1  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: Cryptonote Technology Coins - General Discussion Thread on: August 31, 2014, 03:20:34 PM
I'm not so sure about these Cryptonote coins. Bitcoin can be made pretty anonymous if need be., These serve a very small niche market but I don't see any of them gaining widespread acceptance.
2  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: NEW IPO Coins (This list is constantly updated) on: August 31, 2014, 02:15:26 PM
Very nice! I am going to start going down the list now and looking into each of the coins.
3  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN][XST] Stealth-Coin.com | Tor | StealthSend, World's first anonymous SMS Tx! on: August 31, 2014, 02:00:21 PM
Is this the same dev as Veilcoin?
4  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Unveiling the truth over the major Monero scam on: August 31, 2014, 01:47:32 PM
You know a coin has gained a pretty good acceptance and threatens others when the "Unveiling the truth behind the ____ scam" thread appears.
5  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: [EMUNIE] We are not dead, just busy building megacool stuff *teasers inside* on: August 24, 2014, 11:21:11 PM
Holy smokes, the client looks awesome! I can't believe all the features this beast is going to have!

eMunie looks like it could make some waves.... I will be watching this closely that's for sure.
6  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN] Crypti | XCR | Launched! | Trading started! | 100% POS | New Source on: August 24, 2014, 11:17:44 PM
I predict a big trading week ahead for Crypti with a lot of price volatility but definitely on an upward trend  Grin
7  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN][RSU]█ ReserveShare █ FREE and FAIR distribution | First POR| UNIQUE Source on: August 24, 2014, 11:07:07 PM
Wow what luck, I just happened upon this with one day left in the registration!

Finally a dev with some actual plans, I like it. I like it a lot  Grin
8  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: SCAM ALERT! SOME WILL BE A SHOCK! USECOIN! BURSTCOIN! CRYPTI! on: August 24, 2014, 11:03:25 PM
I have been following a group of scammers.

Same deal everytime. Decentralised marketplace, designer is Wulfcastle/Duff_man

The big three are.

USECOIN, BURSTCOIN AND A SURPRISE FOR SOME, CRYPTI.

I warned you.

While I have seen Wulfcastle promoting Crypti in the thread, he is certainly not the dev behind it. I think you are just spreading FUD.
9  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: Ethereal inspired by Ethereum: Future is here. on: August 19, 2014, 05:32:09 PM
get out , people dont fall for this crap anymore , scammers like you are pathetically trying to be are the main reason alts are dieing right now

+1, this forum has become a sewer of scammers. Best bet is to avoid any IPO period. Even Etherium put in their terms and conditions that even if they don't launch, they IPO money is non-refundable.

If you must speculate on alts, at least wait until the dev has proven himself and there is a working wallet and the coin is trading on an exchange. If not you are just begging to get ripped off.
10  Economy / Exchanges / Re: [OFFICIAL]Bitfinex.com first Bitcoin P2P lending platform for leverage trading on: August 19, 2014, 05:28:15 PM
What's the risk level when lending through BitVC compared Bitfinex? (i.e. how safe is your money?)

That is definitely something to take into consideration. At this point I feel that Bitfinex is more trustworthy. I'm hoping the returns are at least close.
11  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Asset Exchange about to be release - Qora price creeping up. on: August 19, 2014, 05:27:02 PM
I had no idea that Qora had a marketplace coming out. Thanks for pointing that out, I'll have to give Qora another look.
12  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: SYSCOIN IS SCAM on: August 19, 2014, 05:25:28 PM
LOL, I don't believe there has ever been a coin on this forum that didn't have it's own "it's a scam" thread.
13  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Ripple, is the only "altcoin" out of the top 5 to hold its marketcap on: August 19, 2014, 05:23:36 PM
Ripple even with it's 90% premine

Enough said.
14  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Is Stellar a it scam? on: August 19, 2014, 04:29:05 PM
I still do not understand why someone will receive 3000 stellars and 2 days later only 150  Undecided

Actually, it was 5000 at first. Next thing you know, it is down to 150.

I can't be bothered to even create an account just for 150 str considering the number of coins in total.
15  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Marketplace (Altcoins) / Re: bter hacked and lost 50m nxt on: August 19, 2014, 04:26:05 PM
So in the end the hacker walked away with 440BTC AND 8 million NXT?!

OMG, what a haul!
16  Economy / Service Discussion / Re: Someone please help me get my money back from paypal. on: August 19, 2014, 04:22:25 PM
Well, got $63 back but that's only because the seller didn't write shit in the claim. If he did idk if I'd get it back. Moral of the story: Don't buy bitcoins on fucking Ebay.

It's a good idea to avoid Ebay and Paypal all together - nothing but problems.
17  Economy / Exchanges / Re: [OFFICIAL]Bitfinex.com first Bitcoin P2P lending platform for leverage trading on: August 19, 2014, 04:19:26 PM
What sort of return can you expect if you lend your coins to margin traders on Bitfinex? I heard Huobi's BitVC offers 0.2-0.3% per day so just trying to find the best option out there.

Also, can you chose whether you want to lend in fiat or btc?

Thanks!
18  Other / Archival / Re: Would do anything for bitcoin, desperate for a job. on: August 19, 2014, 03:15:21 PM
Look for signature campaigns you can join, maybe some altcoin faucets, and sign up for any free altcoin giveaways that you can find (take a look at Stellar for example, they were giving out $50 worth of stellars when they first launched).
19  Economy / Services / Re: The best VPS and website host for Bitcoin? on: August 19, 2014, 03:10:10 PM
I use BitVPS for all of my VPS servers and not had hardly any issues at all.  I know the guy who runs it and he is a solid fella for sure!

https://bitvps.com/

Damn, I got excited about this but then I saw they are based out of the US so that's definitely a NO for me.

Anyone know of a Bitcoin accepting VPS in a better jurisdiction?
20  Economy / Speculation / Re: do NOT buy in $48x trap now! it's a fake bounce! $300 crash soon! on: August 19, 2014, 03:07:08 PM
remember the dead cat bounce to $520 from $475 crash at 3 days ago?

today you are seeing the same fake recover! bitcoin will soon crash harder again to $300

do NOT buy any coins now or you will lose more money!

Absolutely NOT going to happen.
