Wall Street Bets Token (**WBS** - typo is intentional to avoid any indication of official WSB mod support) is a meme token with governance and NFTs in the pipeline and some actual potential to go somewhere. They are NOT affiliated with the WSB subreddit but do have their permission to use the name and likeness.
 
ICO launched back in February, but they recently released a pegged and bridged BSC token (**bWBS**) to allow for low-fee trading of the token. The telegram group has 250 members at the time of writing, almost 150 of those joining in the past 24 hours because of the BSC token release.
 
The team is working on releasing NFTs and setting up a forum for holders to partake in governance of the contract. Several ideas are already being floated, but nothing is concrete yet.

At the end of the day, WBS is by and large a meme token. Whether it gains traction depends a lot on hype and NFT being successful, but basing it on the WSB community provides some real potential for that. I don't have to tell anyone how they like their diamond hands.
 
Let me be completely upfront that this token is **not** a sure thing. There is potential for it to go south as there is with almost any new cryptocurrency. However, as someone who usually holds my assets for a very short time, I have decided to take a bet on WBS with all I've seen from them, and I doubt I will regret it.

What is WallStreetBets Token?

WallStreetBets is a cryptocurrency token made for the community, by the community (yes, the real WallStreetBets community from Reddit) most of us there are retail traders, but we also have access to a talented development team. With the current surge in retail traders vs hedge funds/Wall Street Suits, we are planning on making this token yet another tool for the community to use to give us an edge over them. Who are developers behind the project:

The team was formed after some discussions around creating a WSB themed token, primarily as a meme to start with, but as discussions progressed, the idea grew. The team are mostly active traders that all met on WSB reddit.

Why are the names of developers not public?

The idea is for the token to be faceless and community based. We feel that naming the individuals behind this goes against the idea of the token. Whilst development is done by individuals, the direction is decided by the holders.

Why is there no Roadmap, and Whitepaper?

A roadmap and whitepaper are not yet required. Realistically, the only thing on the roadmap at the moment is the governance system and a copy and paste of most of the information on this page. The community will decide what and when we do things, not the developers. Will we be a meme coin and join the ranks of Doge? Will we become a true community based governance token and airdrop to WBS holders? We surely don’t know yet, hence no Whitepaper or Roadmap.
