1  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / Re: T-Rex 0.20.1 NVIDIA GPU miner (Ethash, Octopus, Kawpow, MTP) on: April 23, 2021, 08:49:49 PM
After running T-Rex v. 0.20.0 for 9 days (non-stop), it restarted with the following warning: "T-Rex has a problem with GPU, terminating...", after which it recovered and continued to mine.

Is it usually a problem related to defective riser, or do you mine with just one gpu without riser? in this case it may be a problem with the gpu or drivers.

Hey! Thanks for replying. I have a rig with risers, but I haven't received this error in a long time (months). When it happened before it was related to high OC. I'm thinking it could be the OC settings yet again, but since I've dialed them down, now it needs time to recognize that they're too high, hence why it takes many days before it happens.

Unfortunately, T-Rex doesn't say which GPU it has a problem with. If it did, I would've tried remedying the problem more precisely.

Thank you for the input though. I'll have in mind the riser suggestion!

Hi @trexminer!

After running T-Rex v. 0.20.0 for 9 days (non-stop), it restarted with the following warning: "T-Rex has a problem with GPU, terminating...", after which it recovered and continued to mine.

No invalid/rejected shares, no invalid PoW solution, no other errors, etc. What are the most common reasons for this error in particular?

Thanks in advance!

They aren't related. Validate shares tests the validity with the CPU before submitting it. Stale shares
are valid, just too late to be accepted.

Hi! Does that mean that if we're not using this argument in the .bat file we're going to have potentially less valid shares? How does it differ from the Rejected statistics? If I get an Invalid share in the miner, but not a Rejected one, am I not having 1 valid share less either way?

Thanks!
