Today the Salt Lake City District Attorney ruled that the shooting death of 20-year-old Dillon Taylor was justified. Taylor was on his way to visit his mother’s grave, along with his cousin, Adam Thayne and his brother, Jerrail Taylor, just moments before a group of cops rolled into the parking lot on August 11, 2014. Both Taylor’s brother and cousin say he was wearing headphones. Police claim that they stopped the three young men because of a 911 call about someone waving a gun around. They also claim that Taylor matched the description given during that call. Taylor did not have a gun on him, and no gun was ever recovered from the area of the shooting. According to the St. Louis Tribune, the caller told 911 dispatch: “Some gangbangers” walking near 200 East and 1900 South had “flashed” a gun. “They’re obviously looking for trouble, just the way they look.” That caller is eerily similar to the caller that reported a black man, John Crawford, with a gun in Walmart. Crawford was purchasing an air rifle from the store. That 911 call led to his death; another shooting that was found “justified” by a system that seems to have lost all sense of right and wrong. In the video you can see police approaching the three young men in the parking lot of the convenience store where Taylor was shot. It’s clear from the video that both Thayne and Jerrail Taylor heard and saw the police, and responded accordingly. Although there is no sound in the beginning of the video, both men put their hands up, apparently following a police directive. Dillon Taylor continued walking at a normal pace, consistent with someone who did not realize that there was a cop behind him, pointing a gun at his back. Do any of you have Video systems that you can pull up on your iphone/android and check on your place when not home?
I have a buddy who's a retired engineer that would help me install the system. Would you get one if you had a little kid at home, wife, and had to travel 3-5 days of the week?
Video cams might be a deterrent plus if you can easily see it on your phone plenty of time to get up stairs to the shotty

I can't separate this discussion, animal abuse, from rampant police abuse, which is usually not prosecuted in open court or with only sham prosecution - most often paid vacation at a desk while Internal Investigation promises to look into it...and actually doesn't. Or a settled lawsuit, whereupon the 'problem citizen' is disposed of with our tax money. Or maybe eventually gets prosecuted with a 'firing'....to go to another PD somewhere and do it again.

.the two most successful things I have done when I lived in America are working and shagging.
Working: From 2001 on, I have not spent a single cent on any interview in America, and spent only minimum time job seeking. My average time spent looking for jobs is 10 minutes.
Shagging: I rely mainly on old bikes from bars and clubs for my rides. From 2002 on, I have been shagging around bars and clubs, and did not spend more than 30 dollars total on hookers or drinks for floozies. The total amount of money spent on condoms is no more than 100 dollars. The wear and tear on my cock is also kept to a minimum with correct lubrication: I wore out 5 girlfriends, lost 5 partners to other men, forced to finish with 5 old floozies because of droopy tits and lack of moist pussy. Today I shag 6 old bikes around local bars and clubs.
Old women are very suitable for shagging time of 10 minutes or less, and the foreplay is no more than 5 minutes. If I need to shag for longer, I will try tantric and yoga style manoeuvres. But I haven't used these due to the difficulty and bending into various contortions.
The least successful two things of my life so far are eating and bicycles. I could not control these 2 things because I am so busy shagging. If I am in bars all night with floozies, I cannot help it. I think my inability to cycle is related to my failure in eating. Many bike rides require good eating, so even if drink like a lord and eat as many cheap bar snacks as possible, usually when I try to ride a bicycle, I don't have the legs as I spend most of my time horizontal, either drunk on the sidewalk or shagging loose hoochies.

You are not alone. Last month I had a charge on my credit card that was not mine. It is a credit card that I do not use often, only for medical bills mostly so I know the theft occurred at the doctor's office or the billing center. None one else had access to the number. I promptly canceled the card and got a new number. I would recommend that you check your credit card activity daily.

Forgetting about IT hardware (say setting up a wireless infrastructure for a school campus or a small town or city), the field to get into is Security. You've heard of the Target, Michaels, Home Depot break-ins, right?. Cell phones will soon be used to make payments. The crackers are salivating at the prospect of stealing everyone's money.
If you want to break into IT then take some courses at your local Community College or on-line. If you want to become rich quick by writing the next "Angry Birds" app then take up programming. And if you want to engage in Global IT Warfare then you'll probably need to join the armed forces.
I.T. is a diverse field, what are you interested in getting into?

It's a very alarming thing that an ostensible political leader should say this, and that thousands of people should cheer the sentiment.
There was quite a lot of passion for a strike on Afghanistan post-9/11 -- and quite a few dissenters. The Peace At Any Cost coalition.
Those in favor of beating the shit out of Al Qaeda formed an overwhelming consensus on that particular point.
Did any political leaders speak about locking up dissenters in prison?
I don't think they did. But I'd like a correction if my memory is faulty.
And meanwhile the masks keep a-tumbling off.
Oh and here are some "Greens" who argued that they left huge amounts of litter after their rally in order to provide recyclables for the homeless.
On a more substantive note, a scientist named Steven Koonin wrote in the WSJ this weekend that the "science" of global warming was almost entirely unsettled.
