Really all you have to do is refer some people, doesn't a similar service offer you more just for signing up?
I have a dropbox but I forget how much space I have in it, it's not much but 50gb of space in the cloud I don't really trust. People host wallets up there and some of them are really easily indexed by google, I would be very weary if you had anything important in those dropboxes.

It's common sense not to store sensitive data in the cloud (Google Drive, OneDrive, Copy, Box, Dropbox etc).
For photos, music, non sensitive data documents etc, there's no reason not to have them backed up in case of HDD/SSD failure and to sync them on all of our devices.
For passwords, Visa/Master Card numbers and any other sensitive data it's much wiser to use services such as LastPass.
