So why take the Kickstarter route? Are you trying to legitimize yourself?
2  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: Memix: The Mixed-Reality Blochain-Based Game. Kickstarter Launch on: August 30, 2017, 09:04:12 PM
Interesting idea. Will keep this on my radar.

"I warned you Monero folks back in late 2015 and early 2016 that Zerocash was superior and y’all needed to move on. But of course you never listen. All you know how to do is ridicule and ban me. Payback is a bitch and I’m just getting started ".

Where's the Ron Burgandy GIF?
4  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Tokens below their ICO price on: July 17, 2017, 05:02:10 PM
Great idea.
It would be very interesting to create a list with all tokens and their ICO price. (+ if there was a presale or discount).
Let's do it !

Too difficult to choose the best one, I mean there is no one that gives teh real product for the users. All of them have the same chance to be success in the future, But not until the real product gets roll over.
Product = proof if the project already successful

It will be even more difficult. Check this site out...https://www.icoalert.com/

TOP 5 ETH Tokens ROI since ICO:

1. Etheroll         +9731.01%
2. Golem           +3720.22%
3. Augur            +3707.18%
4. Swarm City    +2861.73%
5. Iconomi         +2278.65%

Why isn't Civic on the list? I think it has a good chance

Added.

I know. ICO's are nauseating, and they will eventually destroy planet Earth. Before our imminent demise, some of these Turd-Tokens may have some actual use. I have looked at most of them, and have found only one in which I would actually buy as an investment. The rest... meh. Anyways, choose one that you believe in, and give a short comment why? Or just post they are all crap because Spoetnik said so.

8  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: [XMR] Monero Speculation on: March 17, 2017, 02:43:45 AM
Really thought the BTC ETF would double my BTC in maybe a month or so. Instead XMR did it in 6 days?? I said my target was .0225 the other day, but that seems like a given now. Wonder how many more folks will hedge with Monero? The longer I hedge, the more I read the forums, and my interest grows. Clever marketing boyz Wink

Welcome.  Smiley
However, after spending some time in this thread you will realise our biggest flaw (according to our critics) is we do "no marketing".

Moneroj comes with lashings of irony though.

Welcome? I thought the XMR community was hostile and aggressive?  Wink

I know marketing is sore spot, that's why it's clever to have fundamentals as its backbone for marketing. The more you read, the more you see the light. Incidentally, XMR is getting pumped when China is up, wonder if there is any correlation given the capital controls being implemented? Pretty hard to blacklist moneroj... right? Fungibility is becoming more important as every year passes.

When will XMR surpass Dash again? Last big pump cost more than 100000 BTC to get last ATH. But Dash has much less volume, their pump is crazier than us.

The buy walls have been pretty tame for a pump this big, but the limited supply is the reason. When Dash first started to pump, there was almost no coins being lent out, rates were crazy. Combine that with an orchestrated shill blitz... you get $100.

Right now XMR has been ranging during the last 6 months. Support of .0093 resistance of about .0147 so .0120 being the average. So XMR is looking decent, but does it have legs? (I get the value, being truly fungible and the idea of it being privacy centric, instead of it being an option like Zcash). Mobile wallet, GUI out of beta, DNM vendors, Coinbase... all these things will bring value, but when?

For most of you hardcore monero types, you probably don't care when, you know eventually you will be rewarded. But I am not one of you. I got in as a hedge last Friday during the ETF announcement. It worked out great so far, but now I am seeing BTC stabilize, and contemplating on switching back. The only problem... BTC is fucked right now. Both sides are making a play. One side wants BTC to be something, and the other wants another thing. BTC is risky as hell as an investment, and now this?

I am inclined right now to stay in XMR. I think the Dash SPECULATORS are just that. Speculators, not a bunch of die hards like you guys. I see this as one of Moneroj greatest strengths.  So when the music stops, they will FOMO XMR to .0225 is my guess. Why XMR? Greed. Everybody is already setting it up on Polo. "If Dash could do this with crappier tech, then watch what XMR does"! Or the speculators find Jesus and his name is Evan, and join the DashCult.

Spoetnik is a Dash shill? Lmao! Always knew he was a douchebag! No Spoetard... i'm not a monero fanboy. Just love watching you destroy what little credibility you had with dumb noobs you sandbagger! Thanks for the Birthday gift you fuckin idiot!  Grin You know... this place doesn't stink so much right now. Like a window opened, and let all the stink out.
12  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Rumours That Dash Will Kill Bitcoin on: March 03, 2017, 12:51:37 PM
Grin You guys are blind and insane, keep holding bitcoins and writing conspiracies...
Bitcoin is only good for holding, but not for transactions and many other problems that never will get solved. Years passing and we still getting only promises while Dash fucking Bitcoin.

Hey jack-ass! The guy posting above you? I was there when he TOLD Evan he was barking up the wrong tree.

Hey AnonyMint, welcome back. Your questions have been some of the best that we’ve gotten and really have helped the design of DarkSend, I really do appreciate your input.

CoinJoin can't work. Period. I had another debate in the CoinJoin thread a few weeks ago with gmaxwell and I won. Go read it for yourself.

The problem is you can't prevent someone from denial-of-service attacking by refusing to sign the second stage of the operation. They can block all DarkSends this way.

There is not any anonymity offered by DarkSend, because the shorts will simply attack it once the coin becomes valuable and DarkSends won't get processed. The system will jam. And the price will plummet.

Earlier in the development someone attacked DarkSend this way and broke it for a day or so. I ended up coming up with what I call collateral transactions. A collateral transaction is a transaction that is only sent to the master node and if broadcast will transfer money from the node in question to the master node.

The main problem is CoinJoin happens in 3 main stages:

1.) ACCEPTING INPUTS (inputs are the money I’m sending)
2.) ACCEPTING OUTPUTS (outputs are who I’m sending to)
3.) SIGN INPUTS (everyone signs their input separately then sends them)

In stage 2, what if someone fails to send their output?
In stage 3, what if someone fails to sign?

So with blind signing (footnote 1) when a user adds an output, you know it’s one of your users but you don’t know which. So if a user fails to provide outputs, the whole session must restart and no one can be punished.

I've thought about multiple designs for DarkSend, many of which do have the issue you’re talking about:

Design A: Users provide inputs and collateral, then later will provide outputs. The master node must know which user didn’t provide the outputs to be able to charge him. If we use blind signing we can’t charge the bad actor fees.

Design B: Users provide inputs, outputs and collateral at once. In this case the master node knows who is sending money to who, but later it can tell who didn’t sign.

I’ve chosen to use design B (users will add inputs and outputs at the same time) because it’s the only design that can’t be attacked in the way you’re saying.

//Accepting inputs
1. User A provides (Input, txCollateral, Output1, Output2)
2. User B provides (Input, txCollateral, Output1, Output2)
3. User C provides (Input, txCollateral, Output1, Output2)

//Signing
1. User A provides (Input, txCollateral)
2. User B fails to provide to sign
3. User C provides (Input, txCollateral)

//Fees
1. User B is charged

So to be clear, the master must know who is sending money to who. But ONLY the master node will need to know this. Beyond that the blockchain is still anonymous, and master nodes can be decentralized among the users of the network.

Moneroman888 had a similar style @Memento. Turn people off by posting. It was a sockpuppet account meant to devalue what he was pumping. A counter-shill. You must be one for Dash. Your thread is ridiculous. I am now infected with your stupidity. May god have mercy on your soul.

Peter looked like the guy who laughed at him before the 2008 crisis. BTC is the new Gold standard. As of now, $10 away from parity. Can't wait to see the lamestream cover this.
16  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN] IPO of MaidSafe:  Entering the Future of the Decentralized Internet on: February 21, 2017, 06:40:54 AM
When should we expect further news? Is there updated roadmap with a specific dates?

There's a roadmap here >> https://maidsafe.net/roadmap.html#network but no dates though, best is to follow the weekly updates on the forum. In the coming months we can expect this:

  • TEST 12c - Better routing with disjoint groups, bugs removed, might be the last test before we'll see Alpha 2. Alpha 2 will allow people to support the network from home with Vaults.
  • The SAFE Browser with Authenticator - This will bring us just 1 tool to connect to the network, create an account, upload data/websites, run Apps and more.
  • Loads of APIs so devs can connect their Apps to SAFE.
  • Alpha 2 - People can connect using the browser like explained above. People can support the network by running a Vault from home.

This is it a bit. After this they will implement "Data chains" and "Node ageing" probably with "Archive nodes". All needed to make your data last forever on the network if you prefer. This sounds like a bit more work than it actually is. There's already a bunch of code for the datachains here: https://github.com/dirvine/data_chain
Think of it as certain Vaults storing all groupdata. So if the internet ever goes down, SAFE can republish all data and accounts without any problem.

I expect TEST 12c this week. If all works as expected they'll move to 'Alpha 2' while working on "data republish" for the coming weeks. Meanwhile a lot of work on the APIs and front-end as well.

Hope that clears things up a bit.

Nice summary! Yeah, Data chains are the real prize. I know they have a few more things to work out before implementation, so good luck to them.

Do you know what Gulag? Those are the camps where the NKVD exiled convicts. They were similar to the conditions of prisoners in German concentration camps. You've seen it in Canada?

DD-Lex, how do you say metaphor in Russian?
This is not a metaphor! This is an attempt to humiliate Canada. Felt tactics Russian. In fact, in Russia and 50% of the freedom that is and will be in Canada after the adoption of this law.

I think you miss the point of my quip. Lost in translation much?
