.

I found the config here: http://www.reddit.com/r/dogemining/comments/1yx086/500_khash_with_270x_no_hw_stable/ and tested it, it worked for me, I just don't like running my 270x's memory that high for too long

Yeah firefox is known to artifact (I get checkerboards).  But you can get rid of that in options
there is a setting for use hardware acceleration, you can uncheck it, but your browser will be
slow, don't try to watch videos in it or anything.

Thanks for the tip *unchecks hardware acceleration*

I use Chrome for videos anyways so it won't affect my usage
