1  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN][ENRG]Energycoin: Your share in The Green Blockchain Economy on: June 16, 2018, 12:57:00 AM
Hello,

I apologize in advanced if this isn't the proper location for this post. But I have been out of crypto for a while now, and I am currently getting back into it. I remember I had some ENRG coin in a wallet that I could not update. I still have what I believe to be all the original files and back ups but I cannot access them. Is there a fix for this? Do I download the new updated wallet? Don't even really know the proper questions to ask to be honest but any help is welcome.

Feel free to PM me or skype or any method that is easy for you. I would love to get back into this coin.

Thank you.
2  Economy / Speculation / Re: Wall Observer BTC/USD - Bitcoin price movement tracking & discussion on: May 24, 2018, 09:02:21 AM
Going further down than expected. Anyone know why?

A small possibility buy It may be that people finally realized bitcoin is nothing more than a pump&dump get rich quick ponzi scheme maybe?

Joke joke. That'not it. USD is gaining power against everything now because of the expected rate hikes. USD will get so powerful in the end it won't carry that power and explode.

I agree with you. My question is what is the expected time table for this? I know it will only be based on your knowledge and really only opinion based. But this drop is making me feel weird...

Just found this. It's a couple of hours old but it is some insight on what's going on in China.

People barely know how to use the chip in their debit cards. This is why bitcoin still has a lot of growth before it becomes a common form of payment.

Also, they very thing we love about bitcoin (decentralization) is the very thing that keeps many people away from it.
5  Economy / Speculation / Re: Bitcoin down to $570 on: August 17, 2016, 03:09:03 AM
I was standing in line at the super market and it took 4 mins (sounds like nothing but it's actually a lot in transaction time) for some guy in his 40's to use the simple chip payment method on his credit card.

- Bitcoin will not go up until there is a method that gets it out for the common people to use. Most of the people I see can't even set up apple pay accounts on there phone.

- Bitcoin will not go big until it finds a way to bring in major money from legitimate sources that pay taxes. I lost 2 big investors when bitcoin was at ~$260 simply because they didn't trust it. I spoke to them when it went up to $650 and said we would of made at least 200K and he told me with the straightest face ever... "I don't care I still don't trust it, my house has 200k equity and it's a safer investment"

Bitcoin still has that "online geek novelty" connotation. When ever I bring it up with certain people it's hard for them to take me serious. This leaves lots of doubt with me to actually make big investments in it.

The good news is it leaves space for me to make my money which I don't mind. I've made my share of cash with BTC. But I doubt I will become a millionaire from it any time soon.

Not sure how much more it will rise. But I am expecting a large drop between Oct-Dec when holidays come and people start converting to FIAT. I'm just worried about the price between AUG and SEPT to be honest.

I've held from buying. I think people that predict the price of anything more than $800 are loony. $650 is the ceiling until bitcoin starts being used by the commoners.
7  Economy / Speculation / Re: This is why the price of bitcoin is dropping on: October 05, 2014, 11:07:31 AM
Every time I try to purchase BTC privately I get refereed to some exchange and than taxed a 40 dollar fee over the top. I'm no whale so that is a lot when I'm buying BTC on a budget.  I've been lurking here and don't have much to add because I am still rather new to BTC.

But why would I buy privately if I'm still getting exchange prices? And risk getting scammed. Even if there is an escrow, who knows? All it takes is one guy wanting to screw over the next. I'll just continue to do as I've done and buy from the exchange myself. After all I'm not trying to stay anonymous.

Is bitstamp considered a "crappy exchange"? I've been buying all my BTC their.

All I'm saying is, exchanges are the tool that make BTC available to the public and help it grow as an actual currency. Isn't this what we all want? Not everyone knows miners they can get wholesale coins from. Not everyone is well connected with the BTC community to just purchase privately. I am a perfect example of this.

Excuse me if I said anything foolish, I'm still rather new. But maybe a perspective from someone that is just coming into this might help. As for me, I'm buying and holding. What's one less night out when I could buy BTC cheap and watch is make me profit.

Quick question, my debug log is now 77GB. Please excuse me if this question is rather stupid. But is it safe to delete this from my ENRG coin wallet files?

Anyone else think it kinda dumb that mintpal is having voting to bring new coins in, and within a week is removing all the new coin it just put up? I like mintpal better than bitrex :/

I feel like this is turning for the worse. I'm sure everyone is trying their best to participate and promote this coin. While I agree that people should take it upon themselves to help the community their in. If BTC was needed than maybe having an IPO would of been a good idea. Once you get people use to free they want everything free.

It's great that we are number 1 on mintpal. Let's keep it going! Thanks to everyone that has been voting.

Here is a small update on my promo video. I have a couple of really nice time lapses captured as well as some other footage. I'm trying to plan a trip to an isolated place to get some astral stuff. I've been a bit busy so I haven't been able to put 100%. But some footage so far looks neat. Looking forward to finishing this and showing you guys.
12  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / Re: Who's still CPU mining? on: July 26, 2014, 04:22:34 AM
I cpu mine with an old gaming rig i have. I get 56khs per core, and I have 4 cores. It's not to bad. I mine darkcoin. X11 seems to be the only thing worth mining. ASICS are taking over everything else.

Crypto is a volatile market, if you lost all your money thats your own fault.

Crypto trading is like the stock market was in the 80's, unregulated and not for the faint of heart. Man the hell up...

I'm currently supporting https://www.indiegogo.com/projects/solar-roadways through facebook and twitter. Get many of my friends to make donations to it. This is great if we can get them to promote energycoin. This is a very popular project and if it goes through energycoin will benefit from this.

If you need help with the script please let me know. I have many years as a director in the film industry and have done many commercials. I can help put something together.

Sorry to say that we couldn't make it to that giveaway. We couldn't collect enough fund for that donation. But we still contact them and donate maybe they will be willing to make video and you can write script and than re-edit the video as well. I'm waiting for any other ideas. Contact me  on PM with your skype or chat with me in IRC. Thanks.

Darnit, I'm trying to set up my funds to where I can donate something. My paypal issues have been horrendous and I'm trying to get some working NXT/BTC/Darkcoin Wallets. Looking forward to contribute but haven't been able to sort things. I am here though.

I'm currently planing to short a short promo video for Energycoin, I'm based in Miami so I have some nice eye candy.

I will try to get in contact with you guys regarding the content of the video. Just some clarification on some pros about energycoin besides whats already stated.

Dunno why XBC is so hi on mintpal, those guys scammed everyone on polinex now they are trying to pump and dump on mintpal.

16  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Poll : do you trust an exchange to hold your bitcoins ? on: July 25, 2014, 02:22:40 AM
So pretty much there all shit.

xapo has insurance? Do you have to pay a premium for that?
17  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN][ENRG]Energycoin - POS Android Wallet Development on: July 23, 2014, 08:35:09 PM
I'm trying to get involved, but I feel I can't even solve simple issues with my wallet not syncing. Not seeing my stake. I've asked for help but no one seems to be having my problem.
18  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Poll : do you trust an exchange to hold your bitcoins ? on: July 23, 2014, 08:33:03 PM
There's no sense in holding ALL the bitcoin savings into an exchange but if I would be forced I'll deposit mine into BitStamp,
the only one I trust.

Offline wallets + paperwallets + online wallets (small amount to trade) to be secure and have some fun.

I heard that bitstamp is closing account and keeping the BTC. Is this true? You seem to trust them a lot. Do you have any input on this?
19  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Validating coin trading profits on: July 23, 2014, 08:01:43 PM
Yeah, I know once I uttered the word decentralized, it all went down hill. Which is great for all of us but horrible for them.
20  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Validating coin trading profits on: July 23, 2014, 07:40:01 PM
I was talking to my friend who is a very successful mortgage broker in Miami. Has her own company and made it through the market crises just fine with her business still in tact. Let's say you make a good amount of money trading coins, mining, and doing all the typical crypto stuff. How will you be able to show proof of income to a bank in order to get loans for a house?

Is crypto trading a legit form of income as of yet? I believe it is, yet I feel many main stream people still don't understand. I would like some help on how I would be able to explain this to someone in better term.

I am a beginner when it comes to BTC so please go easy on me if this seems like a dumb question.
