My S5 has a bad board. If anyone here has a board for sale I'd be interested. PM me.

Heylo folks,

Looking for a little help. I didn't notice when, but sometime within the past month or so, one of my S5's stopped hashing or would produce minimal hashrate. Today I reset it back to the factory default and it won't hash w/ the default config. On the Status dashboard, it shows 30 asics on one board/chain and 26 asics on the other.

There's nothing visually wrong with it, to my eyes. Can you provide me with some guidance?

Swap PSUs, cables, and/or controllers with other miners, try to isolate the issue. It would be unlikely for both hashboards to go bad although not impossible. Take the plastic guards off and look closely for any physical damage/burns. That's roughly where my knowledge ends Grin, maybe others can help more.

Thanks! I'll let you know what I find.

First I discovered that the fan would work for about 2 minutes then just shut off. I replaced the fan w/ 2 corsairs I saw recommended elsewhere on this site, cleaned and reapplied thermal paste, and ran it again to find that one board is just toast. Looking at the board, I can see that a few of the asic chips have melted and seeped through the holes in the PCB.

Would anyone have a working replacement board for sale?
Edit: Or a suggestion as to where I could purchase one. I've googled for replacement parts and have looked on ebay already.

I received this email as well. Just logged into ZenCloud for the first time in a while to see that apparently these are still paying paycoins. If anyone's interested I'll be trying it out with the 10 paycoins I've got.

I really need to ask why people are still on this thread really, 1 year on and you can't let it go. So this is my theory you all live in your parents basements and have no clue.

If you want to do some constructive go masturbate as the shit I look at here makes me think the only thing you must be able to do is play with yourself.

Fuck me get over it an move on to something useful like finding a girlfriend so you no longer need to touch yourself to feel important.

Yes a good 20% of the mining community got scammed, me included but 99% have moved on.

Or you can just go start the new thread about the rest of the scammers pretending to beat the evil J Garza but are now the scammers

Don't you think there is still some validity to the conversation? People are still trying to make paycoin work, even though most of the coins are still held by scam artists AFAIK. LendCoin is a new development from paycoin that deserves some critisism. This thread has been extremely important for those who are looking to get into crypto, heard about paycoin or lendcoin, and need to read some of the truth behind these operations. Without these posts, there could/would have been more people getting scammed IMO.

yes yes. im sure thats true. you love information
lets look at your post history and activity in the community. in short: gtfo

You need to know my history? I got into bitcoin as a miner April of 2014. GAW was selling hardware and I live in Massachusetts so I thought it was a good bet. I bought hardware, got hosted hardware, converted to hashlets, did the whole dance, and ended up net positive on the whole thing. I understand that my profit is someone else's loss.

I'm no longer involved with this mess except that I use cryptsy. That is why I'm concerned with people's experience with cryptsy. If someone on here is calling the cryptsy team scam artists, then I'm curious as to why. Reading information here helped me and others get out of GAW sooner than others, and I value the information here.

Heylo all. Been lurking for a long time here but I'm curious:
Why do people not like cryptsy? Other than the whole prime controller xpy-usd crap.

Because stuff like:

Thanks for the info but I was hoping for something more. This barely has context. I can gather that someone wanted to use cryptsy to buy coins off the books, but did they comply with the request?

I guess I'm looking for something more.

Is anyone having issues SSHing into their S5? I can't seem to accomplish this, although i'd had no issues w/ the S1 or S3.

I changed the WebUI login password, but i've tried root/root as well as root/mypass.

I didn't see any options in the WebUI to enable/disable SSH access.

edit: I found it... root/admin. I think the 2nd post in this thread says to use root/root. dogie, should this be updated?

Heylo.

I'll be hosting a few rigs on LeaseRig, hoping to add more as time goes on. I hang out in the IRC chan if support is needed.
