Hello HCP, thank you for your help. Yes I'm 100% sure, I haven't done any trades or anything just bought BTC a few years ago and split it up between a trezor and ledger and let it sit. So not much history to get confused with. one amount to the trezor and another few others to the ledger nano s, I checked it every few months with no issues and this is the first time I'm having issues. First my issues was a send receive issue which i have a log to show to the ledger help crew. But another forum said to delete the legacy wallet and add it back but thats not possible with the new ledger live just the chrome web app that is no longer active. In electrum i've done the pass phrase and standard wallet with legacy and 12 derivations. Ledger live I increased the gap to 100 with no luck. Thank you so much for your time and help it means a lot!

traced addresses from coinbase and my btc is still in there.
Are you 100% sure that those addresses were actually from your Ledger device? Huh What makes you believe this to be the case? Were they labelled that way in Coinbase? or are you relying on memory? Huh

Ive done 12 derivations on electrum with no results..
What exactly did you do in Electrum? Did you use your 24 words or did you create a standard wallet with the "use a hardware device" option? And what "derivations" did you use? Huh

If you let us know exactly what you've already tried, we won't waste time suggesting things you've already attempted.

Might be a gap limit issue which can be adjusted in any software wallet including Ledger Live    to which your device is connected. Try to increase it above the default value of 20 addresses. If you use Ledger connected to Electrum, official instruction how to increase gap limit  may be useful.

thank you xenon! The link for the electrum increase gap limit article was broken. But in Ledger live I have put it up to 100 with no luck.. But thank you for your time!

Hey Bob, thank you so much for your help! I had the legacy wallet with the BTC but couldn't send receive anything. So one of the threads I was reading said delete the wallet and re add it but there is no way for me to re add the legacy account. I believe the seed is correct because another thread said to get the pin wrong 3 times and redo the seed. (this is when i was trying to solve my issues with sending and receiving the btc.) but when I redid the seed it showed the legacy wallet again but still couldn't send and receive. So now that I deleted the legacy wallet (from reading another post) and can not add it back now. I don't see anything.. but when I check the public addresses the btc is still in there.

The wallet has been sitting for a few years the last time I really dealt with it was when the segwit stuff happened and I had to pick what to switch it to and it made a legacy account. I would periodically check my ledger and make sure everything was ok. and it was. but now this month everything is not ok for the first time.

the receiving addys are from coinbase transfers and also a log I saved from ledger live of my wallet having those send/receive issues. I really just bought BTC a few years ago and split it up partially between a trezor and a ledger nano s and it sat there.

In electrum I did choose legacy and I made maybe 12 derivatives with no luck and also increased my gap limit on the ledger and electrum. Ive sent in a few tickets to ledger about my issue and have not heard anything back. (thats why I was wondering if the original poster heard from them and what they said) I have a log to show them of my account with the BTC in it demonstrating the failed send/receives issue

Im spending a few hours everyday trying to figure out the issue so I really appreciate you taking your time to help me it means a lot!

I am having a similar issue... BTC legacy account not showing up on ledger live or electrum but traced addresses from coinbase and my btc is still in there. Ive done 12 derivations on electrum with no results.. Did you figure your issue out or did ledger ever respond to your tickets? Im not sure what to do now.... any help is appreciated Smiley

Everything in this thread also applies to you:

Did you use more than one legacy account?
1. The 24 word seed is not the correct seed for your Legacy wallet (and/or "the 25th word" if any)
or
2. You did something weird like selected a receive address from the dropdown list in the Chrome App instead of using the "Receive" tab to get an address. If you did this, there is a chance that the address you selected from the Chrome App was either outside the "gap limit" of Ledger Live (and also Electrum)...

It is hard to help you without any information.

When did create your legacy account and where exactly did you get the receiving addresses from ?

Further, if "legacy account is not showing up" in electrum, than you have chosen the wrong script type. You need to choose P2PKH for legacy addresses to show up.
