Someone get the registrar and report this. This should be stopped, many people will lose btc.
I've reported to the registrar(123-reg.co.uk) but they refer me to the actual host, that is webfusion.com. Now I'm still waiting for reply. Feel free to spam them at abuse@webfusion.com Tongue

11  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / Re: I need a virtual desktop for cloud mining, suggestions? on: May 08, 2014, 04:29:06 AM
In cases of not having "screen" on your device (normally it's included in a server based system)
go "sudo apt-get update && sudo apt-get install screen" (without quotes)
12  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / Re: I need a virtual desktop for cloud mining, suggestions? on: May 08, 2014, 04:25:47 AM
To get the <host>.<pid>.<session>, type
screen -ls

For accidents

When quit without detaching the process, you may receive a message of "no process detached"
type "screen -d -r <host>.<pid>.<session>" (without quotes)

When detached two or more process instead of one
type "screen -r <host>.<pid>.<session>" (without quotes)

Have fun Cheesy
13  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / Re: I need a virtual desktop for cloud mining, suggestions? on: May 08, 2014, 04:18:26 AM
Here's the deal, I am from Europe and I have my uncle in Brazil has granted me access to the infrastructure of computers of his company, I've been cloud mining for the past few hours and I got decent results, I'm mining on multipool and I'm getting about 7 Mh/s, I have a problem though, my computer cannot be online for to long, it's a very poor machine, constantly overheating and crashing, but considering that I can only cloud mine through SSH on putty, if I turn off my computer, the cloud mining stops, I need some sort of virtual desktop on the web from which I can control the remote computers, in a way that I am able to shutdown my machine and the process keeps doing.

Any suggestion?
by using ssh
you can use the command
"screen"
it enables detach of the process(still running, just functioning like minimize in windows) thus running even when you're off
How to use:
Detaching(doing this when want to mine and let it be)
1. logon the ssh console as you should be
2. type "screen" (without the quotes) and press enter
3. press space to acknowledge the rules(ain't reading for sure Grin)
4. type your miner command as usual
5. when the thing starts press CTRL+A(hold the both) and tap D (tap!)
6. you will see a message Process detached from <hostname>.<processid>.<sessionname>
7. done! (you can close the ssh console with the process detached from foreground and still running)
Attaching(doing this when want to see the current status of the miner or making changes or whatever operation involved)
1. logon the ssh console as normally
2. type "screen -r" (without the quotes) and press enter
3. you will see your mining status

Has anyone heard something about what happend with them? It looks like I lost my LTC & APC ;\.
I think the site is a dumping thing, as the host is unreachable. Yeah looks like it.
16  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / [Discuss]Does anybody(or corp.) can have the hash speed to control the network? on: May 01, 2014, 04:43:05 PM
Any opinions and predictions are welcomed.
As far as I know, cex.io, if they expand their speed, they will have the power to do the 51% thingy.
But they announced that they won't do that
So I've been thinking that is it still possible for a person or a corporation(except cex.io) to get through in the near future? (or even couple of years later?)
17  Bitcoin / Mining / Re: could I use a old server for mining? on: May 01, 2014, 04:04:59 PM
I have a friend working in a financial institution having access in more than 10 IBM blade servers. He runs there since Nov 2013 cpuminer later in 2014 when it became available to mine LTC and sell them for BTC he changed this now he is almost running all his machines with  multipools but IMPORTANT he has not paid for them he DOES not pay electricity to run them so the fact is that he received as at today with 100Khs about 5 USD per week free.
Who can say I dont want them Huh?

So your friend is risking his job and stealing from his employer for $20/month.  You should probably look for better friends than idiotic thieves.

Thanks for your suggestion I admire your job and the honest reply.
I must say I do not always aproove my friends actions and further I am not responsible for them
I run my miners at my personal bussiness and my home
Member of BTC-guild as well and thanks for your good efforts and job,  since we met here.
regards
Getting a miner is still better(and less stress for cpu) than using the cpu to mine. why don't just recommend your friend to get one? a 200kh/s is not that expensice already nowadays
18  Bitcoin / Mining / Re: Linux CPU Miner? on: April 27, 2014, 01:53:12 AM
Is there such a thing? If so: link to download?

You can try cpuminer.
http://sourceforge.net/projects/cpuminer/files/

choose your right distro from the list.
cheers
Although CPU miner is available, but don't do it as it is wasting your time and money(seriously, i've tried and ignored others' warning and resulted in loss due to electricity costs)

Dah tentu Forum nie "other language/location...  Cheesy

Jadi kenapa nak guna bahasa ingris?  Huh

Kalau nak guna bahasa ingris, jangan gunakan sub forum ni... terus je kat forum utama "main forums"!
