Hi Everyone,

I have a problem and need help.

I just downloaded the new wallet v. 1.2 and it will not load. I get a warning that states: error reading wallet.dat! All keys read correctly, but transaction data or address book might be missing or incorrect.  It looks like there was a fork back in October. I did not upgrade before then.
What should I do?

Update:  I can download and run a new wallet, but I want to move the coins from my old wallet into the new one. When I try moving the wallet.dat file into the new wallet, it will not read the file and gives me the error message.

Try to get hold of your private keys (load wallet using old blackcoin client and export private keys for all addresses) and then start with new blackcoin client and import private keys.

It looks like the export option is not available to me. Backup wallet, Sign Message, and verify message are available option, but the export under the file tab is not functional. It is gray.

Hello everyone.

I am looking for some help. Yesterday I downloaded the wallet version 1.1.2.3. I synced it up with no problems but my coins do not show up. The transactions show up. There have been 57 transactions and I can see the coins received under the transactions tab but the balance, stake, and unconfirmed show zero balance. I have not synced the wallet for months and months. I have two addresses and they are both in the newly downloaded wallet. I had previously saved a back up of my wallet.dat file and put it into the newly downloaded wallet. I also searched the block explorer using my two addresses and it shows I should have a balance of 60,655.61940000 coins with one address and 2,689.48860000 with the other address. Block explorer shows the balance. The wallet shows the transactions, but not the balances.
Here are the two addresses: DJCMMAXfTRaTAhhSgASYPZcuqFTxEwcs5R  and  DTXH2JWHtDHiTCbEhfHqLg9jdcYzH5TqGh

Any help would be appreciated.

Where have my coins gone? Cry

Thanks

Masterkey

Edit: These are old coins from last year. I had a similar problem late last year. Could not get the wallet to sync. My coins were stuck in Stake mode and when I tried to update the wallet last August, the coins vanished and it looked like the coin was dead. See my post from last August 25th. It's on page 35 of this thread.

Edit 2: Nevermind. I used repair wallet and it's fixed. I got this message:

{
"mismatched spent coins" : 28,
"amount affected by repair" : 63345.10800000
}

Balance shows up now. I am good.

Hello all,

It looks like I just missed a hardfork. What do I need to do now?
I downloaded the new wallet and it looks like it is trying to sync and download the entire blockchain but it seems to be stuck at block 9 of 1300001. I have 10 active connections. What should I do?

Update: Now showing 12 connections and stuck at block 9 of 1753806.
Update: Now showing 17 connections and stuck at block 9 of 1753758.
Update 3: After a little more than an hour I have 22 active connections and still stuck at block 9 of 1754230.
Thanks

Hi,

Is anyone having trouble with their wallet not connecting?

I just downloaded the new wallet 1.2.

I followed the instructions at the beginning of this thread.

Deleted old files except for the wallet.dat.
set up a .conf file for the addnodes.
downloaded the blockchain
Ran the qt and it has been running for about ten minutes with no connection to the network.

Any advice for me?

In the debug log, I can see the connection timing out over and over and over again

Thanks

Great job bringing ECCoin back to life. I am impressed. I had not synced my wallet since 8-2-14, exactly 11 months. I downloaded the new wallet today, downloaded the June 21st blockchain, moved my backup wallet.dat file in and synced it up. It worked perfectly and all my coins were there. Once again, Great job!

When you following Yarkol's directions please make sure you back up your wallet and make sure your balance is correct after you sync.  I had coins that were in Stake and when I got synced they were gone till I loaded my backup wallet.  Better safe then sorry!

I just downloaded the new wallet and added my backup wallet.DAT file and it synced up just fine and shows 56 transactions, but no coins. All coins were previously stuck in stake and now they do not show up.

Any advice

Here is what I like about ORB: I am not an altcoin expert, but it seems to me that ORB has been around for a while and still holds a fairly respectable value unlike some other coins that get pumped very high and then fall off a cliff never to return. If you have been into altcoins for even a few months you will have seen it happen to many coins. ORB is still here and still has a good price. Also, there is a pretty impressive list of merchants and services available with ORB. See the beginning of this thread.

People were voting from two different fourms trying to get the coin listed on Mintpal. Votes were supposed to be tallied yesterday and the top ten voters would receive various amounts of XSI for their votes. That did not happen so the voters have lost intertest.

Just want to let you guys know, the voting on both forums has nearly stopped. No payouts as promised, so the voters have lost interest.

Hello,

Is anyone else having problems with the wallet or is it just me?

My wallet is still stuck at  51 blocks remaining, 30939 blocks of transaction history. Last received block was generated 20 hours ago.

I have restarted the wallet five times and it does not make a difference. All coins are in Stake. This is the same problem I had before the new wallet release. Wallet would not sync and coins were stuck in stake. Anyone have any suggestions.

Thanks

Hi,

It looks like the problem is still there. Wallet is now at: Downloaded 30939 blocks of transaction history. Last received block was generated 19 hours ago.

All coins are still stuck in Stake. Wallet seems to be stuck at this point.

Okay,

I deleted everything but the wallet.dat, qt, Dll, and Bootstrap. Started the wallet. It is now synchronizing 10520 blocks remaining.

Hi,

You want me to delete the database, .lock, blk001, blkindex, bootstrap, db,debug, and peers. This would leave only the wallet.dat, qt, and Dll and then download the new wallet again.

Hello,

I downloaded the new wallet yesterday. I deleted all the old stuff from the Appdata folders except for the wallet.dat file. After downloading the new wallet I added the wallet.dat file that I saved and it seemed to sync up pretty fast, all the coins were there and they immediately went to stake and they stayed there. My coins will not come out of stake and they have been there for at least eight hours.
I have nine active connections. Currently at block 30939. Last block 12 hours ago and it is stuck there.
Anyone have any advice.

Thanks
