1  Bitcoin / Mining speculation / Re: Gawminers on: September 13, 2014, 02:53:21 PM
I won't be doing business with Gawminers anymore either. Took a month to ship a Blackwidow. They lied about it. Created fictitious Fedex tracking numbers. Also stated that Fedex takes 48 hours to update their tracking results. Total BS and that was by yours truly, Amber. It wasn't until I called and spoke to a different person I got the truth. They didn't have it and were expecting the skid the next week. When the miner arrived it didn't have the zencontroller that it was supposed to. I emailed Amber a couple more times with no response. I finally threatened a charge back and I magically get an email saying a zencontroller is getting overnighted to me. Buyer beware.
2  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / Re: Help Setting Up Gaw Miner Fury with Raspberry Pi on: August 06, 2014, 03:41:01 AM
I used Raspbian with dmaxl's cgminer 4.3.5. Worked great. Bfgminer always had tons of errors.
3  Bitcoin / Hardware / Re: [Guide] Dogie's Comprehensive RockMiner R-Box Setup [HD] on: July 19, 2014, 07:31:00 PM
Thank for the guide Dogie. Allowed me to get familiar with the R-Box before even having it in my hand.

Plug and play with CGMiner 4.4.1 on rpi. Just added --rock-freq 290 and let it rip. This instance is also running 5 Antminer U2's @ 285Mhz.

my command line looks like this: sudo ./cgminer --rock-freq 290 --anu-freq 285 -o pool url -u username -p password

As a side note this rpi is also running an instance of Dmaxl's CGMiner 4.3.5 fork with 5 GAWminer Fury's using tmux to keep both instances alive and headless.

4  Bitcoin / Mining support / Re: [Setup & Troubleshoot] Bitmain AntMiner S3 440GH/S Miner on: July 17, 2014, 05:09:34 PM
This is an ass backwards guide for IP settings on your antminers. Don't follow OP's instructions. Do it the same way as the S1.

6  Economy / Service Discussion / Re: Cex.io and Their MAITANANCE They are THEFTS!! on: May 30, 2014, 02:46:50 PM
Ok they are kidding with us!

Iīve mad some calculations:

7506 Earned
3129 Maitenance

41%

Proofs:

Ok. I have an account on cex.io & Ghash.io with about 14Gh/s

Iīm mostly looking how itīs going and I just deleted all my bitcoins from this CRAPPY SHITTY THIEFT MASTER WEBSITE!

Here You have some screens why i call them THEFTS!

- 50% of my minted BTC was taken for maitanance..... WTF Huh? Iīm idiot and Iīm mining 50% for Cex.io? with 100% my invest?

Here They took from me about 80% of my earnings!!

They think that We are stupid or what? Ok usually itīs about 100 Satoshi ( look like 10% from earnings) but each few blocks itīs more than 50%

Iīm getting about 1000 Satoshi per block and if They for each block are taking from my 100 sitīs bad!

Maitanance + Trade Fee + EXTREME HASHRATE DROPS!!!

Please better go out from this stuppid business as They are just fucking with us! with current pool hashrate and my calculations they are earning:

14GH/s - Each Block 100satoshi
140GH/s - 1000Satoshi
1400Gh/s - 10000 Satoshi
14000GH/s - 100000 Satoshi
POOL HASHRATE IS 28Ph/s which is 200000 Satoshi per block from MAITANANCE which is 0.2 BTC per block!!

Blocks per day = should be 1440 min ( 24H) / 10min block time = 144 Blocks per day letīs say that cex.io get about 50 blocks per day based on hashrate

50Blocks x 0.2 = 10 BTC per day

10 BTC x 30= 300 BTC

300BTC x 550$ =165000 $ per month

just from MAITANANCE!! now add trade Fee and mining fee ( this is not 0%!!)

Please donīt tell me that cost for maitanance per month are 165K!!

Official price for maitanance per Gh/s is 0.26$ Huh?? - PER MONTH!

and with 1GH/s You are able to make per Month    0.00146400 BTC   $0.83

Itīs clear 1/4 of Your earnings!!! 25%!!!!!!
https://cex.io/maintenance

and Here they are talking about 4%???

https://support.cex.io/hc/communities/public/questions/200783457-Official-statement-about-the-maintenance-fee

Quote
The fee will be billed in BTC per mining share. The estimated fee is 0.000000002695 BTC/share, which makes it ~4% of total mining profit.

Please go back to school.
7  Bitcoin / Hardware / Re: [Antminer S1 Sales open] Price changes daily, now 0.452 BTC for 180GH/s on: May 18, 2014, 04:34:55 PM
I was PM'd asking how all this happened. Here's a recap:

I ordered an S1 on April 30, 2014.
Bitmain shipped it via UPS on May 2, 2014
UPS updated on the web that it was to be deis yhe chance ivered on May 6, 2014
For the following 10 days, UPS kept updating on the web that it was to be delivered the next day.
On May 15th/16th, 2014, UPS issed a loss claim.
I emailed Bitmain about getting a refund on May 17, 2014.
Bitmain responded by offering me a replacement S1 and 3 x 0.05 coupons on May 17th/18th, 2014.

I will update this post with more info in the coming days.

That is great customer service. You got same day turnaround. The moment UPS called it quits they replaced the unit and offered you transferable coupons. Nowhere on their website do they offer refunds. Nowhere on their website they guarantee profit margins. This is the chance you take when you order anything that will be shipped. Next time buy one from a retail store.
