I also have a problem with my wallet.dat file. If I start JackpotCoin QT with an empty wallet it will sync 100% but if I then quit QT and restart with my wallet.dat file it crashed right after the "Loading block index" finishes. My wallet.dat file is about 72mb large and contain many thousands of transaction and I assume that is the reason it crashes. Is it some how possible to use the wallet with CLI instead?
Mine is 50MB crashes at the same time as yours. i have thousands of transactions also from staking. my second wallet i am not letting stake so it doesn't happen again but would really like to get my 10million JPC back. You may try to use Linux, it may quite complicated because jpc source is quite old, so it is challenging to meet all dependency requirements and to avoid version conflicts. |

A raspberry can not handle it with this block#. You need to use a decent hardware such as i5 cpu and 8gb memory. Also use the provided data, otherwise it may take several months to catch up.  I just setup a new client with 1.4.1 on a raspberry pi3 i had sitting in a corner for a while. However, it will take a lot of time to catch up to the current block.
I tried to use the chain data provided in the previous post, but unfortunately it did not work on the raspberry.
The main problem is, that jpc only uses one thread for block verification. I can't remember if there was the possibility to use more than one core/thread.
Anyone knows?

(2) Once you download the chain data file, copy all contents of jpc directory of the zip file into C:\Users\username\AppData\Roaming\JackpotCoin (3) Copy your wallet.dat file to the above directory. (4) Download the winjpc141 file and unzip it. (5) Make sure you change user id and password in JackpotCoin.conf. (6) run jackpotcoin-qt.exe. But I sent it to ETH address of Yunbi, not 1ST address. It's my fault. The 1st dev team and Yunbi exchange both can verify the tokens are lost permanently. So my suggestion is to reissue the same amount of new tokens to the original owner if possible. If this is not possible, then the exchange may reimburse his loss, and implement ERC 20 tokens handling interfaces to prevent the future incidents like this. I guess Yunbi is not a just small miner exchange for the 1ST project. If it has the strategic interests on this, compensating this small loss will contribute on a lot bigger benefits for PR effects. |

A new dev is going to work on the coin, ensure maintenance and add new features. It's not 100% official yet but should be confirmed in the coming hours/days.

as you may know, I'm not the dev, I'm just someone who helped maintain all social and marketing aspects. I would like to bring you some better news, but it seems the remaining dev has decided to move on too (all contacts are lost at the moment), so the coin now needs a take over.
Although I would like to move on too, I don't mind keeping working on it. I have enough coins to help promotion and a reboot, but a serious dev is needed to ensure a good future.
I'm awaiting for proposals and any help is welcome in finding motivated people to work on it.
I own JPC coins, been here form the start and never sold a coin, sometimes I regreted it but I feel there is something special here so when I have sold a lot of other coins I always kept my JPC even when the price was at 88... I have mined, staked and bought and now have a nice amount which I hope will be worth more soon I can't do programming etc. my self but this coin interest me so I'm willing to pitch in and pay a bit for development of JPC. Perhaps there is more people willing to do that? Including myself, there are still many supporters who are willing to help. Right now, we need to know what the dev really has in his mind. We may never hear back from him again, but personally I trust him to do his best to finish at least the pending development. We may still need to prepare some other options for the worst case, but I still want to wait some more time until hearing from the dev. |
