Agree PandaCoin (PND) would be a nice add
|
|
|
Think the BTC market being added backfired a bit. Having two different markets with relative low volume creates opportunity for daytraders, which is never a good thing pricewise. There's still a long road ahead, the devs have done superb by keeping faith and working hard on improving the coin. We're definately a growing as a community. It was nice and exciting to see the coin take of, but now let's start focusing on more important things.
P.S. There are still some vacant positions on the PND dev team, so if you're in it for the long haul it might be a wise idea to see if you can help in any way.

![Smiley](https://bitcointalk.org/Smileys/default/smiley.gif) Probably the biggest buy so far. Another record broken lately. We're heading towards 2000 LTC volume, which is also pretty cool ![Smiley](https://bitcointalk.org/Smileys/default/smiley.gif) you always keep attention lol ![Cheesy](https://bitcointalk.org/Smileys/default/cheesy.gif) -- @Vested: Jep noticed it too, a little frustrating to see people still making the mistake.

From another thread. I guess it's the same for PND. What happens to Bitcoins that are sent to a non-existent address?In three situations: 1) If the coins are sent from a local wallet 2) If the coins are sent from an online wallet with a static address 3) If the coins are sent from an online wallet with a dynamic address I've always been afraid of mis-copying/mis-pasting an address into the corresponding field, so I want to get this cleared to prevent future worry. Would appreciate any info :] Thanks! the 3 situations are exactly the same.
If you send coins to an INCORRECT but VALID address they are gone forever.
Bitcoin addresses have a 32 bit checksum so the odds of creating a typo which is INCORRECT but VALID is about one in 4 billion. Still it could happen. If you are copying and pasting the odds are essentially zero (that you could drop or add an extra digit and still produce a valid address with the same checksum).
The much more common problem is doing something stupid: For example thinking you are sending coins to yourself (i.e. your address) but copying the last outgoing address and sending a boatload of coins to someone you sent coins to before. Obviously the network can't protect you from that.

Seems like we are in between storms at the moment. The past few days have been a wild ride, very good to see that it wasn't a "pump and dump" like some predicted and we are simply getting more people interested in PND. I'm excited for the future and hope changing to PoS will help the coin grow further which will in turn help to better achieve goals set.
I really like the PND4PND website but we're still far from being able to make a difference. That's why i'd vote for holding all coins donated untill we've raised enough PND that can actually make a difference. Also maybe the devs can start focussing a little more on charity side of PND. Features like being able to automatically donate a % of minted coins to a specified address would be nice or maybe its possible to make it a core functionality of the coin that a fixed number of coins are annually generated to be used for charity. Leaving it up to the community and the devs what is the best way to 'spend' these. That way we'd be able to create a steady income for charity which in turn should help us with projects like adopting a panda.

Edit: I think i jinxed it. Nice mintpal buy @ 98 - 2014-05-08 17:04:30 BUY 0.00000098 37384953.96938776 36.63725489
This has already been planned but will only be useful once the multipool is the only option to mine the coin. Okay thanks, didn't know that, will be using it once it's there. Are there any plans to update the pandacoin.net website? I'd for one would really appreciate a blog/news section where items like the "Pandacoin (PND) official statement [....] 100% Proof of Stake (PoS)." could be placed. If there aren't i'd be willing to help out on that front.

This looks pretty good actually. Might be a good idea to contact the owner of the explorer about implementing it.
Thanks. I have no idea who the owner is (kinda figured it was one of the devs)..

Nice rollercoaster ride today. Back @ 70+ and this time with decent buy-order volume ![Smiley](https://bitcointalk.org/Smileys/default/smiley.gif) Record-breaking 24-hour volume racking up a whipping 72% of all LTC markets on Mintpal. Still some time left to get it above 1000 which would be cool. I remember days when we hardly had 2 ltc volume.

I disliked the absence of style for the PND blockchain website (pandachain.net), so i made a mintpal like CSS style for it. It's not perfect, but all i could do with little to no selectors available. If anyone else cares to use it here it is. I'm using the Firefox Stylish plugin to customize website stylesheets. * { margin: 0; padding: 0; }
html { background: #B5DBCE; font: 14px/18px Roboto, Arial, Verdana, Helvetica, sans-serif; } body { width: 1000px; margin: 0 auto; background: #fff; padding: 50px; position: relative; }
h1 { color: #fff; font-weight: normal; font-size: 2em; float: left; margin: -50px; margin-left: 114px; width: 786px; margin-bottom: 50px; padding: 10px 50px; background: #353535; line-height: 60px;} h1 img { position: absolute; vertical-align: bottom; margin-right: 20px; left: 50px; }
a { color: #008B5D; } p a { padding: 4px; display: inline-block; } p { text-align: center; clear: both; }
ul { margin: 20px 0; } li { padding: 5px; } table { margin: 20px 0; border: 1px solid #DDDDDD; border-collapse: collapse; border-spacing: 0; width: 100%; } table th { background: none repeat scroll 0 0 #EEEEEE; border-bottom: 1px solid #DADADA; color: #666666; font-size: 90%; padding: 8px; text-align: left; text-transform: uppercase; } table td { border: 0; border-bottom: 1px solid #EEEEEE; padding: 8px; } table tr:nth-child(2n) td { background: none repeat scroll 0 0 #F9F9F9; } table tr:last-child td { border: 0 none; }

I just sold some of my PND in the last pump. And I made some profit, thank you guys.
Is that supposed to be cinical? Anyways thanks for sharing your coins, sure you made some people happy by filling their orders. If you are about making a profit, you had better stuck with PND. Although i get wanting to cash in a little and am happy you were able to make a little profit.

Only 14 days left until dumpminers can do us no harm. Although this could just as easily have been an early adaptor deciding to cash in a little. Ah well nothing to worry about, actually now i kinda hope it goes a little lower so i can get maximum PND before we hit end of the mining era ![Smiley](https://bitcointalk.org/Smileys/default/smiley.gif) I'm convinced we'll get steadily above 5 satoshi before too long. @mke0192: Kind words, couldn't agree more. Nice to see you show support and sign-up. -- Seeing there haven't been any more free PND request from the AC community. Is it safe to assume there's probably not gonna be anymore?

There's still 1.3M left in the account so i'm hoping to at least help another 13 people. @Immortal: Sorry to hear about that. Please follow bdanyo instructions to help official-pandacoin verify. -- Edit: Is it not possible for people on Mintpal (or other exchanges) to transfer coins to their wallet?
