Wonder how many of these high pow blocks are going to gpu miners. Seems like the pool isn't getting much right now.

All better now, almost shat myself. Should have gotten out of this coin a long time ago but said screw it lets go for broke, lol. Might not be worth crap but would rather not lose it all.

Where did all the network weight go? Seems like all of a sudden the network weight has disappeared not seeing anything moving on bittrex. Seems like someone finally stuck the fork in this one for good. Block count is off wallet says 144673 pool is at 144986. I'm getting a pos block about every minute. Maybe not my other wallet synced no problem now just gotta see if my main wallet resyncs.

Has anyone tested either of these wallets out or plan to? Let us know your experience if you do, I'm sure I'm not the only one curious.
Am sure The Axiom community will work together with Axiom leadership to make this come true. It will be a great revolution for the cryptocommunity as a whole to!! I downloaded it on to a VC earlier but ran out of time before work, I'll have a play with it later on Cool can't wait to see what you find. I was thinking of tossing it onto another desktop but don't have anywhere near enough axiom in my wallet never mind trying to test how the staking is on those.

AXIOM Update August 13
There has been a lack of communication from our lead technology and algorithm developer. We share the same frustrations as the community, and expected work to be completed at a quicker pace.
Before cutting off contact two weeks ago, the lead dev played around with various exploits and succeeded in fixing some and shared some of his findings with us. The AXIOM team was given compiled optimized wallets to test around the time we made the POS 3.0 announcements. We never received the source code to these optimized wallets.
For this reason, we have decided to release two of the optimized miners that were compiled by the lead developer. We hope to work with the incredibly motivated AXIOM community to continue building the project and harden the Proof of Stake protocol against such “optimizations” as these. We suspect the developer does not want to fix POS insecurities, and we invite the community to join us in our efforts to secure POS exploits in the #axiomcrypto channel on the Freenode IRC network.
The first manipulates a POS variable and a weight check in wallet.cpp to cause coins to split and stake more often than a normal wallet.
https://bitbucket.org/AxiomCryptocurrency/axiom/downloads/axiom-qt-optimized-staking.zip
The second was delivered to us with much less of an explanation. It contains the above edits and also skips a CPU intensive “check” phase in POS. We aren’t sure exactly what this wallet is doing, but it seems to stake more often.
https://bitbucket.org/AxiomCryptocurrency/axiom/downloads/axiom-qt-staketest-optimized-staking-test2.zip
We are NOT certain what these wallets will do the network. We expect the POS difficulty to raise. If there are any network or blockchain problems we are equipped to hardfork and resolve any issues. Whatever happens, it will be interesting.
We are looking for more community involvement to aid us in reaching our development goals. This isn’t the end of the line, and with the help of the community, we can finish the project and revolutionize the Proof of Stake system by patching all possible exploits. The next high POW/POS period begins in 6 weeks and we ask the GPU mining crowd to also share their code with the rest of the AXIOM community and keep our coin strong.
More news soon. Has anyone tested either of these wallets out or plan to? Let us know your experience if you do, I'm sure I'm not the only one curious.

People just take this all to serious. I consider every new coin a scam or junk, call it what you will. The coins that will make it already exist, now it is just a matter of finding their place in the world. I could be wrong, I hope I am, but I doubt it. Still it will not stop me from having fun with crypto's, learning new things, making a little and losing a little. Anyone in this thinking they are going to get rich or make even a decent amount of money are going to find themselves disappointed far more often than not. Don't put to much into 1 coin, play the market and you can make a little. If you like a coin, believe in a coin for whatever reason go for it. Don't fool yourself into thinking it will be the next big thing though, bitcoin was the big thing. There might be a couple of other coins that find a place along side bitcoin but the chances of that being any of these overnight coins are slim to none. When I see a coin come out that has it's roadmap whitepaper miner wallet, everything introduced before the mining begins then maybe I will put a little more trust into it, but I don't see that happening any time soon. So for now I will enjoy what there is, fud or no fud.

I could be wrong but the pos blocks should have your wallet address, mined pow coins will have a random address. I have mined 2 blocks using the wallet both had a random address and both for 5 coins when I checked on the block explorer they both show as new coins. I got another mined tonight but this time for 5.00004 with my address so I checked block explorer again and this one was pos.
Those 2 mined blocks were in the last 24 hours using an i5 3470, maybe not likely to happen but it does.
Yes, each POW block is paid to a new address. POS blocks are paid to the same address as the input. So, if the address that comes with the block paid to the wallet, is yours, it is a POS block; if it isn't, is it a POW block? Then, besides the POW blocks NiceHash pays you (a pittance, but actually pays you) in BTC something extra? So fucking confused... In any case, I receive payments with two addresses only -so no randomness here-: Mine and another one, but all the blocks with one or the other, no other addresses whatsoever. what's the payout with Nicehash? .0064 BTC/kH/day Not really worth it unless you have tons of cpu power to throw at it and only want BTC. Only reason I am mining with my cpu is the fact that the Axiom team made it so easy to solo mine, it's more for fun and seeing how lucky I can get. 2 years mining and Axiom are my first 2 blocks solo mined, could never figure out how to set things up to mine solo. I've been renting hash from NiceHash to mine most of my Axiom.

So I tried it out, payouts are great but still I don't like the performance of the miner. To slow to hot and to many hw errors. Why is there always hw errors and why so hot? Doesn't matter how low I set intensity the temps are still to hot and to many hw. Been mining now for almost 2 years and I have never had any trouble like this. The stats and estimate of payment is nice to have on the miner it is not necessary to me, why not allow the use of sgminer. Much better performance speed and efficiency.
In case you are not aware, you can add the --power-tune option in the conf file. By setting a negative value, you can force the card to run at a lower voltage, so it won't run as hot. The down side is, you won't come anywhere near hitting the 100% rating. When I did it, and brought my card down to about 63C, I was only rating in barely above 50% on my r9 290. This is using --power-tune -38. With my normal setup, that gets me a stable >6 Mh/s (with x11), and no HW....24 hours a day. It actually is a quite large power difference too. Running hot, my 290 will draw a steady 200W. Running the way I normally do, it stays around 113W. May not seem like much, but multiply that 87W difference over 24 hours....and you have burned an extra 2.088kW. Assuming $0.10/kW, I would be losing $0.21 right off the top. So -0.000714 BTC from whatever I could mine. Basically, I know my card is capable of running well above the 100% rating, but something is not set right with the dashminer software. Honestly, as hot as it ran during my testing, and knowing what I get with my normal setup, I should have been pushing a 200% rating. A thought has occurred to me, though, which I have been considering for a couple days. If the dashminer software actually is getting the speed it claims, maybe the miners aren't actually getting full credit for their hash rate. Using my setup as a reference example, pushing it as hard as the software did, theoretically, I should have been ticking in right around 9 Mh/s. The software said I was hitting ~92%. The baseline reference for x11 was 4.84Mh/s. Double that would be 9.68Mh/s. Based on this info, my card was running at approximately 93% of that. That puts a situation where everyone is mining, and only getting partial credit for their hashes. Granted, it is a reasonable business model, and it would also explain why the payout is so good. When you are getting half of what everyone mines....you can afford to be generous in the payouts. I am just not keen on the secrecy. If that is what the business model is, I would rather know up front. Yeah, there would be people who are all ticked off cause they aren't getting full credit. But, if the payout is better, then it doesn't matter quite so much. My only real issue is, I know what I am getting with my normal setup. I will not run my rig that hot. It is more expensive because of the power consumption and inefficiency (due to heat). Plus, it is VERY bad for the equipment. Personally, I would rather have the option of having to setup a multi-address pool (similar to the way NiceHash does it), and use my own setup. For people that don't want to deal with the technical stuff, they can use the plug-n-play software. Anyway, that is my two cents. I completely agree with you and feel the same way on all points. Mining through whatever multipool I choose with sgminer 5.1 and wolf0's bin I get 3.7Mhs on each 270 and stay between 65-68*. That tells me I should be getting somewhere around 78% per 270 if 4.84 is 100%. But I was told I was wrong on the math to not look at hash speed even though the website states; "Our base payout is set to be 0.25 DASH per day plus bonus (bonus depends on luck and coin prices) for AMD R9 290 (our reference card with its speed taken as 100% value). Same hardware achieves 4.84MHs in popular X11-mod miner, so we are using this value for per mhs payout pricing.". Maybe with future updates things will get better, but there seems to be a lack of transparency that makes me uncomfortable.

I'm also running much slower and hotter, but the payout is looking like it will be better than other pools. Still I don't like giving up speed and running hotter. Right now I am just testing things out using the 2 cards that have always been my most stable and have always run the best using the same settings. My 270 is ok a bit warmer but very few HW errors, my 270x though is much hotter and for some reason slower than the 270 when it has always been just slightly faster. In 4 hours and 45 mins I have 28 hw errors compare that to 10 hours on the 270 with only 7. I have dropped intensity well below my norm and tried quite a few different intensity levels but the hw errors still seem to pile on pretty quickly, whether it is overclocked or not. I like the miners stats but wonder why we cant tune the cards as much in the .conf like you could on sgminer, ie. worksize and thread concurrency. I'm sure your already hard at work on the next update to the miner 1.1 did help a little. Would be nice to get close to the performance and temps i had been running on sgminer, I'll keep going with these 2 cards as things improve I'd like to point everything I have at dashminer. Anyone running a xfx 270x black getting better than 40-43% and cooler than 77*, would help a lot to know your settings.
|
|
|
I am interested in mining with dashminer, but it seems much slower and cards much hotter. My average x11 hashrate on any other pool using sgminer and wolf0's bin is 3.7 per r9 270 and temps never hit 70. With dashminer it shows 45% for speed, my math might be off but it seems I should be up around 78% if 4.84 is 100%. Am I missing something or am I really giving up that much speed using dashminer?

I can't get the wallet to open anymore. Bithalo starts but that is it. Anyone else having trouble? I'm using the windows smart wallet. Worked fine for quite a while then the icon was broken for a week but still worked no problem just no icon image, now it just does not start at all. This coin has been a great badluck charm for me, I have had nothing but trouble since touching bitbay. Not the coins fault at all, just seems like I picked up a penny that wasn't heads up. Couldn't log into exchanges for 2 weeks, computer has run like crap, monitor shit the bed, and that is just the computer side of it. Nevermind the non stop onslaught of shit that has been flying my way with life. Hopefully that all just means for once a coin will actually pay off for me. Has anyone had any trouble starting the wallet? I uninstalled and reinstalled, tried running in different compatibility modes, as administrator. I am on windows 7 and just downloaded the wallet from thebitbay.org. Anyone have any suggestions?
Figured it out. Sorry to interrupt the turd the slinging contest you may now continue.

@ Bitbay Team
When are we going to have a (Bay) forum to build a constructive community? The creatures that are lerking and hanging on every word getting involved is not a good look.. IMO this place is not going to attract many new investors just haters, and as an investor it annoys me a little that this is not already done! all the time spent deleting posts etc
Could have been spent sorting this out..
You never replied to my inbox so here is something else that's on my mind, maybe others also>> who knows......
I have yet to see a set date for forum hence my reason for asking..
Mick.
Personally, I would want them to hold that for now. Btctalk forum gets lot of traffic and that means more investors. Creating new forum can help once everything is set up and ready. Once they create new forum all the current investors will move there and this thread will turn into 100% fudfest which means new investors would become less attractive to it. I hate going through Fud myself but BitBay gets more visibility here than it will get anywhere else. Just did thanks, seems to be syncing up pretty quickly.

I just downloaded the windows wallet yesterday and still not synced only have 1 connection. Has anyone else had any trouble? Would really like to get my coins off the exchange before I get impatient and sell them. All synced now, lol. Still only 1 connection is that normal?

I was just wondering if anyone is running the asus 750 ti oc. What kind of overclocks are you getting and hashrate? Right now I am at +130 core +100 mem, voltage is steady at 1.181 at the most I'm seeing 61% tdp running at 54 degress and getting around 2025 kh on x13. Any more in it?
|
|
|
Just picked up a 750 ti, first time mining with an nvidia card. Mining x13 getting around 1950 khs. Just wondering what normal is for the 750 ti.
IIRC that's a perfectly normal hashrate on a 750 Ti for X13. Thanks for the response, just wanted to make sure everything was working right. New to ccminer, a lot less tweaking done it seems. I managed to get it up to 2025 khs with a lil oc, then realized I was locked in pcie 2.0 in bios changed that to 3.0 was worth another 25kh. Now if I could only sell my 270's I could run a full rig of 750 ti's. You can sell them easily i guess ![Grin](https://bitcointalk.org/Smileys/default/grin.gif) I wish been trying to get rid of them. Seems a lot of people around me are, 270's sitting at $100 a piece, 280's at $175. I've been watching those 280's on craigslist for some time now, they get much cheaper and I might snag 2 for gaming. Nothing is moving around here everyone thinks once you mine with them that they are trash.
