1  Economy / Speculation / Re: Finally we may see under $400 on: April 10, 2014, 11:13:54 PM
$400 looks likely. It's at $413 now, down from around $450 earlier today.

Under $400 is very likely. The demand has completely dried up. I saw the same thing happen in 2011.

What I have said back then and now is that the big money players have simply lost too much money trying to pump bitcoin up. They have decided to let it fall.

It will probably be a controlled fall. I wouldn't expect big drops.

Nobody is asking the simply question. Why was bitcoin $10 dollars before china, why is bitcoin again not $10 after china.

Maybe it won't go as low as $10, but it will fall under $200. Just give it time, the demand simply won't be there.

So there have been no positive developments in the bitcoin ecosystem and we owe everything to China? I disagree.

Here is a very positive development.
Major French Supermarket Chain to Accept Bitcoin
https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=563444.0

Agreed. And their competitor (Carrefour) could very well be next.

Yeah sure, Monoprix is a major chain ... lol. They got something like 2% of the market in France.
On top of that they don't even say they will adopt bitcoin. CEO is just triing to make headline in newspaper as his company is losing market share.

So much bullshit.
2  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Will anyone admit that bitcoin is looking like a sophisticated ponzi scheme? on: April 10, 2014, 10:39:03 PM
Hard to say. I don't think so  but the only one who can tell is Mr. Nakamoto ( or the inventors of Bitcoin whoever they are ).

But cryptocurrencies have attracted a huge ammount of lowlife and scammer. They surely do everything they can to turn it into one. It doesn't help.

Future is now. We are the future and future of Bitcoin is in OUR hand...

Probably not, I would not be surprised if you are looking straight at the sun, right now.

Edit:wording

My sun is here: LOOK STRAIGHT into it! What does it feels like? Smiley

Well, i hope the best for you and hope your optimism will serve you well but I am afraid youll get burned soon.
4  Economy / Speculation / Re: please tell me i've done good? on: April 10, 2014, 09:07:44 PM
so, i'm not that old, about 13, i don't have a job and i don't have a lot of savings to invest.......

after a huge amount of research, and in a moment of madness i withdraw from my college fund, which is technically mine although its my parents who pay into into it.

i've managed to buy 12 bitcoins. i'll be holding these indefinitely, even if the btc price drops 90%. no trading, although i may sell x amount to cover my expenses if things go well.

please reassure me i've done good?

and is 12 btc a good position?

and no lectures.

thanks

This looks like an other bullshit story to raise confidence of unaware people .

Edit :  didnt read the date of op post
5  Economy / Speculation / Re: Greatest Pump'n'Dump Ever on: April 10, 2014, 08:34:49 PM
Denial about bitcoins price has different phases. Right now we are seeing the conspiracy phase.
During this phase, people will make up all kinds of fantastic stories how the bitcoin price is dropping because of government conspiracy/banking conspiracy/alien conspiracy or all three tied together. There will be plenty of posts like this.
When this phase is over, then there will be a "let's blame each other" phase, where people start to post weird rants about blaming everyone involved for destroying bitcoin. This could also be called the "We could of have heaven, but you sold your coins and ruined it all!" phase. But at first we will get tired of seeing the conspiracy phase before the first posts of the next phase will start to appear.

nice one. According to the theory, after denial and anger ( 2 steps discribed ) we still will see bargaining, depression and acceptance to finish the cycle.
Might see a reversal after that

Haha, no risk. I am a newcomer here but have been watching bitcoin for a couple of year already.
It's fascinating to follow the rise of cryptocurrencies.
It's entertaining to look at this forum.
It's sad to see what Bitcoin has become

9  Economy / Speculation / Re: BTC will have no more "to the moon" rises. Face it, BTC is becoming BANKING on: April 10, 2014, 06:24:30 PM
Even if OP is obviously butthurt.
His post show some common sense , wich is not the rule here.
Bicoin price fall has apparently some nice collateral effect on bitcoiner and raise average awareness

11  Economy / Speculation / Re: Wall Observer BTC/USD - Bitcoin price movement tracking & discussion on: April 10, 2014, 06:06:25 PM
It's kinda funny to see people using flawed chart analysis technique to predict the futur price of Bitcoin.
There are solid reasons why Bitcoin price is diving ( and the bleed is not over ) .
Keep it real and use your brain.
Anyway, thx, I am enjoying the show.
