1  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: Official Stakecoin Thread on: April 03, 2018, 02:28:12 AM
Idea:
There are currently 360 addresses holding Stakecoin.
The lowest address holding 0.00006967 STK

What if I make a list of these addresses.
Make a SHA256 hash of this list. And post both the list and the hash here and on github.

After that everyone checks the list and compares it to the richlist on the explorer. Then stores the list on his computer and flashdrives or even paper copy of the list.

If the list gets altered in any way, the sha256 hashes would not be the same as the one that other people stored.

Then make a new coin or token and give everyone their balances to the same address.
It should be done in a way that even if people don't look at this bitcointalk thread but they have balances then they remember about it 2 years from now they can still use their balances if they have access to their private key.
We also should try to get yobit to give people who bought stakecoins on yobit the new coin or token when its made.

I don't like this option.
Wallet is running okay and why create new coin?
The blockchain has value and lets go from there.
It's fine we don't have to do that, I don't own the stakecoin software so I can't do it by myself.
If you have better ideas feel free to post them.

Those are awesome ideas and a good plan.
I don't have as many Stakecoins as you but I will definitely give coins to people for tasks too. You can create alot of value for stakecoin when people perform tasks for coins.
I have a lot of innovative ideas. It is worth it to try to make stakecoin a useful coin.
Lets find what we want Stakecoin to be for. Organize and plan this. Then make the Website, Twitter, Reddit and Facebook page.

Yes we need to make the wallets and get stakecoin ready to be able to be used by people.
After that we can pay yobit to update their wallet so people can trade the coin.
Can I have help with making the wallets?

I asked help for the wallets.
How much do we need for yobit?

On their site they have something saying https://yobit.net/en/maintenance_request/ :
"Maintenance Request
To update a coin (SourceCode Update/Hardfork/Swap) with High Priority you can fill out the form below.
Payment method: YobiCode
Maintenance type:
• Free (8-14 business days) - 0 btc
• Premium (5-7 business days) - 0.2 btc
• Exclusive (2-4 business days) - 0.5 btc "

I don't know if these prices are up to date or not.

Perhaps I worded it wrong.
Can people who have stakecoin please message me with their ideas of how to make stakecoin great, their vision for the future of stakecoin, and how they are willing to help?
Together we can make the dreams come true.
Just posting my idea's here is good for interaction.
The eldest shareholders lose their interest and maybe also access to their wallet.
Some wallets are now 3 years offline and I think the STK can be considered as lost.
Look @ the richlist there is #2 with 160k 190 days offline.
I like to get in touch with the owner, I send by accident 30k to that wallet and want that back.
But biggest wallets are staking 24/7 and I know all the owners.
In the medium-size wallets are several very old wallets 2-3 years offline.

What we need is an update for the wallets and have also MacOS and RaspberryPI.
Then a new start post and website, Twitter, Reddit and Facebook page.
On the Facebook not mentioning we are a coin but there building community.

And what target group we want to serve?
Stakecoin is environmental low energy consuming blockchain but I support not application covered by EnergyCoin.
We need better distribution but people who join have to apply a task that is in scope with our target group.
Maybe we can focus on some social topics.
Prove that you do something good for others.

Please join the discussion and we find a good goal for StakeCoin.
I like the technology and want to share my wealth in StakeCoin with others if they want to work for a share.
Together we can create value.
I showed what I can for EnergyCoin and there we are just in the beginning of building energy applications based on www.EnergyExchange.eu

Have a great day,
Jan

I want to make a stakecoin team. Pm me if you want to join.
7  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: Official Stakecoin Thread on: February 01, 2018, 07:28:44 AM
There are ways to make Stakecoin a leading coin.
First Stakecoin should form a team of people who want Stakecoin to become a leading coin in the top 10 on coinmarketcap.
That Stakecoin team should work on the Stakecoin network infrastructure to be able to accommodate future network growth with an initial target of millions of users.
Currently the Stakecoin network is being run by a few people who see potential in a future for stakecoin. I want to give a big thank you to these people for the unconditional support they have provided the stakecoin network, where others saw no hope, they saw potential.

The stakecoin network gives an incentive to stakecoin holders to run nodes to support the network by rewarding people who actively stake their coins. The incentive is 0.5 coins per block.

Stakecoin does not have a wallet download link as the link that was in the first page has expired and my computer broke so I cannot upload it again currently.

To improve the Stakecoin network we need to make new wallets for Stakecoin.
Make an installer that sets up the Stakecoin wallet, bootstrap, and configuration file.(For people who want to stake their coins.)
Make an spv lite wallet that takes seconds to install and minutes to be ready to use. (For people who just want to send and receive coins but don't want to wait a long time to download the blockchain)

Stakecoin holders should sell a part of their coins to other people so stakecoin can gain users. We should get listed on an exchange so it could be easier for stakecoin holders to sell their coins to other people.

Stakecoin holders need to think of ways to give people a reason to use stakecoin instead of other coins.

Crypto4jan I wish you and the Energycoin team all the success in the world on your great project.
Energycoin has potential to become a really bigger coin in the future and I believe its crucial to keep its Energyparty platform for itself and not port it over to Stakecoin.

Thank you wimjaap
Old computer is broken, when I get a new computer I will download and compile it so I can see if there are any compiling errors before

Hi CINICOIN,

In 27 days the StakeCoin blockexplores need a renewal:
https://chainz.cryptoid.info/stk/#!crypto
Wallet is running fine
Plans for development?

edit: Network looks not healty!
Only 3 active stakers: https://chainz.cryptoid.info/stk/#!extraction
Sent about $170 to the blockexplorer today. It should be good for another 17 months.
11  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: Official Stakecoin Thread: New wallet avalable. Hard fork. on: January 25, 2016, 09:11:57 PM

Hey

Currently there are about 400,000 coins staking.
And about 1300 blocks found per day.
So a preferable input size would be about 300.

In the next wallet update i can add something like this
So the wallet would combine inputs that are less than 300 coins into an input that is not larger than 300 coins.
And the wallet would not split an input that is smaller than 600 coins. So the Minimum amount of input the wallet would split stakes into would be 300.
Does that sound good? Or would you prefer the numbers to be smaller?

Hey Cinni good to see you back active in this topic!

I think keep it a bit smaller like 100 becouse you need buffer and also good to set a maxblocks for wallet.
With 300 small participants are less likely to get a PoS-reward and we want to reward them for suporing the network.
Is it posible to make split size and combine inputs depending on size of the wallet?

I go send you a DM or email about the project with the other currencies.

Maybe the combine threshold should be at 150 STK?

Hi...does anyone have a cinnicoin wallet?  I have just discovered a cinni balance on crypsty that I had forgotten.  Any ideas that can help me with this?
How much was this balance?
I can donate some STK to you from my own coins. PM me your Stakecoin address.
13  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: Official Stakecoin Thread: New wallet avalable. Hard fork. on: January 23, 2016, 09:58:40 AM
Maybe......cinnicoin dev what he thinks about this?
No PM or reaction but try to stake most profitable for me and share my secrets.
I am #23 now on the rich list and climbing slow without buying extra STK.

In this list you see wallets much higer on the rich list but less profitable staking.
In oktober I had "only" 12K and now almost 17K with 24/7 wallet running.
Each day 1 or two times I remove the blocks < 40 STK and merge them into 1000 STK blocks.
The avarage block size in my wallet is about 60 STK

It would be nice to have
Code:
setstakesplitthreshold
and then I prefare a value for me on 25-40 STK.

For EnergyCoin I go also implement fixed PoS-reward and some other improvements.
@CinniCoin I like to discuss with you Co-creation of development. Al alraidy work together with SOIL, GMC, ERC and GEO.

I can help you, no problem.
Just send me a PM with the things you want help on and I'll reply when i see it.

Finding a block now rewards 0.5 STK.
16  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: Official Stakecoin Thread: New wallet avalable. Hard fork. on: November 11, 2015, 10:54:08 PM
Please update your stakecoin wallets to stakecoin v1.1
Changes are:
Pos reward is 0.5 STK per block after 11/15/2015 @ 12:00am (UTC).

Please update your wallet before 11/15/2015 @ 12:00am (UTC).

Windows wallet and source are available in the first post of this thread.(The ANN)

If you are updating before 11/15/2015 @ 12:00am (UTC), here are the steps to update:

1.) Download new wallet.

2.) Close old wallet.(you can also delete the old wallet after you close it so you don't click it by mistake later. make sure to have it closed before you delete it though)

3.) Run new wallet.
Please remember to update Stakecoin wallets to v1.1 before 11/15/2015 if you haven't already updated.

I now get connections to the CINNI network but am getting a failed checkpoint error when syncing. I have version 1.1 of the wallet.

If I don't fully sync the CINNI chain I have no idea what my balance is to send to Cryptsy.

How do I fix?
Hey
There was a coin swap a long time ago. People converted Cinni to Stakecoin (STK). After the coin swap ended the remaining Stakecoin were all sent to a burn address. So no one can spend those. Since they were burned no more coinswaps could be made after the coin swap date ended.
If you still have Cinni you can sell it on Cryptsy. The only way to send Cinni to Cryptsy is to ask Cryptsy support if they can give you their node ip to add to your conf file so you can sync to them to send Cinni to their exchange to sell.
after that you can buy Stakecoin from someone with that btc or you can use that btc for whatever you like.
18  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: Official Stakecoin Thread: New wallet avalable. Hard fork. on: October 27, 2015, 03:59:08 PM
Can I just copy my wallet dat into the wallet then? Or is there a coin swap process
No its just a hard fork. Just close old wallet, download new wallet, run new wallet. Thats all  Smiley

If you can't sync, use these nodes: http://pastebin.com/Wf26asF2
Later I'll connect the hardcoded dns seeds (nodea.stakecoin.co, nodeb.stakecoin.co, nodec.stakecoin.com) to some VPS so it can sync automatically just need to wait for my paycheck soon.

Reminder: Please update to stakecoin v1.1 before 11/15/2015 @ 12:00am UTC (Hard fork for static pos)

build date?
When I compile a Linux wallet with QT it shows the build date, but when compiling a Windows wallet using MXE it always doesn't show the build date for some reason.
