Unfortunately it looks like we've been de-listed from Europex and coin-swap.net but we are still on allcrypt.com We also had a lot of pools that look like they have shut down EBG mining and I have removed them from the original post. I still believe this coin could be valuable and used and stand by the code as is. If there is anyone out there that would like to help take over any marketing and getting the coin in use I can give EBG bounties for any work you want to do.

Yes no scam but no volume also I wish this could be bigger Yeah, I'm hoping with all the scams lately people will try to find more stable coins with honest devs to invest in.

I find it funny, Embargocoin is one of the few non scam legitimate coins out there with a dev that isn't trying to scam anyone, but because I'm no internet Hype machine we get no notice. Embargocoin is still active and the pools are still running and the network is still running. I am not abandoning this coin and hopefully our time in the spotlight will come. I've been extremely busy with other projects of late and unfortunately haven't been able to devote as much time to the coin as I would like so if anyone in the community would like to help out I would love some additional help. But I still stand by the coin and believe we are undervalued at this point.

I have definitely not given up, I am still working on promoting it and still tweeting. Currently I don't have any updates as I have been busy with other things and I would love any help anyone would be willing to give to help get us off the ground a little more. I really do think we have good potential here with the coin for long term success.

Thanks Dev for the updated wallet. Can confirm it functions perfectly in Win XP 32bit & Win 7 64bit Glad to hear it's working well for you. I also think the blockchain is functioning pretty well, we don't have huge hashrate, but we are moving along steadily. I know the price is still low and we definitely have the potential to be higher, but I still believe the price will follow.

It looks in the rite place, blocks folder, chainstate folder, database folder, .lock, peers, db, debug all in application data. Dont see no .conf !
Shouldn't need a .conf. I'll see if I can find an xp image and fire it up for testing. Just want you to know I haven't forgotten about this, we have done some testing on XP and can confirm the problem with it, working on finding a fix for it, the compile environment we used was Windows 7, so it's possible it isn't linking right to the XP DLL files, working on getting another build together to test, probably at least a week out on that. Not sure exactly what was going on, but I built the wallet on a new VM with QT 5.2.1 and it appears to work in XP now, I have updated the wallet download links and the new wallet should work for all Windows versions now.

Need some help spreading the word on Embargocoin, we have reached the 500 EBG per block production and will only go down from here. Block rewards halve approximately every 90 days from here on out. I think we have potential that is being untapped at this point.

definitely haven't tested myself on xp as I don't have an xp image anymore. did the wallet file create in the right place with the blocks folder? Or is that folder even created?

Thinking of implementing PoS after the mining halves completely at .3% per year. Any thoughts or opinions on this?

Less than 100 blocks to go until sanctions are reduced on our little coin again and we go up to 300 EBG per block, we are getting close to the 500 EBG blocks!

@dev Please look at europex.eu : ''Info! We do not find any working nodes for this coin. It may be unlisted soon. If you have a working wallet, you can help us if you send you result of getpeerinfo of your wallet. Thank you.''
Thank you for pointing this out, we did a server migration and moved the node to a new server earlier this week but waited for all DNS to update before turning the old server off, but it's possible the node was hardcoded over there, but I was pretty sure I checked that it said it was still connected after I turned off the old server. I have contacted Europex with the new node IP and a list of other IP's that are currently peering so that hopefully we can get this issue resolved.

Would anyone like to see a dice or wheel game for Embargocoin? We may be able to get that setup but would like to gauge interest first.

Sanctions have been lifted slightly again and we are up to 200 EBG per block for 251 blocks until sanctions loosen up a little more.
