1  Economy / Service Announcements / Re: Overclock your G-Blades for as low as $75/MH WITHOUT LOSING MINING TIME on: July 15, 2014, 12:51:26 AM
The mobile version to our site is now up and running.
2  Economy / Service Announcements / Overclock your G-Blades for as low as $75/MH WITHOUT LOSING MINING TIME on: July 13, 2014, 09:32:06 PM
Litecoin is here to stay.

Take advantage of the rising price of Litecoin and increase your ROI to breakeven and profit sooner! mine more coins for little added cost!
The kicker - we also offer a price match guarantee!

Want to get your existing blades overclocked? Now you can do it without losing any mining time. Send us your blades for overclocking along with your tracking number and we'll run the same number of blades for you from the time you ship them until you receive the overclocked blades back at your door! Free return shipping (worldwide) when you overclock 4 or more units, service available here.

Want to buy new, overclocked G-Blades?  This could be our last chance to get and sell these blades at these prices, check out our single G-Blade, 4-pack (lowest price per megahash), or 4-pack with everything you need included (power, cables, etc).

We accept Bitcoin, Litecoin, Dogecoin, Credit Card, ACH, and Wire

will this mod work with hashra controla?
The mod will work for any mining software, you just need to change the chip frequency.

Nervous to attempt, but an extra 100 khsh across 20 miners translates to an extra 2Mhsh. Anyone want to share any best practices aside from OP?

I did the 49.9k mod on all 14 of my gridseeds and I'm glad I did. I'm running CPUminer and all of my chips are stable at 1200mhz and up. The pool and CPUminer and both reporting very close to each other so I'm happy!!

Thanks for the follow up; can you list the tools/hardware you used and your new hash rate? Also if possible, anyone know the page in thus thread where I find the 49.9k mod offhand?

There's a nice guide on how to do the 49.9k mod here.

Hey all,
I posted a video of doing the actual VMOD3 mod on youtube: http://youtu.be/O146gM52ea8
If I can do it with my poor soldering skills... you can too.
Check it out, it might help those of you contemplating doing the mod to see what is involved.

I used 49.9K resistors because that was all I could readily find. These things got WAY hotter than before, and went from pulling 8.5 watts to upwards of 29 watts after the mod mining 510khash.
I'm thinking I might bump it down to the 47K resistor, 29 watts that theses puppies pull seems excessive for not too much extra return. I'd take 480khash @ 20 watts. (has anyone posted the power consumption on the 47K resistor mod?

Thanks everyone and take a look.

Under the Vmod 3 section of his guide Jesse writes it.

Hey Guys Cheesy

I just updated my guide. It now includes:
- ZiG's rVMOD3 (Reversible VMOD3) in simple language and beautiful high resolution pictures.
- G-Blade VMOD1 Information & Pictures

Check it out, let me know what you think Smiley

What about the 2 or more pods that were ruined by trying to do 'Zigs' mod?
Have they been addressed and handled or not?
I am afraid of it happening to others who apply it.
And some others have already passed on it to in favor of the R52 aka 'the great R139 discovery' axial or SMD 49.9k   Grin
I may try it while modding this next batch coming in.
I have serious reservations that something has been overlooked and may be causing damage to crystal oscillators.
2 so far that I've come across said their miner started 'clicking' which is really weird but totally possible ergo the above.
The only parts that could even possibly click would be the crystal 'most probable' - or L1 the inductor. If somehow and it's highly doubtful some of its windings are lose, the click could perhaps 'longshot' come from there.
Only other possibility is the sound of pulsed Arcing hence clicking but I don't see how that's even possible. There ain't no HV running in there anywhere. And oh, possibly a capacitor that has blown internally, that might click too. Nothing else on the card can or will, unless it releases its magic black smoke Wink
I'll be reporting my results IF I even decide to try it.
Updates comin!
BAMM! BAMM!

fyi Jesse's guide already explains how to do the mod the way you're suggesting... now it's up to the people of the community to decide what mod works best for them.

Great guide, thanks for the updates!

Keep up the great work Smiley
