The real 5.6d works with Radeon Software 21.5.2 and earlier, but does NOT work with 21.6.1(which Windows Update keeps forcing down my throat with every check for updates). Yes, I can go to the unoptimized kernel route, but I'd rather not have to do that when there SHOULD be a new version to support the new drivers.
Disable Windows driver update. Never used the Windows Driver update as I install the drivers I want and not Windows. I have it disabled, but Windows Update kept pushing updated display drivers anyway. Problem may be caused by Windows Insider build issues. I've updated to 21.6.1 and just accepted telling Phoenix to use the -clKernel 0 to get around the issue for now. disable windows update SERVICE instead. 1. run services.msc 2. find windows update at bottom 3. stop the service 4. set it to "manual" (disabled) 5. restart Windows If you're a Windows Insider, it is better to quit the program and use a normal Windows, because I believe will be a huge problem to disable Windows Update. |

Okay, Im testing now 2150mhz the memory
To set it its not easy, you have o change many times to the other standar options, then set all again, or the driver will be missed just changing the memory from tour current mhz, to the higher mhz
63.05 Mhash Team Red Miner, for sure is much more in phoenix miner, but not true at all, I mean phoenix miner lies.

anyone having issues with RX 6800??
My 6800 Fighter is constantly fluctuating between 40 and 62mhs, from 100w to 180w, regardless of what settings I input in radeon wattman. But I dont know if its a compatibility issue, since I have all kind of cards in my rig (2x3080, 3070, 5700xt, 1080ti, 6800) and the Fighter is my main card( the one giving signal to the monitor) Anyone else experiencing same issue? I have noticed that Radeon 21.2.1 that I get driver crashes with PhoenixMiner. 21.2.2 and 21.2.3 helped reduce the number of "Driver not responding" warnings where the driver recovers, but that would explain some of the issue. 21.3.1 has been confirmed to not work with PhoenixMiner and a fix is expected in the next version(but no ETA has been stated yet). Now, because you are using different video cards in the same system, there COULD be some issue with cards not cooperating with each other and confusing the miner. You may want to make sure that for RDNA 2 cards that you don't have any other Radeon cards in the same machine for testing purposes, because something strange may be happening at the driver level. Note that I am fairly new to mining, and am very small scale(single GPU system), but I also have a PowerColor Fighter 6800, and while it works well with 21.1.1, I've seen the problems with the newer drivers. If my single GPU rig has driver problems, at least that isolates the source of problems. As I mentioned, Radeon Software 21.1.1 will be your best bet for use with PhoenixMiner. Not sure about the RX6800 but radeon drivers 20.11.2 have been very stable for me. I tried to update and immediately got crashes. Use DDU tu uninstall the old drivers, then install 21.2.3, best drivers so far (I own a 6800 too). |

I can't see a reason why I would suddenly need to update the drivers for both...I could try it but before this I was mining for months with no problems so I'm reluctant to mess with the rig too much if there is a more obvious problem. I meant, maybe your drivers got updated and you didn't noticed. |

I tried another config from last hour and is worrking good:
Old drivers uninstalled with DDU (I was using 20.2.2 or something, can't remember really)

anyone having issues with RX 6800??
My 6800 Fighter is constantly fluctuating between 40 and 62mhs, from 100w to 180w, regardless of what settings I input in radeon wattman. But I dont know if its a compatibility issue, since I have all kind of cards in my rig (2x3080, 3070, 5700xt, 1080ti, 6800) and the Fighter is my main card( the one giving signal to the monitor) Anyone else experiencing same issue? Have you tried running them in Afterburner? I think the settings for RX 6000 series can only be applied in wattman... Otherwise I'm using afterburner for all the other cards. Totally right, Fast Timming for example is only seteable in Radeon software. |

-clkernel 3 is only for Polaris GPUs - there is no speedup for the newer cards because of the architecture of the memory controller.

Can anybody tell me which version of AMD Windows drivers are recommended for 6800?
The info is so confusing about it.

AMD drivers 21.3.1 (Windows) and 20.50 (Linux) are not supported by PhoenixMiner 5.5c. Do not upgrade to them, or you will get errors, lower hashrate, high stale shares, etc. Support for these drivers will be added in the next release of PhoenixMiner.
I'm using AMD drivers 21.3.1 (Windows) in 5.5c with my RX 6800 getting 63 MH/s, no errors, 2% stales (1 in 55 valid shares), so it's very weird. I tried AMD drivers 20.11.2 (WHQL) and were very buggy, 35 MH/s or something. |

Is anyone running a 6800, 6800XT or 6900XT with SAM enabled with Phoenix miner? I am waiting for mine to come in and I am thinking 100MH/s could be possible with it but would like to see some real world numbers.
Greetings, I have ASUS TUF Gaming Radeon RX 6800 OC Graphics Cards, Core Clock 1200 and memory clock 2150 and they do not pass 64,240 MH / s 50C 49% 127W. When I asked for them, I thought the same ... that they would reach a minimum of 85,000 MH / s; It is time to wait for the great Scholars to see if they can improve it. Can u share more info about your config? I'm using a Sapphire Radeon RX 6800, core clock 1200, memory clock 2120 at 662 mV and I canīt get more than 61,8xx MH/s -Windows 10 Pro -Memory RAM 16 GB -All Cards have the same configuration with: Afterburner 4.6.3 -Core voltage 850 (mV) -Power limit 0 -Core Clock 1200 -memory clock 2150 -Fan speed 50% ----------------------------------- I just added to the bat file. -mi 10 -mt 1 ----------------------------------- 50C to 52C . 126W to 127W ----------------------------------- Excuse my bad English :-) gracías amigo =) |

how exactly did you lower vcore to 662mV?
From RedTeamMiner documentation: To be able to lower voltage properly, you need to modify the powerplay table with e.g. MorePowerTool. Install GPU-Z and MorePowerTool. Save the bios using GPU-Z. Open MorePowerTool, select your Big Navi gpu in the dropdown list. If necessary, load the bios to get a baseline configuration. Lower the "Power and Voltage" -> "Minimum Voltage GFX (mV)" limit to the voltage you with to run. Lower than 625mV is rarely stable, although we've been able to run at 612mV. Then you Save, Restart Windows and you will see the new minimal core mV to the number you choosed. |
