3  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: This is without a doubt, the best wallet I've seen EVER! on: June 06, 2014, 12:29:13 PM
Before reading this thread, the paranoia in me believed there was going to be a download link in here, spreading some malware.
But the wallet sure looks nice, I've seen these preview pictures before, like a week ago or so.
However, is this wallet available, or is it just for testing?
Yea its available I think, this is taken from their announcement in the SC thread. It's a fully working wallet, check the SC thread.

5  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / This is without a doubt, the best wallet I've seen EVER! on: June 06, 2014, 10:05:03 AM
So I've been lurking around the SilKCoin thread recently then they dropped this announcement :

 ⚠  ⚠   Wallet Update  ⚠  ⚠

So now let's see this new version, better than words :

I've downloaded this and installed it works like a charm. It is without a doubt the sexiest wallet I've seen ever. I'll post more images here as I upload them
6  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN] SilkCoin | PoW/PoS | Redesigned GUI & Wallet | Full Time Devs on: June 06, 2014, 09:59:49 AM

 ⚠  ⚠   Wallet Update - HARD FORK - UPDATE MANDATORY FOR EVERYONE  ⚠  ⚠
Mac, Windows & Linux available NOW fully compatible & BEAUTIFUL

As you may all know we finally decided to reduce the block reward in the next POW phase to please the community. There was a lot of arguments for and against the last phase so to please everyone since both sides had very valid points we decided to keep the last phase BUT reduce the block reward to 2500. So there will be 2x less coins generated in the last phase.

Total expected coins at the end of last phase : ~45 million

EVERYONE MUST UPDATE BEFORE POW, else you may send transactions on the wrong chain and lose your coins.
We deleted all pools from the OP, when you updated your client post in the thread we will add you back to the original post and website.

So now let's see this new version, better than words :

We worked very hard to release this update so fast fully compatible on all OS, we will now have more free time to get you updates from the eco-system front !

A white paper is in the writing but the system we're building is so complex the white paper will be quite long.
Just a few word this time, no this is not a darknet more a social network with unique usernames stored in the blockchain and all kind of infos shared via p2p everything working with pub/priv keys.

We'll give more and more infos quite soon so even before the whitepaper you all start to understand the way this system functions, for the moment enjoy the new update and..

Spread the word : MANDATORY UPDATE BEFORE POW BLOCK 50 000 OR RISK LOSING COINS

Oh hot dayum, that is absolutely gorgeous!!!!!!
7  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Reduce The Next POW Silkcoin phase to 10 million coins POLL on: June 01, 2014, 08:56:38 AM
I'm holding some SC, but I know for a fact that MultiPool dumping will drop the price doown
8  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / This is the most promising coin I've seen recently... on: May 12, 2014, 03:22:07 PM
So I was browsing around the alt-coin section as usual when I came across SilkCoin : https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=599438.0

It's based on BlackCoin. but has a shit-ton of things going for it that will make it a top contender in the next few coming months.

What makes it different :

  • New Wallet UI
  • Built-in Block Explorer
  • Coin Control - Set Reserve amount of coins
  • Built-in Centralized Exchanger - Works off Exchanges
  • Future ZeroCoin Integration

It's at 700 Sat, now which is dirt cheap. I've already bought a few thousand and I think you should to.

Hi all

First off to Iconic, great work bud on the BlackCoin Cards, I can already see them being a huge success for BlackCoin and for crypto's in general. I had some free time today so I used it to redesign the BlackCoin Card GUI. It's just a concept, but I think it looks quite a bit better than the current GUI. Let me know your thoughts on it.

Redesigned GUI

For those of you who'd like to know. I've just opened a web and logo design service here on Bitcointalk : https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=590322.0 and I'm allowing people to pay in BlackCoin.

@nextgencoin
You are such an idiot. You have made your point little kid now grow up. You sound like a toddler who has not had his nap time yet. Seriously you have made your point no need to respond to every single comment, about being a scammer. The only thing wrong with this forum is whiny little brats like you that cant let others be. Grow up and move on with your life. The more you cry like a little bitch the more obvious you are that your just a crybaby.

hahaha yeah I am gonna cry, I'm gonna cry out this is a scam until they give up. If I don't my point will easily be buried in a long thread. So yeah I'll be continuing to sabotage this stealing of people's money. Why do you want to watch me....go away now to your black coin pump.

And I'm not replying to every post I'm replying to ever likely sockpuppet that is part of this scam.
Dude all you do is go around attacking people, like I saw you attack BCX on another thread. The OP in this thread should've used his brains and made the topic self-moderated so that guys like you don't post here.
13  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: A little story on: April 19, 2014, 09:15:12 AM
So I encouraged a friend of mine to buy some bitcoins quite a long time ago. They have since become worth a lot. She wrote a long password (22 characters!), and kept the coins in an encrypted wallet-qt.

As they appreciated and appreciated I got more and more nervous, and the time finally came to put them in cold storage.

This was when we discovered that she had written down her password wrong. I tried 128 different combinations. None worked. I asked help from a lot of people here. Some good advice, but all a little too technical for me.

I felt the coins were basically gone, because as we all know, if you don't have your private key (or the password to your wallet.dat!) you don't have any bitcoins.

My friend wrote some code and took the password hash and ran almost 2 million different permutations and finally....cracked it! (Always put dots above your lower case "i"s my friends Smiley).

They have now been moved to cold storage, printed using an offline computer (with no hard drive in!) that ran the html for bitaddress.org.

The private key has never been near a webam or window (drones, government agencies), has been laminated (read about a guy on here accidentally spilling whiskey all over his paper wallet), kept in a safe place that only she has access to, TWICE.

I have learnt from everyone else here.

I hope to help everyone a little with my story. This new paradigm of having COMPLETE responsibility for ones own money is going to take some adjustment, but the more we help each other, the less horror stories we all have to hear about.

Good luck and happy bitcoining.
How much was it worth?

Take note that the current investors list is outdated. It shall be updated within the next 4-8 hours.

THIS MAN IS A LIAR!
Bud, all I see you doing is complaining over and over in this thread criticizing every poster here, wheter it be investor or just somebody commenting on the thread. Please stop, I've seen it for a few pages now, every other poster who posts in this thread you call a liar and a scammer.

18  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN][IPO] Numus (Pow/Pos - Scrypt-Jane) | Decentralized Exchange |Cloud Storage on: April 18, 2014, 09:17:06 AM
Warning, this is most likely a scam.

As you can see the previous poster (Sherlock Holmes I think it was) found a bunch of evidence but I just discovered something else.

If you look at the whitepaper, it has a name at the end "carl himrusnich". I googled the name and only one result: the whitepaper.

Never in all the years I have used google have I only seen one result come up when searching on a name. How is that even possible?! Obviously this last name is bogus and there isn't a single other occurrence of it on the entire internet.

Also, the web site is nice and fancy, there is a nice looking whitepaper complete with references, but notice how there is absolutely no technical details on the product itself.

In conclusion, this is most likely a very well thought out elaborate scam!
Carl Himrusnich is most likely a psuedonym of some sorts like Satoshi or Sunny King coz they said they want to be anonymous.
Whose Sunny king?

Creator of Peercoin
Wasn't it someone else who created Peercoin?
Check the Peercoin whitepaper.

Hi all

Anyone else have BTC Withdrawals stuck on Cryptsy? I initiated a withdrawal over 24 hours ago and it's still pending. Are all withdrawals down?
