3  Local / Others (Pilipinas) / Re: Maari ba tayo gumawa ng Airdrop list on: April 04, 2024, 07:13:25 AM

7  Other / Beginners & Help / Ego and too much confidence are dangerous in investing. on: February 13, 2023, 12:56:07 PM
2021 I started my journey here in crypto, I was lucky because I was able to invest in other cryptos before it went all the way up. NFTs, P2E games, airdrops and hyped shitcoins lol. Of course I earned a lot and since it's my first time I became very confident thinking I'm so smart lol Grin. I have more money to spare, so I end up investing left and right carelessly thinking i will earn more but the truth is majority of those i have invested are lost money because of bear market, scam projects and rugpulled shitcoins. I think I am not for crypto Sad.
8  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: What is Trust wallet and is it safe? on: November 18, 2022, 11:56:22 AM
Trust wallet is not open source.

Here is their blog post announcing they are becoming closed source about 4.5 years ago: https://trustwallet.medium.com/why-open-sourcing-android-app-could-be-a-harm-to-the-crypto-community-fb3ae1707dc6

Here are the links to their Github repositories which show they are both archived and have had no updates in 4 years:
https://github.com/trustwallet/trust-wallet-android-source
https://github.com/trustwallet/trust-wallet-ios

They outright lie on their website when they claim to be open source. If being closed source isn't enough to convince you to stay away, then them outright lying to you should be. They are also owned and operated by Binance, so you can guarantee you will have absolutely zero privacy when using Trust wallet.

Avoid it.

Thanks for this, majority of my altcoin holdings are stored in trustwallet. If trustwallet is a closed source wallet, what are other good open source wallets that can hold altcoins and that are trustworthy and secure?
9  Local / Pilipinas / Re: Ano ang plano niyo ngayong bear market? on: July 08, 2022, 12:24:33 AM

10  Local / Others (Pilipinas) / Re: Sino ang presidente mo, at bakit? on: May 06, 2022, 01:01:47 PM
May nagpupustahan na ba sa inyo? May nakita ako kanina at may handicap pa (BBM -1.5M) Grin

11  Local / Pilipinas / Re: Bitcoin, papalo ba sa $100k ?? on: April 27, 2022, 11:28:47 AM

12  Economy / Trading Discussion / Is this also your strategy to avoid hitting your stop loss early? on: April 12, 2022, 11:57:19 PM
I know that lower margin and low leverage are also farther away from the liquidation price, so is it okay to set low margin and low leverage first to avoid losing if your strategy doesn't work, and then add if does the price follow your strategy? Is this also your strategy?
13  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: Do you share your key to your family? on: April 11, 2022, 12:25:06 AM
My family knows where to find my recovery phrases and other pieces of information to recover all my coins, but they don't have a copy of anything in their hands. There is no reason for them to have copies of the seeds for cold storage. They know what they have to do and where to look for the essentials for recovery if one day I don't come back home. That's it. My family isn't interested in Bitcoin, only I am. I am sure they will gladly convert in into fiat one day when I am gone.

Thank Y'all for sharing your different ways and opinion. Truly we have different family background and different culture that's why we couldn't agree some of other's opinion. But  As a young man and unmarried person, I think this reply is the best way that I can follow as I have no sons or daughters yet lol.
I will only share copies of my keys to my children someday and it's up to them how they will handle their money.
14  Other / Beginners & Help / Don't be too greed for more gains.... on: March 30, 2022, 10:00:30 AM
I want to share my experience as a newbie in crypto....I started my crypto journey in 2021, and that year is very bullish as a starter which I could gain almost $6,000 or more if only I wasn't to greed for believing it will go more higher... those  gains are almost from NFTs (games and airdropped), I didn't take profit even it reached ATH until it fall to the hell lol Grin and some are turning to rugged tokens Sad. Im too late to asked for advice here in forum ( https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=5388154.0 ) and now its too late that I took my profit which is less than half lol.... my advice to newbies in crypto here is always take profit don't regret if it goes up, don't be too greed. stay connected here in forum for advices. Smiley

16  Other / Beginners & Help / Did you share your key to your family? on: March 24, 2022, 12:38:36 PM
We can't escape death and we don't know when we die... Crypto wallets aren't like traditional investments. They can be more vulnerable to security issues, and you generally can't name a beneficiary. Since we need to store our crypto to offline wallet or hardware wallet and we must store safely and secure our keys offline, did you already share your key to your family? Do you have any tips to make a good plan to your crypto assets for loved ones just in case when you die?
17  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: How secure are my funds Trust wallet? on: March 23, 2022, 06:16:20 PM
You can import your seedphrase to Metamask https://metamask.io/download.html then transfer your funds to electrum or much better in hardware wallets as it is recommended to me who I also using trustwallet, i'll transfer my holdings soon to hardware wallet.

Even if trust wallet doesn't work anymore, you can easily import your wallet into any other app.

Yes I tried import my trustwallet to metamask and it worked.
20  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: Is my wallet still safe??? on: March 17, 2022, 05:17:58 AM
Thanks for your replies, no need to worry now to my wallet address. If not for what I've learned here in forum about scammer awareness and wallet security maybe I send my seedphrase to scammer without thinking i'll get scam.. Thank God I already knew scammer's trick before it happen.
