A nostalgia visit, once had the 12th largest hash rate with S2's  a few years back, sold everything and moved on... but i miss it... dam!
so my question is what does the average mining rig look like now? which is the best miner? what is the average hash rate? etc

I know this was the best pool by far!
good job. ( best hancock voice )

You should inform yourself first on what laws the particular exchange has to abide to.

This stuff has been in place in EU since I can remember, I assume it got a bit stricter in latter years, but nothing new...

I need a place to start, any suggestions please? Legal assistance is the next step.

and still it continues to many....

I think the worst is how they do not value their customers or the bitcoin community.

Thanks for the support guys, i'll keep you all updated.

I find the whole situation unfathomable and insulting that i can't say no and have my money returned. It is a mystery  to me, not to mention fraudulent. Now  it feels like i'm being made to wait because i made a complaint?! Like you said 'once i'm verified i should stay verified'. I have again requested clarity on what they are actually doing right now instead of  just returning my deposit, my balance and then just closing the account.

I sincerley hope we can collect some other documented incidents  and reach out to the larger bitcoin community. This is just unacceptable.

A good idea to contact their bank, unfortunately i have spoken to mine first. But have just drafted an email to GORENJSKA BANKA D.D., KRANJ anybody based in slovenia (bank ) or luxemberg  ( bitstamp office )Huh

I would love to know who 'verified' them.

Cheers all

Major warning to all about Bitstamp. net

I'm a customer on the exchange for three years and recently tried to catch the $700 price rise with my savings, to my initial surprise and frustration  it was held in the "getting to know your client" phase, checked the Terms, nothing. WTF?

Answer 10 specific questions.. OK..not good enough.. id (too old) ... no more id .... now bank .... more proof ... savings.... tax returns ...

Never once was the process clarified or clear at the start and the option to opt out in line with the Data protection act? forget it! I protested at each step never once was my concerns addressed or that option given.

I had repeatedly just asked to move on, return money and close as i did not agree with the process. Never once was it offered and my money, ALOT of money is currently being held away from my account.

... and then once i made a complaint and seeked assistance or clarification the support system stopped and now i'm awaiting the return of my money which they are holding against my wishes... via the complaints department.

all my savings... dam.. i'm one stressed man.

Am i alone with this?

8  Bitcoin / Mining support / Re: Antminer S2 Support and Overclocking Thread on: July 16, 2014, 07:29:15 PM
Great job! thanks. Scored a very cheap ocz 1250w and the money saved went on a  fan upgrade - 4x  140mm Akasa  Viper Fans (S-FLOW)
Bloody hell! what a difference in noise level and air moved... remember the jet fighter you hear when the ant miner powers on? well thats flown..
would really recommend a fan upgrade as part of the overclocking Grin
9  Bitcoin / Hardware / Re: AntMiner S2 1TH/s Kit Sales Open, official sales price $2260 per Kit on: June 02, 2014, 06:35:29 PM
I am bald I picked up my S2's Before 1.) They sold out 2.) Eliminated the $400 off coupon 3.) this over priced do it yourself kit is the only option  Huh

"I am bald" is the only thing I understood here...

Sometimes when I am reading BCT I feel like I am talking to the Pikeys in SNATCH...lol

Is you bald too?

Yup, i am bald. i have found it to be an advantage in BTC mining. Being bald is better for your hash rate. Hair and the static it generates is a destructive element to all asics, and simply must go! ...... this should a new 'thread' altogether... get it?
10  Bitcoin / Hardware / Re: AntMiner S2 1TH/s Miner Batch 4, Price changes daily, now 2309 USD for 1TH/s on: May 29, 2014, 07:45:26 PM
S2 received yesterday after ordering it on Friday evening.  The boards inside were all jiggled loose during shipment and the case itself was a little bent but everything works fine.  I wonder if Bitmain could consider shipping the boards secured together seperate from the case itself so there is less chance of damage from the boards clashing around in the case.

Everything works though after plugging them back in.

I ordered Sat, delivered wednesday to UK... not bad.

Has anyone approached bitmain re damaged cases? i have two folded corners and a dent in the top.

......@bitmain ( shouts into the dark ) "Any replacement cases sent out?"

Seriously, why do you care? I have a miner that looks perfect, but only 9 out of 10 boards hash. Do you want to exchange? LOL

I care because i  factor resale into my ..ahem... "profit" happy to swap...cases Grin

Thanks, that's tempting - 2 BTC for 800 GH/s plus $200 shipping - hope bitmain is watching this...

Too tempting had to buy one to try it out. RaPi I have. PSUs I have. I wish to see new Friedcat chips.. Bitmain we have seen Smiley

Jack's site gave me Total (Shipping fee not included) 2.06444018 BTC
I have bought him before customer support is bit dodgy but they have shipped out hundreds of miners. I have buy very first Dragon 1T from him.

-edit- no idea how shipping is billed. I will wait and see.

Let me know how you get on pls

+1
Especially as  @......https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=421921.msg6943817#msg6943817  whole lotta bitchin' going on, seems 'jack' has upset a few!

Amazing how unsure one feels after purchasing the s2's and the different perspectives. i raided my coin stash, so to me the raise in BTC value has made it seem like a viable purchase ( less BTC per unit+ coupon ) but mining profit / ROI, versus what i call the 'ponzi perspective' (sitting and waiting for value to rise) makes me unsure. Should i have just kept the coins.... but then i remember this ain't just about profit right?Huh
14  Bitcoin / Hardware / Re: [Guide] Dogie's Comprehensive Bitmain AntMiner S2 Setup [HD] on: May 24, 2014, 09:12:48 PM
