Please read my thread ---  you may have missed something Wink

For some reason, there isn't a lot of Scrypt ASIC support here.  I think at least some of the small miners like Gridseed Orbs should be supported to help get the currency more accepted.  It's easy enough to hook one up, but when you start using several with the same computer and so on it gets more complicated.

It's very time consuming for newbies to figure some things out for themselves.  I'll keep my eye on these questions to see if I can help so I can give back, but I've only been doing this about four months.

My previous post was in relation to Zeus  not Gridseed Smiley

I am having problems with my Zeusminer x2 scrypt ASIC miner 28 mhz.  Same thing it seems, sometimes just plugging it in and out worked, or had to reinstall UART to USB, then Zadig. But now trying on two computers it's not accepting.  I don't mind becoming a WinUSB guru, but it seems the learning curve is slow because it's just a slog of information and not many people able to give tech advice to connect the dots.  Should I be editing registry now that it's failed?

Why the random workings and not-working? What is kicking it out?  Nothing in computers needs to be seen as random. Something is effecting the state of the machine.

I have tried to get it to work on the 2nd computer but not for very long.  I just saw it wasn't registering in Zadig after I installed UART to USB.  Zadig shows nothing but a webcam driver (which I never used and it has a built in one) and thought maybe it's the miner that's broken.

(((((( . ((  I have been playing with some Gridseed blades I just got hold of --- pain in the ass  lol  )) <--- \\.EDIT Got this sorted ))))))

Anyway back on topic.

After much more searching, I found a likely solution.
Seems the little info out there points to a failing PSU.
It may run the machine but not the juice needed to make the chips do what they should. ?

Got my hands on a 1850W PSU I need to wire up / solder etc.

Will report back if this is indeed the cause.

added nocheck golden to command line

cgminer.exe --scrypt -o stratum+tcp://stratum.f2pool.com:8888 -u  -p  --scan-serial \\.\COM3 --zeus-chips 256 --zeus-clock 234 --zeus-nocheck-golden

restarted and now get this --- but still no accepted shares

downloaded the cgminer you pointed to

edited the "example" bat file with my info --

ended up with  cgminer.exe --scrypt -o stratum+tcp://stratum.f2pool.com:8888 -u xxxxxx -p xxxxxx --scan-serial \\.\COM3 --zeus-chips 256 --zeus-clock 234
pause

getting :-

zeus detect: test failed at \\.\COM3: got 00000000, should be 00038d26

repeating except for new block report and work restarts.

will have a go with BFG later I think Sad

thanks
7  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / Re: zeus lightning miner HELP plz on: December 28, 2016, 01:07:41 PM
Sorry.

Windows 10

cgminer 3.1.1

cgminer.exe -o stratum+tcp://stratum.f2pool.com:8888 -u xxxxxxxxx -p xxxxxxx -S //./COM5 --chips-count 256 --ltc-clk 234 --ltc-debug --nocheck-golden

exactly same for the smaller rig except for the  chip count and clock numbers - that works fine

drivers should be ok as the other rig works.

Never used BFG couldnt get either to work on that Sad

thanks
8  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / zeus lightning miner HELP plz on: December 28, 2016, 12:20:48 PM
Hi.

Had a problem for a while with this 40M machine.
Seemed to be the USB, well that is how it looked as sometimes simply plugging in and out sorted it.
I was using various cables in various set ups.

Now it will not send nor receive - though it still gets hot and the fans spin.

I even replaced USB board inside with same one from my Zeus 10M rig.

CGMiner 3.1.1
EVGA 1300
F2Pool - LTC

Any help is appreciated

Thank you

I'm looking at it now.  Blocks are rollin' in at a good pace. You can see it on https://zetablocks.cointech.net/chain/ZetaCoin

Difficulty is currently rising.

My pool has been idle, so it's not coming from here.

Is this coin under attack ?

normally theres a few blocks every minute.

last hour has seen hundreds and I mean hundreds.

the diff was 120k +   and went down as low as 22k  even while the blocks were rolling in.

how can some farm  make loads of coins while making the diff fall.

sorry for my ignorance of how the diff works but I allways thought diff rises more coins found
to slow them to a pre calculated  average

Weird user on over last few days -- constantly switching from mining Mazacoin and I do not know what.
Not sure if he is mining elsewhere on pool or just  in out in out shake it all about  ... hmmmm

refresh and he is top  -- refresh and he is gone -- refresh and he is back at top ?

Strange because we all know when you add to pool it takes a while for your hashes to show...
this guy seems to  be top then gone -- then back again

while everyone else seems to -- be normal.

Maybe his home farm is set to flick backwards and forward  between pool or something --or he is  throwing  bits of time between pools that
are mining same coin so he gets some shares in on each.

Whatever he is up to seems to be having a  effect on users on this pool , mind the others -- difficulty  seems to vary greatly along with users habits.

User is 138466.

//edit

just caught him disappearing -- ( was still registering some  )

1      VitaNet   11215019
2      138466   6567749 <----------- HIM at 22:42

when at top ------>    15500000 ish ---

obviously 0 when gone

I am in UK  and had ( have ? ) near 5 BTC out of my reach on Cryptsy.

Who exactly is doing the Lawsuit and how do I send in claim.

On a less or maybe more serious note , anyone have an
eccentric billionaire needing something worthwhile to squander their money on --

-- like helping out all us unfortunate types who had coins on Cryptsy --

We are the ones  who thought it was in safe hands -- and the others who
never checked the news etc.

hmmmm -- someone mention it to Clinton - she needs all the votes she can get
her hands on lol --

//goes back outside with begging cup and sign reading " Bitskint - please help"

he he

I know I should not have chosen that name Sad

Hey Guys,

If you would be able to get the full private key for one address for free... would you accept this offer?

We get that every time we download a new wallet Cheesy
15  Economy / Speculation / Re: If bitcoin rose to $1M, what you do? on: August 06, 2016, 09:15:09 PM
I am sorry to be the bearer of bad news.

Bitcoin as it is will only fund the market as it is ... trading / specs / wan't to earn something .... etc.

LONG TERM :-  governments will close it down.

Really -- you expect a currency that will bring countries  like USA CHINA UK GERMANY down to continue ?

What I would say -- earn as much as you can as soon as you can --- then GET OUT.
16  Economy / Exchanges / Re: Bitfinex HACKED - funds stolen ! on: August 06, 2016, 07:13:13 PM
Bitcoin.com covers hack:

Blocknet: Exit Centralized Exchanges Now Amid ‘Damaged Confidence’
https://news.bitcoin.com/blocknet-centralized-exchanges/

Thank you for that Mr Government

I would not rule out these supposed hacks being by the NSA or some other agency.

They  ( most gov's ) must be scared of BTC

HEY

you know I almost forgot all about CRYPTSY !!

until I logged in and saw I once posted to this thread,

like a bad memory of something I did on a weekend years ago !!

Akin to the coyote ugly joke where one chews off his arm so not to wake her, Paul Vernon chews off the arm draped across him, then steals his wallet and sniffs his BVDs one last time prior to exiting to some far-away land.

Could someone open an Elvis and the president were assassinated thread ? - preferably with all contributors input from this one.

Gleb - it would really take some strain off / distract us all while the class action etc. take all our money/coins Sad

On  a serious note.

New class action against the bitcoin core developers - option or not ?

The chain should have had an anti fraud security feature built in -

Let's look at it another way --

http://uk.businessinsider.com/the-internet-is-controlled-by-14-people-2014-3?r=US&IR=T

We are led to believe the internet is held together by a number of key holders -- all vetted etc.

Bitcoin chain and all altcoins should have had a similar kind of protection.

A number of people should have had the keys -- and only got together on rare occasions like fraud.

Maybe a second tier to make sure the first were acting legit --

This "ledger is secured by its users and transaction being confirmed " crap is flawed -- flawed so much its lost people
their lively-hoods :/

So , he we go - watch as the lawyers rake in the money and the rest of us get nothing.

Here in UK we can not claim , even if we wanted to.

//waves bye bye to my BTC that I had painfully collected and mined.

 Roll Eyes

Could be that the coins are returned and they preparing every ones accounts , removed some  coins myself and the  account worth ( what it says was in the account as a whole in BTC ) did not change.

Or .....

I'm starting to catch up on some things like I've learned that Cryptsy_Jim is Jim Shockney and it just dawned on me that this is JShock from the message board on Cryptsy.

SOB, I've been spelling his name incorrectly, perhaps because having SLok of BFL on the brain.

The following is a pic of Jim Shockney and his slut wife, Ginny. I would link you to her videos, but I guess Jim wasn't too keen on the idea of me jacking off to them, hence their removals.

FOOPILE has become terrible. They don\’t ship, or respond to \”Support Tickets\”. For those being burned (and I\’m one) you might be interested in the information that I have found. This site is owned by Brawnco, Inc., which in turn is owned by Paul Vernon. His address is 8656 Tourmaline Blvd. Boynton Beach, Florida 33472. This is provided for anyone who wants to write this deadbeat. The only other officer of this Nevada Corporation is Virginia Bryant (Treasurer), 5040 Plainview Rd, Pineland, Texas 75968. You might want to drop her a line also.

Like Jim Shockney said, he and Paul Vernon's relationship goes back 20 years. And, just like Sonny Vleisides and Jeff Ownby's relationship spanning the same timespan, they've fucked all they could along the way to line their pocketbooks. Ironically Jeff Ownby worked for John Hammes aka BitJohn's dad.

We need to watch every move JShock/Jim Shockney/Cryptsy_Jim makes.  We need to see if he makes any big purchases with our money.  And we need to do the same with Paul Vernon if we can ever find him.

Do not worry , they are already being watched/sought after by some very nasty people.
I think it will only be a matter of time that said people move in and take the law into their own hands.

Only thing holding them back at this time is the none movement of coins , but that wont stop them forever !!!

The people holding the coins need a way out , and that is to return them.
Because there is not a chance in hell now those coins can move without them being traced.

One year , two , five , ten , twenty .. ... still will be unable to  move them.

So option is to return them.
Even if bounty is paid , Cryptsy and it's users can move on.

So if the real person holding the coins is reading... make the right choice .. for every ones sake.

I'm sure that's the case, but I recommend that we don't do any physical harm to anyone or use vigilante justice.  We shouldn't stoop to the level of criminals, plus anyone that hurts anyone is going to get into trouble.  I think we need to just track everything they do and watch every purchase they make and keep an eye on any business they start, etc.  We don't want to get in trouble ourselves.

In no way do I condone violence , for whatever reason.
I have major losses myself , and I am not after blood.

But we all know there are people out there that see a theft no matter how big
as a theft , and will be after their property back at whatever price it takes.

LOL  spend a Million to get a Milllion back ...   crazy
