So I'm sorry to say I agree. You have a great concept here but you can't call honest questions trolling.  You have a solid start here; website, an idea, kinda a white paper. (But) when you ask for investors for trust or maybe faith is a better word; you need to provide ansewers. If the ansewers are scary then be transparent and say what is truthful. Don't bring google into this and rant about software...stay on track with gaming. Remember you chose that direction so educate us.  If you are a game dev then let's talk about games, and what you have done. If you haven't yet created a game then say so...but maybe talk about your credentials or what games you like. What do you know? Cause let's be honest....crypto is full of false pretenses as well as the contrary...people that could actually help you. But this is based on trust. Right now you have asked me for .02btc but given me zero insight into your true vision; not white paper website BS... so what's the plan here? What are we doin?

We need to get back to basics and start talking about the creativity and usability of this coin.  This is an instance were somebody is taking the time to develope somthing with practical use in a small business atmosphere.

Lets remember what we are trying to develop; a usable system that could incorporate payroll, purchasing, accounts receivable/payable, and also hold potential HR functions; while making it all encrypted. This is a small business kit that seems to hold potential and growth and today's business ina huge finicial investment.

Lets hype this system, help the dev, and i have no doubt we will get there.

I cannot imagine walking into a gun store in East Texas and trying to explain to them why they should accept GUN instead of USD - getting over that hurdle would be a LOT easier if you could hand them a book or white paper that tells them all about it and how to use it - Just my 3 cents worth.  I can supply the info on the  guy who did our manual and can cut you a deal before he gets flooded with orders.....Good luck guys!

I tend to agree with this sentiment.  We have already discussed how the algo would help bring attention from the crypto side, but a supplying information to merchants is a different front that may prove to be a larger success.

Typically a white paper would explain the technology behind coin and its "new" algo and how it will revolutionize the crypto-world...However, Guncoin's whitepaper should/could be wrote with a more specific purpose. From the beginning this coin was generated to specifically help with gun auction sites; however there is no clear sequence of operations for a merchant to follow on how to implement it into their current sales system or anything that clearly describes the benefits of using it.

1.) How does it help current small businesses and merchants?
2.) If I use it what more do I have to do?
3.) Do I have to change my payment process to reflect current GUN prices.

These to me are the simple questions that a gun auction website is going to ask...Similar to what was said previously walking into a gun shop and trying to explain this to a clerk or asking them to hit up our website won't be enough.  It just plainly will be too confusing for them and frankly they will lose interest less then minute into it.  We need to sell it more upfront with the benefits and keep them interested.  Force them to ask a questions...

Last week a lot of suggestions were being made toward potentially changing the coin to a PoS or changing the coin to an X11/X13 algo. Are these still a potential reality?  I have mentioned before that a PoS would be a great place to start.  It would help support fellow gun-loving friends that may be still using some old rigs and mining isn't an option.  Another reason, may give a sense of trust to the GUN wallet, download a wallet and begin "minting" you next firearm.  I also know the high level of work in changing this; just curious if these were still options.

There also were some other suggestions on promoting/marketing to put our coin in the lime light of crypto.  We have to keep thinking like this until we have something that sticks.  We all know that there are big names out there that can and will hopefully help us one day but until then we need to think out side the box a little to help promote GUN.

We are all supporters of GUN but if we as a community can't prove our purpose and uniqueness then these "celeb" supporters wont come running and we are just another coin; or at least won't want their name haphazardly tossed on something that we are still working through.  I know we have a purpose, one that is needed, but how to we do better to get that message out?

We are still a young coin and have tons of potential just need to keep working on it.

In my opinion we don't need anonymity with GUN.  Those that are interested in anonymity are business's or commercial retailers; typically so that consumers can't "backtrack" the block chain to see how much "coin" the business/retailer has in their wallets.  Other coins have made it their goal to find a solution for anonymous transactions so that they have somethings to offer; our coin has a larger purpose...The 2nd amendment and everything that surrounds it.

Secondly, with the amount of proper paperwork that goes with a firearm procurement we need to be as transparent as possible.  Anonymous and guns don't blend well from a marketing stand point.

For GUN to be truly used for its intention there are several better avenues were we could spend our time.

We are looking into these options and will discuss the pros/cons.

Thanks for taking the time to look into this..

I believe that this would be a big boost for our coin.

I do think if we were to change the algo that PoS would be a good starting point.  Potentially do a PoW/PoS mix...  Just add the PoS on top of what already exists.

We all know what PoS can do for standardizing the price of coin but it may also may be an easy way to open the doors to the community members that don't have or better said don't know anything about hashing power.

Secondly, it would help against the 51% attack.  Some have mentioned certain individuals intentionally dumping and intentionally keeping the price low.  True or not this could happen.  Protecting  ourselves with a PoS would be a good security measure to guard against those that are against the values behind GUN.

If we wanted to update to X11 or X13 that could be a discussion for later down the road.

Honestly the bad-press thing sounds like it'd be more effective. Go troll a bunch of liberal idiots online spreading fear about guncoin, Huh, profit.

I spent the weekend thinking about the Guncoin promotions and generated this list.  Maybe its a guideline for members of community to follow or be aware of.  A checklist if you will....

Blogs
We already have the largest community out there.  Gun supporters.  This is a strong community that is used to fighting the good fight but may not know what we are trying to do here.  My email inbox is full of articles like I posted below, all it takes is a post that supports GUN in the comments section.  This will point more people at the coin and get them interested.  Not to mention that anyone that reads that article is already a gun supporter...we have a strategical advantage here we should use it.

Banks are not lending to gun stores.  This article is huge for us.
http://blog.cheaperthandirt.com/operation-choke-point/

Start With The Online Retailers
Once we get people interested we have to support them. Meaning a large part of our followers are not familiar with the crpyto world and need to know specifically how to get them, and how to use them.
I understand that the B&M stores are important to our cause, and the cold wallets are awsome, however cyrpto is digital currency and in my opinion should be started online.  We have learned from BTC and other cryptos that this is a well traveled path and works.  BTC started on the internet and only recently have has BTC ATM's started showing up.  The article that I posted above is Cheaper The Dirt blog, if we can start having conversations  with them or other small business websites then we bring validity to the coin.  We all have our favorites lets see if we can get them to help.  Helping comes in many forms; if they don't want to use the coin as currency will they support it by donating some coupon codes/gift cards, equipment or providing free advertisements?

Auction Platform

To further the point I was making above if website help falls on deaf ears, then the dev auction platform is all the more important.  This is huge....I cannot stress how exciting this will be.  Again most of our followers aren't mining the coin so the question arises how do they get it.  I also assume that these community members don't have a clear outlet to go buy BTC to buy GUN.  However, with the auction platform there investment into GUN may be as simple as selling a gun case.  This helps support the investor as well as coin by creating a transaction. Two additional point about the auction platform since there hasn't been much discussion about it.
1. The auctions should be open for anyone to sell anything related to the subject matter.  This will help get the ball rolling.  We all know guns are a fairly expensive purchase so posting a gun for auction is a large investment, however posting a box of ammo or  some magazines helps move some GUN.
2. My other thought was including the sportsmen out there.  The potential to use GUN for non tangible things may be a good start too.  Hunting/Fishing competitions...I mean what is is a better POW then a pic with your trophy deer or fish in it...

These are all ideas to help supplement our primary cause but may helps us on the ground floor.  Gives us an identity to be different from the rest.   Take or leave it...just my thoughts..
