2  Bitcoin / Hardware / Re: Chinse manufaturers on: August 31, 2017, 03:22:41 AM
Get a lawyer before you order in mass from any Chinese manufacturer......get papers drawn up for YOUR protection.....also I'm sure there is a VERY large minimum order, like 1000 cards if not more  Wink

6  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Technical Support / Re: So I've acquired a hard drive that was once used to mine Bitcoin. on: August 16, 2017, 05:43:11 AM
If he had a wallet on there, the dat file may still be there, look here C:\Users\yourpcname\AppData\Local.Enable show hidden folders.

Just download the bitcoin wallet and let it load a few blocks and shut it down,go back to that location and paste/replace the dat file in the bitcoin folder and fire up the wallet. It will take awhile and about 40-50 gigs of HDD space, but when it is done downloading, you will see if there is any bitcoin in the wallet........it may be encrypted,if so only the guy with the password can get to it.
7  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / Re: Is it safe to use regular, not server psu with asics? on: August 14, 2017, 05:40:23 AM
Also remember not to buy cheapo, noname PSUs. They'll cost you more in the long run with worse efficiency and possibly frying your miner. Reviews are a good place to start, and some good brands include EVGA and Corsair.

Agreed....Newegg has a good review history on most everything.....been very helpful in deciding what is good & what is crap for me  Wink

Whether I buy from them or not..............
8  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / Re: Beginners Hardware on: August 13, 2017, 06:56:03 AM
Depends on how much your power costs??

Less than 4 cents kwh...BTC mining might be profitable......

More than 4 cents kwh...GPU mining might be profitable.....
9  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / Re: How do you start a rig without a power button? on: August 13, 2017, 06:52:40 AM
Been using screwdrivers to sort the pins for well over a decade, NEVER have I had an issue.

Well your a pro....some of us "lower skilled" folks like to buy fancy crap  Cheesy

I've been building HIGH end gaming PCs since 1998,I have never used anything but a jumper wire to start my extra PSUs.

But in 2011 I found folks making these nice switches, and they only cost $5 (or less) with shipping, sooooo  Wink
10  Bitcoin / Hardware / Re: Who likes pod miners? on: August 12, 2017, 04:26:02 AM

11  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / Re: New wanna be Miner. on: August 11, 2017, 11:30:36 AM
Just mine the altcoins with GPU's,you can sell em for BTC on exchanges....and the resale of GPU's is better & the warranties are MUCH better...up to 3 years  Wink

You only need an old dual core CPU & 4 gigs of RAM....get the cards with 4gigs or more of RAM....HDDS need to be 40+gigs.Just get new PSU's to be sure you don't burn up or short your PC out  Grin

Mining Bitcoin is gonna be done by BIG farms only VERY soon.....they keep raising the diff.....so let em have it  Cool

13  Bitcoin / Mining speculation / Re: Found this miner on Craigslist for $75, good deal or junk? on: August 09, 2017, 05:45:23 AM
Unacceptable is a good seller so the psu makes the deal okay.

The op could buy a antminer s-3 and use that Psu

I'm not selling the item I just copied that info so folks would know what everyone is talkin bout without clicking the link to see what everyone is talkin bout  Cheesy

But thanks for the talk up!!!!!  Grin
14  Bitcoin / Hardware / Re: Electrical Question Please on: August 08, 2017, 07:14:48 AM
Be sure to check the wires coming into your building from the pole, just because your panel has room for say 200 amps,if that drop from your pole is only rated at 100 amps (and I have seen MANY like this in homes) you will definitely not like the results  Wink
15  Bitcoin / Mining speculation / Re: Found this miner on Craigslist for $75, good deal or junk? on: August 08, 2017, 07:07:50 AM
Only if you have FREE electric, and then it will still take quite awhile to get the $75 back  Wink

"Prospector Bitcoin Miner 200GH/s - $75

I'm selling my bitcoin miner-it's a Visionman Prospector that mines at 200GH/s. It's got a pretty beefy OCZ 1250W power supply in it"

                       BTC             Dollars
per Day   0.00005846 BTC   $0.20
per Week   0.00040924 BTC   $1.41
per Month   0.00177945 BTC   $6.15

So,about a year, but diff keeps rising so more like a year and a half...........
16  Bitcoin / Hardware / Re: U.N.B.E.L.I.E.V.A.B.L.E. (Alpha-t) on: August 05, 2017, 05:35:54 AM
Thanks for bringing this up  Wink

We need a sticky of ALL failed Miner manufacturing companies........and keep it updated to keep folks from buying into these bastards!!!  Cool

blablabla
* BTC-e is gone.  It will never come back online
blablabla

You are very delusional and you didnt read the last statement, there you go:
https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=2056158.0

Wasn't this already posted a few days ago??

More detailed information about what happened to the BTC-e service

On July 25, 11:00 the FBI staff came to the data center where our server equipment was located and seized all the equipment, servers and databases of our service were on the servers.

Almost 6 days we could not get from our hosting provider the sane information, what happened to our servers, because of this information we publish only now.

July 28, the domain was confiscated.

At the moment, part of the service is arrested by the FBI.

The next update will provide information on what options are available to restore the service, as well as the procedure for obtaining funds, in the event that the service is not started. In the current situation, if the service is not started before the end of August, then from September 1 we will start the process of refund.
In the next 1-2 weeks, we will evaluate and publish information about how much money fell into the hands of the FBI and what amount of money is available for return.

For all those who buried us, I will remind you that the service has always worked on trust, and we are ready to answer for it.
The funds will be returned to everyone!

The arrest of Russian Alexander Vinnik:
Officially declare - Alexander was never the head or employee of our service.

Sincerely btc-e

P.S. In the subject write questions, as far as possible we will answer them.

19  Other / Archival / Re: Pictures of your mining rigs! on: August 01, 2017, 04:58:32 AM

my first real rig  Grin

I am sorry to hear one of your GPU burned, but it is a nice wooden rig. I also wanted to build my first wooden rig soon, planned to start with 1050ti and 1070 on hand first, then later add more cards to max all slots.

BTW, mind sharing the reason why one card burned? I'm really new to mining world, quite nervous about card burning...

Use the fan speed & maybe underclock GPU core to maintain temps of 60c-70c.I try not go over 70c ever  Wink

90c is usually melt time so if you see one heading that high cut it off ASAP  Wink

GPUz is a good temp' monitor for all temps on GPUs,shows ram temps whereas most only show core temp.

Fans run at 100% are not a real bad thing, fans are easy to find & maybe to replace.
20  Economy / Exchanges / Re: BTC-e hacked ?? on: July 31, 2017, 05:43:08 AM
Never leave any more on an exchange than you are willing to lose...

Are you retarded?  How many times did you think somebody wrote it already? I read it now a 100th fucking time. People repeating it like a fucking parrot because they dont know anything.  It is called TRADING. How one supposed to trade? By sending coins forth and back and what happens if it goes down at the exact moment? And what if you need to stay in fiat because of weekend dumps? No, no, no, you say keep it off exchanges, elite pro trader.

Btce was the most reliable exchange. People trusted it because of that. I have a verified bitstamp account but I traded only really small amounts for arbitrage there. I never trusted bitstamp, too - thats another reason.

If you dont lose anything get the hell out of here and dont feed your life from our grief.

The truth hurts....you were greedy....sorry if it pisses you off.Hoping you get your coins/cash back  Wink
