https://pnnv.com is showing 1 BTC = 0 USD to me. Seems dead. Is it working for you? Same here. I haven't watched in a while so I didnt really know since when it's not working. I have used their exchange service last week and it was working fine though I'm confused whether I should use next week or not. PNNV seems to have transformed itself into an instant exchange. Does not show BTC/FIAT rates like Preev.com anymore. Firefox is showing risk to resolve https://preev.com. Does not it work on HTTPS anymore? I voted for Preev now that they are already online it's an old converter they seldom go offline the only time that they went off is when the owner failed to renew it. Although there is a question on their security because it's showing as unsecured I'm okay on it as long as my anti-virus is not blocking it, thanks to this poll I got to know other converters now I have two more options to use for price comparison. And based on Whois Preev is up until 2025 Domain:preev.com Registrar:Name.com, Inc. Registered On:2011-06-12 Expires On:2025-01-01 Updated On:2021-12-31 Firefox risk issue is now resolved. It is now working fine on HTTPS. But, I am pretty sure that https://Preev.com has changed hand. 1. It is now promoting a site called https://OrdinalsWallet.com/. 2. It has added lots of coins/tokens that was not there before. ETH & ORDI(BRC20) are visible. You'll also find BCH, BSV, TRX, ADA, MATIC, SOL etc. through searching. 3. Contact is now pointing to https://twitter.com/preev_, which used to promote a site called https://Preev.pro before, which was backed by BSV people.

I used PNNV when the PREEV domain was off but now that they are back online I voted for it, even though Preev is in second place in this poll I still think its the most popular Bitcoin converter there is, because it's the oldest converter, and many have used it and it became their reference for many years I've been using it for 5 years already.
Checking Preev on whois the admin extended it up to 2025.
Firefox is showing risk to resolve https://preev.com. Does not it work on HTTPS anymore? PNNV.com has become my go to website when I need to check BTC price. In addition, I'm using their instant swap services which can be another reason for using the website. Preev is definitely a great option but let me be honest. I prefer using pnnv because this is a community made wesbite (agentf) and we should encourage him. He is spending money to advertise the site despite not monetizing the website.
https://pnnv.com is showing 1 BTC = 0 USD to me. Seems dead. Is it working for you?

Almost a year have been passed. How many of the Preev.com alternatives are still in business? Which one are you guys using?
|
|
|
Yes.
Nothing I can do, Preev is back, but I still keep developing mine.
Notice that preev.com is back from your post, having many alternative price estimators better because members will have more choices and everyone has their own preferences. maybe preev can go down again because this has happened so many times As Preev.com is back, I have added it as an option itself. Poll is now public as well.

As the owner of PNNV.com.
I can assure you that you will get supported with your requests and also I'm about to add new features.
As you can see, there appears to be three types of design right now, which are competing to replace Preev.com. Category 1: myri.io & pnnv.comCategory 2: btc2fiat.me, 100bit.co.in & preev.netCategory 3: coinconvert.net & oh.goldCategory 2 & Category 3 are open-source. But, Category 1 is not. In Category 1, you are the only player, who has a representation on BitcoinTalk. So, my question to you is, do you plan to open-source pnnv.com in near future?

I believe, in an era ruled by CoinMarketCap/CoinGecko/Nomics, Preev.com was still popular because of certain reasons... 1. Simple interface 2. Dedicated domain 3. No advertisement The first option, given by you, can be still be considered as a dedicated subdomain. But, the second option simply does not cut it. If I include that, I'll need to include many others like https://nomics.com/markets/btc-bitcoin/usd-united-states-dollar etc. In any case, if more people mentions https://preecs.coolstorage.org, I'll include it in the poll. In another post on BitcoinTalk, I came across two more domains, running the same script. These, I believe, can become alternative to Preev.com. So, I am including those as well... i. https://coinconvert.netii. https://oh.gold

So, as many of us have already noticed, Preev.com is frequently going down. In an era ruled by CoinMarketCap/CoinGecko/Nomics, Preev.com was still a thing for many of us. We liked it for its simple interface. But, now, as the boat is sinking, we were looking for an alternative. Interestingly, many have sprung up quickly to fill the void. So, I collected them from various threads discussing those on BitcoinTalk and putting it forward to all of you for a vote. Which one is your most favorite alternative to Preev.com?- Preev.com- myri.io- pnnv.com- 100bit.co.in- oh.gold- coinconvert.net- preev.net- btc2fiat.meAfter you cast your vote, please mention the WHY in a comment below.

I've actually written a complete thread about this in the past: https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=5247838please read and educate yourself before you push anybody towards cloudflare in the future... Cloudflare is fine for any service that isn't privacy-focussed... But not if you think your clients don't want their details in an FBI/CIA/DOD/... database. I, for one, wouldn't care if the FBI knew i was buying new lightbulbs, so a lightbulbstore could use cloudflare. On the other hand, i WOULD mind if the FBI knew i was mixing coins, or buying a subscription to a porn site, or if i bought a new hunting knife. So if one of these businesses would use cloudflare, i wouldn't touch them with a 20 foot pole. I have some question regarding this paranoia about Cloudflare. If you suspect Cloudflare for monitoring a mixer and leaking data to FBI/CIA/DOD, why would not you suspect the web hosting companies for the same? For example, it is no secret that [banned mixer] is hosted on Hostkey.com and Chipmixer.com is hosted by Choopa.com. So, how difficult is it for FBI/CIA/DOD to get data from these web hosts, if they can do the same for Cloudflare?

How many expensises does a super web hosting needs for 10 years? Half bitcoin?
Your point is logical but not fully described.Bitcointalk forum donation isn't for only this forum moderators. This is all for the development of Bitcoin. What? Do you have the slightest idea about what you are talking about? Donation to BitcoinTalk is used for Bitcoin development? How about you stop shit posting for your signature payment?

For your kind information I tried to sell my bitcoin to one of the localbitcoin buyer. But he asked my passport and NID copy to verify my self. Then how this a non-kyc platform I don't know. Also, I don't think the rate of the loaclbitcoin is fair enough. There is always a big difference from the market rate. Do I need to complain your bounty manager that you are doing shit positing without even reading the post? Where did you find that I mentioned LocalBitcoins? LocalBitcoins now has mandatory KYC rule. I am talking about other non-KYC P2P alternatives like LocalCryptos.com, local.Bitcoin.com or HodlHodl.com, where there is no concept of centralized KYC. You may chose who to trade with and decide whether you'll provide any of your personal information. Moreover, these platforms are safer because authorities will never get your personal details from the platform administration. Even if you provide any of your personal info, that would be between you and your trading partner. If someone asks for your info, you should ask the same from him/her as well.

There are many, but the most recent one is selling some ETH to pay my bill just before the spike.

Have I missed any? Please let me know. I'll add that in the list...
I did not even know that BTC HODLers got so many Crypto for free!

The primary drawback for BAT is that, to redeem BAT reward, one requires KYC. Currently, the only exchange where it can be done is Uphold. I have heard more exchanges like Coinbase etc. will be on board soon. But, KYC requirement will be there.

So, Mt. Gox hack was related to BTC-e and BitMixer.io? And the common point of connection is Alexander Vinnik?

There are less than 100 DT1 members
What? Check the first reference I provided in OP! Nope, they are users in trust list of theymos, and not all of them are DT1 members. To get list of DT1 members, please get it here: Complete overview of users on DT1 and DT2 and their ratingsThere are 94 DT1 members, as I saw. I am pretty sure that is not the case. Please create a Brand New profile and go to https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?action=trust, so that you can see forum's DT, not your customized one. You'll find the following list under DT1... theymos (1) HostFat (-1) dooglus (1) TECSHARE (-1) OgNasty (1) CanaryInTheMine (-1) malevolent (1) qwk (1) Vod (1) Anduck (1) mprep (1) Foxpup (1) philipma1957 (1) babo (1) Cyrus (1) Flying Hellfish (1) Welsh (1) ibminer (1) TMAN (1) TookDk (1) Mitchell (1) Micio (1) vizique (1) Ticked (1) yogg (1) by rallier (1) dbshck (1) TheNewAnon135246 (1) hybridsole (1) greenplastic (1) hilariousandco (1) arulbero (1) Avirunes (1) mindrust (1) buckrogers (1) Lesbian Cow (1) redsn0w (1) willi9974 (-1) cryptodevil (1) suchmoon (1) JayJuanGee (1) Rmcdermott927 (-1) achow101 (1) teeGUMES (1) owlcatz (1) nutildah (1) dazedfool (1) sapta (1) tmfp (1) BitcoinPenny (1) yahoo62278 (1) zazarb (-1) LFC_Bitcoin (1) mhanbostanci (1) bones261 (1) LoyceV (1) actmyname (1) WhiteManWhite (1) Kalemder (1) The Pharmacist (1) LeGaulois (1) DarkStar_ (1) asu (1) kzv (1) TheFuzzStone (1) Jet Cash (1) bL4nkcode (1) Lafu (1) Gunthar (1) finaleshot2016 (1) xtraelv (1) crwth (1) Ale88 (1) Kryptowerk (1) bobita (1) krogothmanhattan (1) Matthias9515 (1) roycilik (1) micgoossens (1) Silent26 (1) Veleor (1) o_e_l_e_o (1) chimk (1) pandukelana2712 (1) coinlocket$ (1) witcher_sense (1) asche (1) DdmrDdmr (1) anonymousminer (1) Alex_Sr (1) morvillz7z (1) fillippone (1) taikuri13 (1) abhiseshakana (1) madnessteat (1) Coolcryptovator (1) lovesmayfamilis (1) DireWolfM14 (1) 1miau (1) DIKUL (1) There are 100 members in the above list. In the post https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=5117330.msg51424908#msg51424908, theymos clearly said... More than 100 would be selected, so a random subset of eligible users will be chosen each month to bring it down to 100. This month 111 users were eligible.
My point was Why a random subset, while you can filter through Forum Position? May be Legendary is not required now, but minimum level can be set as Full Member. Merit system is in place since January 24, 2018. A lot of people contributed before, but did not earn any merit for that. Those threads have gone down in the history of BitcoinTalk. Only a handful of those get merit today. IMHO, the only way to recognize the contribution made before January 24, 2018, is to consider Forum Position as a selection criteria of DT.

I like the design, kudos.
How are you going to run this on mainnet without being a part of the Libra federation that supposedly costs $10MM to get in?
I guess, this Libra is not the one backed by Facebook.

- New users registering after Merit introduction will have a disadvantage compared to users ranked up before (possibly with low effort posts). Theymos is known for disliking too much restrictions for new users and obtaining a Legendary rank would take almost 2 years.
Do we really want someone, who has not given at least two years to this forum, at DT1? I dont know... - Such a change could encourage account sales of high-ranked accounts when scammers are trying to abuse trust.
This appears to be a very lame excuse. In a free market, if something is valuable, there will always be an attempt to achieve that through money power in black market. This is no secret. Even the current model of selection encourages merit & account sales. There are less than 100 DT1 members

As we have seen, since June 11, 2019, more than 100 users are being selected for DT1. Hence, a random subset is being selected as eligible for DT1.Reference: https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=5117330.msg51424908#msg51424908The current selection criteria for DT1 is as follows...I will periodically (maybe every month) be reconstructing the default trust list to include everyone who matches these criteria: - If rank was determined solely using earned merit, then you must be of at least Member rank. - You must have been online sometime within the last 3 days. - Your trust list must include at least 10 users, not including ~distrust entries. - You must not be banned or manually blacklisted from selection. - You must have posted sometime within the last 30 days. - You must have at least 10 people directly trusting you each with an earned merit of at least 10, not including merit you yourself sent. These "votes" are limited. - You must have at least 2 people directly trusting you with an earned merit of at least 250, not including merit you yourself sent. These "votes" are limited. I am hereby suggesting to add an extra filter instead of random subset selection, which is...- You must be of Legendary rank.Rationality: How much time someone has spent on BitcoinTalk, which is signified by Rank, will also have a value along with his/her quality of post, which is signified by Merit. @theymos Over to you.
