1  Economy / Service Announcements / Re: [ANN] MiningRigRentals.com - Web pool manager - Easy Mass Rentals - Algos! on: November 04, 2016, 03:39:55 AM
We're back up!

We'll be processing tickets as fast as we can.. please be patient, we'll make sure everyone is compensated properly for any missing hash from their rentals
2  Economy / Service Announcements / Re: [ANN] MiningRigRentals.com - Web pool manager - Easy Mass Rentals - Algos! on: November 04, 2016, 03:00:11 AM
We're turning things on slowly and monitoring.. should be fully functional barring any issues in the next hour or 2

We have all nodes online (not yet active to public) and are running internal tests to make sure there are no issues. ETA: Soon!
4  Economy / Service Announcements / Re: [ANN] MiningRigRentals.com - Web pool manager - Easy Mass Rentals - Algos! on: November 03, 2016, 11:11:02 PM
We're optimistically looking at 3-4 hours. We have everything restored and current minus the web node.
We technically could turn on mining now, but are waiting until we can give everyone control over their pools before doing so

We're definitely not shutting off Wink

We're getting pretty close -- unless we hit another setback we're looking at sometime in the next 5hrs. Again, we've not had to restore from this level before, so this is just a very rough estimate.. but we are definitely making good progress.
7  Economy / Service Announcements / Re: [ANN] MiningRigRentals.com - Web pool manager - Easy Mass Rentals - Algos! on: November 03, 2016, 01:27:35 PM
We're working around the clock here and running on little to no sleep (not that it matters to you guys, I understand Cheesy)

All balances are safe, we had some major hdd issues with our main node and are having to rebuild quite a bit of it. But, again, all balances are safe -- we have all of the hot wallets as well as the database secured.
8  Economy / Service Announcements / Re: [ANN] MiningRigRentals.com - Web pool manager - Easy Mass Rentals - Algos! on: November 03, 2016, 04:13:03 AM
Taking much longer than original anticipated -- we're still working on it
9  Economy / Service Announcements / Re: [ANN] MiningRigRentals.com - Web pool manager - Easy Mass Rentals - Algos! on: November 02, 2016, 09:52:21 PM
Another update here:
So the whole raid for web was toast. All balances are secure (just to get that out of the way) -- we're rebuilding the web OS now.
Still no official ETA yet, but soon(tm)

We have all backups restored and are presently working to restore functionality to the web. Still don't have an exact ETA, but I'll keep this thread up to date as we make progress

We're working on adding equihash, but there are severe issues with existing mining software. We lack resources due to a severe downturn in rental volumes lately for any quick solution to the issues. We have completed major changes to our website to support this algorithm, however getting a miner to work on our proxy/pool service is the next step, which we will be working on.

site down?    been acting funny since yesterday..   Sad

We're aware of an issue with our main db node and are working to restore it as quickly as possible

Apologies for the inconvenience

Any updates?

We replaced one of the bad drives in the main RAID array, but ran into a slight hiccup. I don't have an exact ETA, but it shouldn't be too much longer -- again, extremely sorry for the inconvenience.

For goodness sake, learn to PROPERLY configure your damn pool settings, difficulty or how you rent.

Over the past 2 weeks I've had more people rent scrypt and SHA256 rigs from me that had no clue how to properly setup a pool or how
to fracking READ the rig description, where it is explained in the simplest terms how to set the rigs up.

Then they blame everything on the rig even though it was fine before and after the rental . Go figure..

LEARN TO SETUP POOLS or DO NOT RENT!

From time to time we will see a comment that seems to think we have bias to the renters or bias to the rig owners. The truth is a service like ours will always rely on both rig owners and renters. Our service cannot exist without both.

Our system has many tools that facilitate our review process but we do manually review every single rental that processes through our system. It is not impossible to get it wrong the first time. However, throughout our system we have quick links for you to reach support or submit a ticket. We're always happy to review a rental you might have a concern with as we would never pretend that a mistake could not be made. I'm sure if you check around the user base you will find that we never charge a mistake against the rig owner or renter and simply refund from our own funds.

In 90% of the requests for review it is easy enough to look at the charts and see that a rig operates flawlessly before and after the rental period. We then look at comments made in communications to see how responsive both parties were. The next step is to exam the hashrate vs worker difficulty and all of the reported pool messages. Our system to the decimal point then provides an accurate refund amount.

Are you reselling or you created this?

   -MZ

just selling it, i'm not the coder, i did buy it though, but i don't need it anymore

Not to interfere with this sale but You can mass rent hashrate from our site now as it stands.
15  Economy / Service Announcements / Re: [ANN] MiningRigRentals.com - Web pool manager - Easy Mass Rentals - Algos! on: August 01, 2014, 02:48:16 PM
Looking at the average hashrate that appears to be correct. Some of the rig owners were freaking out over it and reseting their rigs though as well as giving 'compensation' time even though I didn't request any or even notice the problem till the time was up. There should be a better way of dealing with this.

Please add the ability to sort only by available rigs or available within X amount of time.

Please make browsers remember your last filter settings.

This may be a me thing, but it'd be great if the page view included all algos and you filtered ones out you don't want. It would give people a more comprehensive view of the mining landscape instead of their little niche like x11. If the advanced options and options in general were more minimalistic they could simply be left open all the time.

It'd be great if the website was refined a bit more, I know that's probably asking to 'do things better', but it often times feels sluggish and you can't freely scroll through the miners

Lots of suggestions here. Thank you for that.

When we added mass rentals we added the ability to create "Profiles."  This is the best way to rent because you create the filter once and only the rigs that meet your requirements will display. Once you have some profiles assembled, renting really is only two clicks.

We naturally considered all rigs in the same list view with filters on the different algos. This was ultimately scratched primarily to keep the site more efficient. There is a ton of information being requested on the various list pages. By listing all of the rigs we would be creating even more demand on the system.

We do want to refine the website. We have added a lot of features since the day we decided to see if anyone would use this service. Each time we add a feature it's literally bolted to the website where there is room.  Because of this, we really need to stay focused on a few more large features we have in development before revising the site. It's better to have the bulk of our features completed before we lay in the lipstick.

It appears there are problems with MRR multiple mining contracts and Coinking. Coinking uses a vardiff that ends up getting insanely high. If you use one worker it ends up ridiculously high depending on how many miners you rent. Definitely not compatible with MRR right now and it appears that you can't manually override the vardiff.

For instance:

All the rigs except for one did this for the entire five hour time period I rented them, of course the payout on the pool reflected this too. They were fine for the first hour or so.

Please note that in the image you've linked, the rig performed near advertised the full duration of the rental. The black line floats near or on the advertised rate. This is the "moving average."  The moving average combines every ~5min snapshot of the share rate as the rental progresses.

What's the fee?

Can't seem to find it anywhere...

Calculated it seems to be around 3%.

Is this correct?

Yes this is correct.

Is the site currently offline?
Whats problem?
i cant connect to it from Russia
Ip 178.187.....

The site was not offline during that period. However, it's possible cloudflare was slow or unresponsive for your region. There was a site outage (not mining/backend) yesterday. Our hosting provider had networking issues. That has since been resolved and we're now testing a migration to another provider as I type this.

I have two questions about the API.

1) Will there be a public API method to get the following per algorithm: Lowest cost/MH, Last rental cost/MH
Getting lowest cost can probably be done today by requesting the complete list, but that's not too efficient.

2) What is the reason for using POST requests instead of GET?

Thanks for a great service!

Sorry about the delayed answers, although we have support over the weekends, we tend to wait until all of us are available during the week to tackle questions.

1. Yes we do have plans to continually evolve the API (development work is ongoing).
2. It will be made compatible with GET

We appreciate the kind words and support.

The hashrate graph is very much like "WU" it's luck based and averages out over time. It's accepted share rate just displayed as hashrate/graph.  Without API we can't see hardware errors, we do see rejects but the rejects could be the rig or they could be the pool so it's a little trickier.
