1  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN][MINT] Mintcoin - Join Us on IRC #MintcoinOfficial on: September 27, 2015, 05:50:13 PM
Is there a way someone can "stress test" the Mintcoin network to see how many transactions per second it can handle? Some people are wanting to see proof of what it can do. Like a video and evidence on the block explorer. In another thread I mentioned that Mintcoin is able to do up to 1600 transactions per second, which means it is about the most scalable crypto-coin existing right now. But I don't know how to test this. Does anyone know how we could test something like that? Part of the problem I see with even trying to test it, is Mintcoin requires a 0.1 MINT fee for every transaction.

The scalability of Mintcoin is one of the reasons I have invested in it. I think it is great! I just want to be able to show proof to others of what it can do. People need to know what Mintcoin is capable of. The transaction capacity is a major issue with Bitcoin right now, so to prove MINT superior in this aspect would be nice to demonstrate.

I mis-typed. I mean't to say mintcoin's capacity is at 1600 per second.

Where can I see evidence of this?  Is there a block explorer that shows it happening?

Well it is not currently happening right now this moment, I am just saying what it is supposed to be able to do. I don't know how to test it or I would.

Mintcoin is currently able to support 1600 per second, fully decentralized. I'm not sure what else is faster than that at this point.

Hello,

I was on Reddit, and notice someones post that the Mintcoin price flair ticker is out of date, does anyone know how to fix this and get it pulling the API from a different exchange such as Cryptsy? I was online trying to read and figure it out but it is beyond me. Apparently it is CSS stuff.

It would be cool if we could get it to pull the correct information, and maybe possibly even more stats like shown at

http://www.reddit.com/r/CryptoMarkets
and
http://www.reddit.com/r/FedoraCoin

These show volume, % changes, % mined, difficulty.
