Hey @Preacher With a Shotgun I think the host's servers whent down :-(

We deffenatly need a VPS provider to be a reliable "angel" so that our members aren't left wondering what happened. I'll be hitting the other networks I've found you on so that when other's start searching for BitBiz.io site outages there will be some relovent results.

Happen to know what happened to the server?
2  Bitcoin / Project Development / Re: Wordpress Bitcoin faucet ? on: February 21, 2015, 05:29:17 AM
I've been searching on Wordpress plugins and googled but failed to find any
Anyone know if there is some Wordpress based Bitcoin faucets out there ? Pay directly to the Bitcoin adress and no need to register on any other website etc ...
ty
It maynot be a "plugin" but I do have a faucet within a WordPress page, see bellow example site.
http://s0ands0.esy.es/pay-btc-forward/
~ I had to do a little trickery to get things running smoothly but with a little searching I had this up in an afternoon. Though since then I've been tweeking things like crazy in order to enable more features to the base faucet software I've been using. Eventually II'll be posting a full guide on the forums I moderate for and in another link in the above site on how to imploment a faucet within WP, but if ya need help feel free to ask.

Basicly you'll need to have faucet software uploaded to the same host you're using (use a sub-directory) then load a WP plugin that allows for php code to be run within your posts (there's a few available), and then use
Code:
include("somePath/faucet.php");
or include_once php commands to import the faucet's script into a page within wordpress.

Note though that referrel links usually point back to the source file path :-| so some additinal editing is required to get every bit working seemlissly.

@FaucetBox dev team, hello S0AndS0 here to report a few issues

First the "function is_ssl" neads renamed so that it doesn't easly conflict with other php files that use the same function name. I edited this on my end to resolve errors stating that the function was already in use; ei "function is_ssl" to "function FB_is_ssl" and this resolved the errors once also editing the function calls "is_ssl" on two or three other lines in the same file.

Second using "include_once ("path/to/index.php")" (or any thing simular) results in "No template found" error on pages that I try to imprt the faucet software into.

I already searched this forum thread and found one other member here having simular issues but no "fix" could be found.

How do I include FaucetBox into an already exsisting web-page?

On a positive note this faucet software was far easier to setup than others that I've been playing with *thubs-up*
I also really like the minimal UI on the admin side.

Faucet in a Box script is not meant to be directly included on other sites. We don't support it and you're pretty much on your own if you have any issues. We have a "Faucet in a Box v2" on our TODO list and it'll allow embedding, but we have months of more important work to do.
You can try to fix it yourself. Renaming is_ssl() to anything else and replacing all occurencies in code should be quite straightforward. This function is only used in the root index.php file. And to fix the "No template found", you have to either place the templates directory together with your main php file, that uses include_once("path/to/faucetinabox/index.php"); or tweak the paths in root index.php.
Most people just use <iframe> and it works quite good if you take time to remove any scrollbars etc Smiley
Real quick; Thank You for the <iframe> tip :-D
For my useage the following works great
Code:
<iframe src="path/to/faucet/index.php" width="100%" height="700"></iframe>
~ I'll be posting notes and such for others to use on GitHub in a few days along with a theme {perhaps}

Oh and thanks for permission to make nessisary modifications to the source code, I do read the licencing ;-), so if your team is willing to change it on your end in the next update that would be nice; otherwise you'll just have more people modding things until v2 comes out.

Thank you for your quick responce too, I'll be sharing my faucet through the backend registration once I've a few more things sorted out.

Has the source for this been out? Any evidence that it's actually legit?

Absolutely not, we have only developers word that it is fair, closed source. On top of that it looks like it has totally centralized structure, more even than Ripple or Stellar. Amazing people still consider it cryptocurrency, they are more like tokens.
Y'all gota remember that this is a beta reliace and thier software is likely still patent-pending. I've been writing back and fourth with the MCZ dev team and showing'em examples of open software that is licenced such that they don't get scrued, along with many other subjects, and have hopes that we'll one day see a stable and open reliece of software based on what we're testing here.
On the fair note; explore the blockchain and report odd behavior, I've already had to report an account for odd syncing behavior and do to the current centralized nature they where quickly banned :-D so this is only as fair as we can help make it while they work on systems that will handle fraudulent behavior detection automaticly.

If ya read back through this thread you'll find the reasoning behind why certain things are the way they are with this coin; by keeping those limitations in mind when making suggestions you'll have a higher rate of sucess in having your requests being seen as feasable.

@MangoCoinz :-: Please don't rebrand or if you do shorten it to Mangoz as another sugested. You've a good name, a reason for the coin's life-time cap that's self consistent, and I think it's sweet to earn a coin with swet ;-) the frute conitations just add to the punirificness of it all. The mango it's self could go through an evolution but first try getting a shoe companie's opinion on "running" with a smart foot-ware that ties into your app; professinals have lots of meta-data that they can use to give a better name to what you're building ;-) my two bits on it anyways and I'll back it up too with MCZs (2 of'em).

@AllReaders :-: I've timed two sessions of viguis shaking on an old Epic 4G (slide) SPH-D700; 60 seconds each, once with screen on and once with it off. Each time resulted in nearly the same amount of coins being earned, just over 0.44 MCZ each time, note though that this testing was before the most recent difficulty increes/decrees (there really neads to be an algo. for that) so your results my very. Also I did say viguris shaking ;-)

We have finally redesigned our site, hope you like it Smiley
Check it out : http://www.mangocoinz.com

Best regards, MiCt0 from MangoCoinz

Ahhh much better on mobile; sleek and swift to load :-D though if you've not seen the "Grid" project for web hosting, it might be worth a gander; born of the NoFlo teem it uses fancy AI algo's to present your web content in a very adaptive way. Much easir to throw content at it's AI than code around every browser and screen size, but unlike NoFlo, it aint free :-| still though something worth checking out while the home page is small.

To CM and root users :-: try lowering the apps OOM value; ROM ToolBox has this option under advanced "Keep Alive". This app will also allow you to convert MCZ to a system app so that it's treated differently by your system, however, I'd advize against it.
To non-root / all users :-: try freeing up memory such that your device's govenor isn't panicking when other apps make calls for thier own recources. I try to keep more than 100 Mb free on internal memory for lower end devices or run the risk of missing a text because YouTube and Gmail and what ever else decided to all update at once.

To MangoCoins :-: email sent, I'll keep the links off your thread on the security subject; why make it easy ;-) Don't be to allarmed by the lack of spelling errors; the app I use for emails does what the browser does not.
I look forward to reading up on what your API can offer to the rest of the mobile crypto coin users. Hopefully all this real-world random data can be used to aid other apps to seed thier random number generators as I imagined because MCZ could become a valble network for other coins to use and thus a coin worth mining, hording, and trading.

Though not every miner will have the data plan and storage space available, some will, and thus I'm strongly for some kind of decentralization; what's going to happen to your servers when the last MZC is minded? What happens when a govenment blocks your servers' address(es)? These are things that BTC and related coins account for but give no consern over space or network. I'm interested in what's going on under the hood with syncing and PoMotion, perhaps on device copression before summition of syncing will keep us mobile miners in the game of running nodes long enough for manufactures and service providers to keep up.
I've seen a few offer "truley unlimited data" and many cap after a set amount (bust ya down to 2G) but a select few will offer one without caps, upon finding one I now buy my devices out right and transfer the phone number instead of allowing anyone to mess with the TOC ;-) tip to those still suffering under data usege caps.

Edit :-: one last thing to those having errors with mining; try searching logcat on google play. These logs can be emailed to the devs to provide very detailed info on what's going wrong.

I'd like documentation on the API please.

Currently testing on Android but am conserned about the fraud protection your teem is using; the Xposed tool sweet could very easily spoof new motion data and Android ID and make new usernames upon cap limits. And also conserned with Man in the middle attacks on any network; 3G, 4G and wifi, hoepfully there's suffisant levels of encryption between app and cloud.

I'm willing to aid in running a "full node" when (if) you're ready to go P2P because I happen to be an Android user with unlimited data ;-)

Hey S0AndS0,

Sure, please send us an email to mangocoinz@gmail.com with a brief description of your project. You will need to show us that you are a part of the team behind that project. If you do this we will give you the API manual.

From the very start we thought about the MITM (Man In The Middle) attack, and we can say that we have a sufficient level of encryption between the app and the cloud.
As for the Xposed Installer app for rooted Android phones and other methods of spoofing, we can say that we are currently working of mitigating the risks of spoofing.

Best regards, Srele from MangoCoinz.

Howdy Srele, great to read back from ya,

I'll be sending your teem an email when off work, on lunch right now, with some details on how'd I wish to utilize your coin's API. Currently I'm leading another teem on a simular tangent so I'm very interested.

Well fears subsiding a bit, however, I'm still a little wrary. More than likly some kind of ID hashing can be added, look to the pHash project, that requires a unique external IP to be used along with device ID. But I'd advise getting in touch with the XDA devs on Xposed and see if they can help test your system in a controled manor.

So far really happy with the simple app but does captilization count when sending or reciving? My username is the same as here but the confermation email lower-cassed everything.
