1  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / What do you think will be the next hype in crypto? on: December 14, 2023, 03:37:13 PM
From memecoins to nft's etc what do you think will be the next hype of 2024 or 2025? I personally think of real utility and true privacy. I think CBDC's and constant blockchain tracking will scare a lot of people and they will want true privacy something that monero can bring. Privacy by default is what will be highly desired and needed in the coming future as it will be highly beneficial. Nobody wants to be tracked 24/7 of everything they do.

What do you think?

What are you waiting for, it is time to learn something that can benefit you in the future. We are still young, we don't have the responsibilities of people who are married and have children.
Take advantage of your young age to learn something new that can be used as capital to earn income. You are very lucky, because when you are young Cryptocurrency is growing, if you waste time at a young age, you will regret it when you are old.
Maybe that's what I would say to myself to motivate myself to be more serious about learning about Bitcoin and other crypto assets.

I will apply the study strategy slowly to get the best results, the fastest study system will probably lead me to some mistakes that I don't realize. It doesn't need to be too fast or in other words like a premature one that develops before its time. Learn gradually, you will achieve the best results.

Would you say 26 is old? I will keep on learning this space =)

Trading is a NO NO for me... Atleast for now.
I've lost alot of money through that route and I think I've just been too much in a hurry - that infact, is something I won't wanna try again. I'd also wanna increase my HODL overtime too.

uhmmm ... Your name gives me too much concern and it tells alot about your reputation - you got registered the same year like me too but what happened all of a sudden?? You lost your interest? Wouldn't that be the opposite of the reasons why you made up this post??

Sandra 🧑‍🦰

Hello there, I have invested since 2019 mostly in ada, xmr, xrp and few others. I have made fair bit of money but I unfortunately had some health problems so I have not been active in learning. I'm doing better now and wish to continue. My name is simply from a guy called s1mple lol.
3  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: What would you tell your younger self to learn this space efficiently? on: November 15, 2023, 03:22:00 PM
I'd advice myself to not get involved into trading to begin with. Retail trading is just waste of time and money.

The second thing I'd advice myself would be to... Keep learning more about the crypto space. Maybe don't create a dozen of topics asking basic questions which could be answered with a google search, but yeah, with everything considered, there isn't one thing I regret about learning.

(Ok, maybe I convinced myself to buy a little more  Tongue )

Hey and thank you for the reply,

What did you primarily look into learning? I was thinking about the whole technology in general so I could understand the terms used often. I've bought coins since around 2019 but I do not know too much (mostly buying ada, xmr, eth, btc).

I was also thinking perhaps I should concentrate on learning to use wallets better as I only have a few (mainly just use ledger nano x).

Thanks.

5  Other / Beginners & Help / Ledger, safe or not? on: August 23, 2023, 03:46:08 PM
Hello, so with the whole ledger recovery service that was introduced not too long ago many people went to other hardware wallets. I did not, I wanted to wait and see what happens. I thought people were blowing this out of proportion and now the dust has settled it seems it may be the case.

What is your verdict? Safe? Avoid?

I believed they lied about not having a back door and now found out they do. And also being closed source who knows what can be taken by them. But any hardware wallet service can deploy a new software update and take your keys as most people do not know how to verify the source even if it is open. And if people do find out they will do by other people who have checked it and by that point a lot of keys may get stolen if something or someone decided to go rogue at the respective hardware company. I believe this cannot be applied to all hardware companies due to the design of the device.

All help and views are appreciated thank you.
6  Economy / Exchanges / What should you look for in a DEX? on: June 02, 2023, 10:53:30 AM
I want to look into dexes and I was wondering what is it that you would personally look for in a dex to see if it is good?

7  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / How To Interact With Dapps? on: June 01, 2023, 10:55:04 AM
Hello,

I always been just investing over the years and never really ever used any type of dapps at all. I only ever used trust wallet dex feature. I was just wondering how should I go about learning how to use them correctly? Also, any safety concerns or anything that I should be aware off? I would like to try some type of defi or anything else that would be useful to try/learn/use etc.

Any help is appreciated as always thank you.  Cheesy Cheesy
8  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: Chinese coins pump coming? on: May 29, 2023, 08:01:00 AM
It has started on Kucoin, currently pumping are VELO and VSYS, and I don't think large cap coins have flown yet,
for example CFX, VET and CKB have not experienced pumps either,
of course this is a good opportunity to buy Chinese altcoins before June 1st.

What do you like about vsys? I remember searching them before I couldn't find anything interesting.

moooon!!! Cheesy Cheesy Cheesy Cheesy
I have some meme coins that i've been holding for so long.

DOGE
SHIB
PEPE(NEW)
TURBO(NEW)
OGGY(NEW)

If we do try to look up on those new coins they are currently making out some noise as of this moment.I would say that it did really bring out that huge profits
on my investment specially i did able to get in on the right time but of course i had put up not that much so expect the profits arent that enourmous but having some
multiple folds on my investment wasnt really that so bad after all.

SHIB had been removed on that innovation zone on binance but i do still have the positivity that they would be able to push up that Shibarium.
As for DOGE then i wont be shocked that one day this would be the main payment option on Twitter. Lets just take up some time and wait
on what would happen next.  Wink

I think I might join u in turbo Cheesy

All of meme coins that will not be rugpulled by its developers aka scammers. There have been many cases which liquidity being pulled out by the scammers. This is only wasting our money. I really like meme token which was not scamming its traders.

i.e shiba, doge and anyother meme token which can be identified as legit token for us,

What do you think of floki in that perspective?

12  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: GHOST privacy coin on: April 27, 2023, 03:48:21 PM
Thanks for the feedback!
As a underdog and a privacy coin they did great with restoring the blockchain.
The anon transactions get up to 32 ring signatures.
Also the staking features are nice and the new released PWA wallet feels well coded.
If you hold over 20k GHOST you get a reward, called veteran reward. Before the team has paid out this reward manually. Now the pay put is programmed and when you hold over 20k in your wallet you get the reward automatically.
And the dev team has released a program called GHOST vault which you can run on raspberry pi for anon staking.

Everything is working very good.

I am just surprised why it gets no attention.

I guess people are very fearful of privacy coins in many ways. Such as crack downs on them, regulations and it being exposed. Also as an investment they see far more bigger gains elsewhere with far less risk. Monero is the way to go, even John Mcafee was a Monero fan, only reason I sat that is because of what you put in your original post.

True privacy that is tried and tested is Monero.
13  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: Chinese coins pump coming? on: April 20, 2023, 04:29:20 PM
Hello, with Hong Kong looking to lift ban on crypto in a few months June 1st 2023. Could we see huge gains coming from the next bull market from the following coins: Filecoin (FIL), VeChain (VET), Neo (NEO) and Conflux (CFX).

What are your thoughts?

I ain't gon tell you to buy, instead I'm telling you that I bought quite a few and currently thinking if I should buy a bit more to balance the amount on all these except VET which I had bought way before the others mentioned. I Didn't spend a lot of capital on the rest of these coins though, just a small enough amount to make me smile when I get profits and frown a little when I suffer a loss, lol. Besides, these coins ain't that bad compared to most shitcoins out there anyway so I'm quite satisfied with this investment. Bull run or not, I can store them away and forget about them anyway so all good. xD

Sounds like you are hodling these for a bit of a longer term than the rest. What makes you not want to sell in the short term for quick profits?
14  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Ethereum vs Competitors: Who will lose Relevance? on: April 19, 2023, 12:10:30 PM
Shanghai upgrade is finally happening, but is it too late?  Will Ethereum even be relevant by the time it finishes upgrading?  Or are they taking too long?

Lots of EVM competitors now:
a)  Polygon zkEVM functionality
b) Cardano now has native EVM
c) Filecoin added VM compatibility

Check out our take, and then reply with feedback of your own:
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=GO4-cOgo7j4

I believe Ethereum is too far ahead with its first movers advantage and the amount of developers and dapps in use etc. I think the narrative of your post should be the other way around and asking if other altcoins could try and reach close to ethereum.

I am optimistic for Chinese narrative coins, because this is very bullish news,
CFX has experienced a very high increase and I am sure that several altcoins from China will also follow CFX,
my advice is to just stock up on Chinese narrative coins, and one of the coins that is still very cheap is VSYS, you can buy it on Kucoin.

Thank you for your input, what do you like about vsys?
16  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: We are about to enter altcoin season, what do you think? on: April 17, 2023, 03:53:53 PM
Surely altcoin season cannot happen right now? The market is just starting to recover? I thought the real altcoin season is here after btc halving and btc dominance goes down. Right not we seem to be far off.
17  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Recommend me altcoin to DCA till halving on: April 17, 2023, 01:02:14 PM
Hot ones are XRP and DOGE. XRP is quite noisy recently because on the emphasis on its issue against the SEC, if it happen to win the case then we could expect a huge leap on its market value but if not ofcourse the other way around will occur, problem is not knowing when will the issue be finished. DOGE on the other hand is also becoming noisy because of its increase on the past few days which made the idealization on its value again, alive. Now is believed to be the start of Altcoin season and  popular ones in this market could lead the uptrend for alts, more than the low cap ones. Just be sure to not enter too early and wait for accurate neckline of the charts. If it is DCA, I'd still not suggest futures trading but dpot trading would be better especially if you are into long holding period.

I thought it could never be altcoin season at all if we're still in a bear market. The halving is still next year, surely any type of bullish season would not be this year?
18  Other / Beginners & Help / How Did You Learn? on: April 17, 2023, 08:16:59 AM
Hello and thank you for clicking on this!

So, what I mean by the title is, how did you learn what everything means? What is good? The whole market in terms of coins and tokens, the technical information, how they work, the technology and competitors, etc.

I see so many coins yet If I read the whitepaper or try to dive into things I quickly find out I don't really know much. Yet I see many people who are very positive on certain coins as if they've understood everything within the project and also the competition and made a good logical decision.

My question is how do you get to that point? Anyone have a blueprint on what they did to acquire that knowledge to figure everything out? I'm willing to spend hours on end everyday learning but would greatly appreciate pointers on where to start and go to.

Thank you for any help it will be very much appreciated.  Smiley

I speculate Conflux and some of the projects created in this blockchain might have a pump that will be very much similar to the Shiba Inu token. I heard it is being considered as the Chinese Ethereum by some people in the cryptospace already.

There has also been an integration of 2 of Ethereum's most important DeFi protocols in Conflux.

Conflux Integrates Uniswap V3 And Curve Into China’s Market

Conflux, the first blockchain that complies with China’s stringent regulations, has proposed using CNH (offshore Chinese Yuan) stablecoin alongside Uniswap v3. Additionally, eCFX, the Ethereum mainnet currency CFX that has bridged to the blockchain, has been proposed as the blockchain’s entry into the Curve Wars.

The Uniswap community benefits from more trading opportunities involving USD and CNHC pairs when Uniswap v3 is deployed on Conflux eSpace. Also, Binance’s recent announcement that it will facilitate the mainnet integration of CFX tokens from Conflux Network will benefit the proposal.

Thank you for that, I'll definitely be taking a closer look at conflux.

But wasn't Neo considered to be the chinese ethereum for a long time too? IIRC Neo was also accepted by the chinese government in some way?

20  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Dock, what do you think of this altcoin? on: April 16, 2023, 03:30:00 PM
I've been looking at dock for a bit of time now but can't really make my mind up on it. It seems like it is doing many updates on a regular basis with a great use case but it just doesn't feel lively or adopted.

Is this project dead?
