1  Economy / Exchanges / Re: Exchanges that don't require verification to trade cryptocoins and fiat on: September 05, 2014, 04:29:31 PM
So Huobi's new Bitvc doesn't require any verification to trade in cryptos, but they don't offer fiat withdrawals yet, correct?
2  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN][RSU]█ ReserveShare █ NXT AE | FAIR distribution | First POR| UNIQUE Source on: September 05, 2014, 02:52:37 PM
I read through the whitepaper and it is very well put together. One thing I think people would like to see eventually are more technical details, such as what languages/platforms ReserveShare will be coded on.

Add a specifications table to the existing whitepaper and everything will be ready to launch an advertising crusade  Grin
3  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Cryptsy = Fail. Cryptsy ran off with my bitcoins. on: September 05, 2014, 02:48:17 PM
First part of the post title pretty much sums it up. Cryptsy = Fail. Case closed.
4  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN][RSU]█ ReserveShare █ NXT AE | FAIR distribution | First POR| UNIQUE Source on: September 05, 2014, 10:13:21 AM
Just caught up with the thread. I think ReserveShare is off to a good start, the devs are very professional and there were over 500 stakeholders and now that price is low, many others can get in on it.

Once the wallet is out and POR is shown working I think lots of people will jump on ReserveShare!
5  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: ⟳ [CAPT] CAPTcoin - The best distributed PoS - Merchant Tools available on: August 31, 2014, 02:49:09 PM
I will start "captchaing" some of these babies today  Cheesy
6  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Darkcoin price fell 20% in one week, thoughts? on: August 31, 2014, 02:12:59 PM
Weekend, end of the month, end of summer. Not surprising that the price is down on a lot of things... just wait another couple of months and then we will see which coins are ready to take off.
7  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN][RSU]█ ReserveShare █ FREE and FAIR distribution | First POR| UNIQUE Source on: August 31, 2014, 02:03:02 PM
Proudly displaying my ReserveShare signature! I think we can make this coin a big success!
8  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: World Dollar market cap ($35 bn) soars way beyond Bitcoin on: August 31, 2014, 01:58:49 PM
I was intrigued by this at first but now it appears to be just a ripple-issued asset?
9  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Why today's cryptocurrencies are doomed on: August 23, 2014, 12:37:07 AM
Many alts will just die off but something can easily come along that receives widespread adoption, maybe even more than Bitcoin.

I read one article where some guy predicted some sort of corporate run crypto could come along (like from a gas company, cellular company) that would allow people to pay for that service using the coin. Personally I don't see that taking off as distrust in corporations is growing. If a crypto comes along that surpasses Bitcoin, it will definitely be decentralized.
10  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: 4/5 of BiTshares volume from China on: August 23, 2014, 12:31:20 AM
I have to say that number is higher than I expected. 50, 60% sure but 80% is almost all of it.

A lot of NXT goes to the Chinese as well. What can you say, other than that they love to speculate on new cryptocurrencies  Smiley
11  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN][BURST] Burst | Efficient POC Mining | Update to 1.0.2 before block 2700 on: August 18, 2014, 11:20:13 AM
So I understand that Burst is mineable solely with hard drive space. So is it better to get a very large traditional 7200 RPM drive or is it better to get an SSD? Does using an external drive (USB 2.0 or Firewire) affect performance? Can the drive be hooked up to a low performance laptop?
12  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN] NeosCoin [NEOS] - with Arbitrush, Multi-Algo, In-wallet trading & More on: August 18, 2014, 11:16:23 AM
I had to read the thread just to find out what "Arbitrush" was  Cheesy
13  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN] Crypti | XCR | Launch August | 100% POS | New Source | Trading has begun! on: August 18, 2014, 11:12:26 AM
Crypti is definitely one of the most promising new coins out there right now! I'll be holding mine for a while  Smiley
14  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: [NFO] Ethereum = Scam on: August 18, 2014, 11:09:58 AM
I wouldn't call Etherium a scam but it is certainly a poor investment at this point. If you want to get into Etherium, just wait until it launches and people are mining it - I guaranteed the price will go below the IPO price eventually (just like Maidsafe did).

Also, another huge red flag is the way the Etherium people worded their IPO. I'm not sure if everyone realizes that they don't have to deliver anything at all. At this point, they could take the funds, stop working on the project and retire and there isn't a single thing anyone can do about it!
15  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Viacoin vs. Syscoin vs. Crypti on: August 18, 2014, 11:03:17 AM
Crypti is the best investment choice out of these three at this point. Price is still very low (aided by the BTER hack). Once the system goes live and the devs unveil some of the projects they have in the works, price will be going up many times from today's levels.
16  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Darkcoin is officially dead on: August 18, 2014, 11:00:43 AM
This is not surprising all as the price was all built on hype, fads and gimmicks. Do I really need to sell my BTC and buy DRK in order to make an anonymous transaction? LOL
17  Economy / Economics / Re: Someone is buying ... a lot more than in May on: August 18, 2014, 10:56:26 AM
Don't forget it is August so a lot of people around the world are on vacation. Like the Wall St saying goes, "Sell in May and go away".

Wait until fall.... by the end of the year the Bitcoin price is going to be much higher!
18  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: The Media's Death-Grasp On Bitcoin Price on: August 18, 2014, 10:51:34 AM
I fully expect the Bitcoin FUD spewing out of the mainstream media to increase over the coming months. Fortunately I still see the Bitcoin price rising drastically from here but it will definitely be a bumpy ride!
19  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: BitcoinDark to make Bitcoin anonymous on: August 18, 2014, 10:47:02 AM
BitcoinDark is just another altcoin. There is no need to sell BTC to buy one of these so called anonymous altcoins if you are seeking privacy as there are plenty of ways of anonymizing your Bitcoin transactions (use a new address every time, use shared coin when you send, use exchanges, use the upcoming darkwallet).

I don't see any of these "anonymous" coins surpassing Bitcoin any time soon.
20  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: How many bitcoin address you have ? on: August 18, 2014, 10:41:45 AM
Technically you should be using a new Bitcoin address for every single transaction you make!
