I laser engrave American Sign Language on the back of a standard Scrabble set.

Great way to learn ASL, a unique gift for the Hearing-Impaired, or those who work doing interpreting.

Complete game (box, game board, tiles) - ~4 BTC

Just Tiles (comes with black storage bag) - ~3 BTC

PM for orders or to see reviews from my Etsy store (100% positive)

I will cross-post there, but I just really like this forum, thought I'd offer it up to the members here.
6  Economy / Goods / Market for 6990s ? on: July 11, 2011, 07:08:33 AM
I'm just wondering if there is a market for 6990's if I bought a bulk amount of them from China ? Basically one year warranty (probably a huge hassle, not sure). Looking to sell them around $750 / $850 based on what price I get. I can front the money, but I'd like people to honor their commitments to buy.
7  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: Which GPU(s?) for Mining? Seeking Advice Regarding Video Cards on: July 08, 2011, 01:37:15 AM
There is alot of information on this subject on this forum. I'm not being dismissive, but it's pretty easy to find (mining/hardware)

This might be a good starting point -> https://en.bitcoin.it/wiki/Mining_hardware_comparison

It also depends on your OS choice and overclocking confidence / cooling choice.

8  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: Is it worth starting YABP ? on: July 07, 2011, 10:49:19 PM
I agree with you totally.. but what is that void. Either a marketing side (ie. tapping new people) or coming up with some new scheme that looks more appealing.

Open to suggestions Wink

Heh then either these are lousy business people or the truth hasn't come out yet.

IMHO of course.

10  Other / Beginners & Help / Is it worth starting YABP ? on: July 07, 2011, 09:21:53 PM
(YABP - Yet Another Bitcoin Pool)

I'm just wondering if it's worth starting a pool. There are so many, but in terms of marketing, there are alot of MH/s available out there. Is it worth educating or training new users that have never heard of Bitcoin ? I have the resources and time, but I'm not sure the ROI is still there.

The only advantage I see now, is picking and choosing from the popular pools features.

11  Other / Beginners & Help / Q: No Fee Mining on: July 07, 2011, 09:06:25 PM
How do no fee pools work ? Do they mine as well, and take their cut that way ?
12  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: avoid redundancy, solo mining with 4 machines on: July 07, 2011, 05:43:23 AM
I would like an answer to this as well. I'd assume all machines are assigned a unique hash.. but confirmation is needed.
13  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: Here is the solution for TRUST or WOT on: July 07, 2011, 04:33:41 AM
I like to break things.. so here goes:

- I don't think you could ever stop one person from having multiple accounts.

- I still see groups of people elevating and destroying one person's trust rating without any appeal.
ie. A bunch of secret rascists who all have good ratings because they network, etc. can destroy a minority persons trust rating as soon as they move into the "wrong" neighbourhood.
ie. A member of a church comes out as gay, now everyone there demotes his trust rating.

Sure he can demote every individual that "has it out for him" but that's probably not as influential as 100 people demoting him. Correct ?

I like the idea, I just think you'll never avoid manipulation.. and if it becomes the defacto standard, people's lives could be ruined. ie. Job interviews, bank loans, potential relationships.
14  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: Here is the solution for TRUST or WOT on: July 05, 2011, 09:44:52 AM
I appreciate your response, and I do respect your enthusiasm. However, you say:
"it would be plainly obvious to the users once they used and understood it's use that it was a very sound system."

If it's that obvious, why can't you actually explain it ? Why do I have to engage and immerse myself in your system before knowing it's benefits ? You have to understand that fundamentally you want everyone to be able trust everyone else, but YOU are not willing to trust ANYONE with a plain explanation. You have already stated it's hack / tamper proof. Fantastic, no reason it can't be open source then!

As for databases, that's a whole other topic. The way you've hinted at is that you will host a central trust database. Well, bitcoin is doing very well without such a thing. Distributed systems have some interesting possibilities.  I'm not saying you are wrong or that it's possible to do it some other way, I'm just saying the control of this data (even if anonymized) is a huge factor. And of course, just basic security against having the DB DOS'd constantly is another issue.

I just don't get why you can't say here.. this is it. A couple of graphs, some flowcharts, and the way you've solved the other 2 problems with the same algo. Is it like Amazon, only people review each other. Is it like ebay and we get gold stickers for doing the same thing over and over again. Is it like this forum where you have to earn a certain level by mucking about in newbie area.

Assigning concrete IDs to real people might not be too popular on a forum based on the ideology of a completely anonymous electronic currency. I don't have an alternative to IDs, I've never thought about a trust system.

If you want feedback on the system, how it might be integrated and adopted, obstacles that need to be overcome, etc., then you need to give specific information.

This is trust you're talking about.. probably the most difficult and powerful feeling a human being can have.

I'll end with a question because I would like to continue this conversation..

What is to prevent me from paying $1000 to 1000 people to ensure my trust score is top of the line.. JUST so I can scam another 1000 people (seconds after confirming my 100% trust rating) for $5000 each ?
15  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: Hi guys, I'm trying to sell something accpet bitcoin on: July 05, 2011, 05:24:44 AM
I'm not interested in buying, but I wanted to say thank you for adding bitcoin as a payment option. Perhaps you can make it more noticeable with a bitcoin graphic and some HTML markup ? I hope more merchants on Alibaba start accepting bitcoins!
16  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: Here is the solution for TRUST or WOT on: July 05, 2011, 05:20:49 AM
Wouldn't a new trust system require complete transparency ?

Your trust rating (or "Quatloo Bank") has been lowered!

Being vague about your system
 -2 Quatloos.

Everyone and every corporation will be stored in some sort of SQL DB ?
 -1 Quatloo.

Assigning everyone a QR barcode just to force them into your trust system
 - Not cool, man.

Sitting on this since 1989 ?
+1 Quatloo for keeping the dream alive!

Perhaps not constructive, but the foundation didn't have the right permits anyway.

Tongue

17  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: Newb wanting to know if mining is worth it to me....... on: July 05, 2011, 03:28:08 AM
with the caveat of course, that anyone who posts a triplemining link gets something out of it. Or any link, really. Yay honesty!
18  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: I can't solo mine in GUIMiner? on: July 04, 2011, 08:03:42 AM
I'm pretty sure that's what I saw, before I realized it needed to download the entire chain. Might also be a windows/router block issue as well.
19  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: Canadian Banking for Non-Canadians on: July 04, 2011, 07:29:55 AM
I don't think you can, but doesn't every yank have a cousin up here ? Nothing like international family members Wink

Which Canadian BTC exchanges are the best  ?
20  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: I can't solo mine in GUIMiner? on: July 04, 2011, 07:07:25 AM
Did you let it download the entire block chain ? check the count here: http://blockexplorer.com/q/getblockcount

and check it against the number on your GUIMiner interface (bottom... right corner?)
