1  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN] Miner Control 1.6.1 - Auto profit switching miner controller on: July 13, 2015, 02:23:38 PM
Any plans on adding the YAAMP clones that are popping up?
Should be pretty easy since they expose the same API.

KBomba or StuffOfInterest:  Will/Could anyone of you update MinerControl so that it could be used with the different yaamp clones?  That would be awesome!  Smiley

I know it might be a big job to do, especially with families and a day job, etc.

If you are capable of compiling Miner Control yourself, it isn't really too difficult to add your choice of YAAMP clone (with the exception of YIIMP, due to no auto-conversion). I've modified KBomba's fork and have FFPool, Hashpower, and (very) basic YIIMP support.

What did you do for yiimp,  I was debating just adding 1 algorithm to watch for on it,  like setting up 1 service per also.

Added hashpower to mine as well,  next goal is mining pool hub.

The way the code is setup,  each clone would have to be entered.   I got ffpool up and running on my own compiled version.

Funny that this was mentioned.  I was planning on opening a nomp based pool in the upcoming weeks, and wanted to ask if I setup a percentage to go to c&c, would nvidia miners utilize the pool.  With so many pools existing already, was hoping this would be a way to get hashes sent my way and to distinguish the new pool from the others.  Planning to use the marketing phrase "feeding the green machine", lol.

Been using nomp software for private pools for awhile, and thought supporting c&c directly would be a good option.  And yes to the troll from a couple of pages ago, I am proud to say I am a c&c fanboy.

Was thinking something like 1.25% pool, 0.25% c&c. What is everyone's thoughts on this?  Worth the time and effort?  I certainly hope so.

Also wanted to add, thank you to be Christians for their tireless efforts, and to cbuchner1 specifically, yes the wife let me keep my rig so far, lol.

ca1ne....GREAT job compiled great Thank You

NP.  Just glad it helped.  They accidentally left precompiled files in that folder, so when you were trying to compile it was seeing one already done, I'm assuming for windows and the make process would fail..  or something like that lol, its late.  Have a good night.

Oh yeah, I just see someone with over 1Ghs scrypt at ipominer.com

1       csshih   1,052,377    49,676.904
2      Wuher   487,407    23,007.792

I smell some ASICs around here. Anyone still mining scrypt ??

from time to time, last time was on BC (was rather profitable... )
(23MHash, is not necessarily uncommon... but ok, we know there are out...)

This most likely is the nicehash rental .  The admin of ipominer is even posting in that rental pools post.

[2014-04-11 01:54:46] accepted: 112/112 (100.00%), 29190 khash/s (yay!!!)

I am sure we can do better Wink

I was wondering, wouldn't you be able to compile a module and have cudaminer/ccminer check to see if it is present, it uses your custom adaption of the algorithm, if not present uses the sph version.  Wouldn't that satisfy gpl, since without the precompiled module it would still be fully functional?  Example I have is gpl open source android kernel, that has precompiled drivers for prop hardware, etc.  The precompiled module then could confirm that your software is what is calling it.  Just a thought, instead of rewriting base code.  A simple option would to offer as you do now a precompiled version and have a md5 checksum confirmation from your module.
