1  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Will Bitcoin ever function as a unit of account? on: Today at 10:31:55 AM
If you mean unit of account as value should be measured in it, salaries and other debts can be paid through it. As in money like fiat and others. Yes, bitcoin is already functioning as unit of account. You can research more about counting like El Salvador and bitcoin most friendly countries like United Arab emirate and Switzerland to understand what I am saying.

Also by design, bitcoin is a unit of account.
2  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: What’s the best advice you would give to new casino players? on: Today at 10:23:01 AM
I have won a jackpot before which was two zeros. It was not once but many times but I have not won more than two zeros before. I have won one zeros before also.

I do not count gambling as something that I should be patient with because I am not expecting money there. I consider any money I deposited on gambling site as lost already but there are time that I won and withdrawal but not frequent.
3  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: What will happen to btc when Michael Saylor's Strategy decide to take Profit? on: Today at 09:25:02 AM
All I have seen Micheal Saylor posted on X is that it is good to hold bitcoin for live time. That means he knows that bitcoin price will continue to increase and I think he is right with how deflationary bitcoin is with limited supply and increasing demand. Michael Saylor knows that if he sells huge part of Strategy bitcoin, it will have huge effect on bitcoin price and which is what he does not want.
4  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Which Sport is Really the Most Profitable to Bet On? on: Today at 09:01:50 AM
I've looked at all the answers to this question. As is right, everyone answers based on their own experience, but if we really evaluate the situation, there's no one sport more profitable than another.
It all depends on the available odds and how much you're willing to gamble. The rest is a matter of knowledge of the sport (even having in-depth knowledge is never enough to ensure a guaranteed income).
If a sport is profitable, betting site will see themselves losing and they will stop it. But I have not heard that a betting site stopped a sport before because it is not or no more profitable. They always make money from gamblers as they are gambling. No sport is profitable than others. As a gambler can win so as the gambler can lose but the chance the gambler will lose is far higher because of house edge and how odds are set by the gambling sites.
5  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: What’s the right age to start gambling? on: Today at 08:53:01 AM
The right age for someone to start gambling should be the age they are when they started earning money for themselves after they are above 18 years. I mean the person should be 18 years of age or above and he should have a job or where he is earning money. So the age can be above 18 years for someone not having a job yet.
6  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Which Sport is Really the Most Profitable to Bet On? on: September 30, 2025, 01:35:53 PM
For me personally I would have to say NBA basketball. This being because that is the sport I follow the most, played as a younger man, and am quite familiar with. For someone else who may have an area of expertise in another sport, I would assume that would likely be their most profitable sport to place a bet on.
Happy to know, bro. I always see your posts in the NBA thread. By the way, I also created a thread called NBA Betting. I think it got locked, but I’ll reopen it once the season is about to start. Would love to see you post there with your picks, let’s see if I’ll fade or follow.  Smiley
But is OgNasty using NBA to make profit or he posted that because he is a fan of NBA and he thinks people can make money from what they know? I will like him to answer that.

I have been gambling and betting since many years ago but I am losing than I am winning which makes me ask the question. I always think gambling is not for profit but for fun.
7  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: How will you know a reliable casino? on: September 30, 2025, 01:25:17 PM
How will you know a reliable casino to bet on, I don't think there is any reliable casino all casino are the same prove me wrong if all casino are not the same?..

Try using those casinos that are represented on this forum and have support through which you can solve your problems. In addition, you should definitely study the casino rules so that you do not have any problems with withdrawal later, since you are located in a prohibited jurisdiction.
Did you read everything that OP posted? This is the reason the OP posted that gambling sites are not reliable:

Have been betting in different casino for a very long time now most of them when I want to cash out they will lock your cash out, most at times you bet on five games if three play the cash out will not even get to  half of the total wining.

If OP wants gambling site to do the business the way gamblers will only make money, there will not be a existing gambling sites. All the sport betting sites on this forum can not satisfy him.
8  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Poland’s new crypto bill - protection or overkill? on: September 30, 2025, 08:20:20 AM
1) Are these penalties (10M PLN fine, 2 years prison) too harsh for the industry?
2) Will this protect users, or just kill off competition and leave the market to a few big players?
I do not think the penalties are too hash because exchanges that are not decentralized supposed to be given a license in the countries that they are operating.

Licensing can kill small businesses. What that kills the small businesses is that the startup capital in the regulations can be too huge for small businesses to have.
9  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Which country really has the most crypto holders by population? on: September 30, 2025, 08:07:27 AM
Curious to hear your thoughts: is percentage adoption in small countries more significant, or does sheer volume of holders in big countries carry more weight?
Everything is important. Another one that I know of is the percentage number of people that hold most crypto. In that case, it is United States and the second country is far below United States if they are both compared.

All these information are important. The countries with the largest markets are also very important because it shows how useful crypto is in such countries.
10  Economy / Speculation / Re: Man with the highest IQ goes all in on Bitcoin on: September 30, 2025, 08:00:01 AM
If there is no bitcoin, there is future for the economy. The economy can do without bitcoin. But just that bitcoin improve the economy, it creates employments. So it is important in the economy but not that the economy can not do without it.

Another thing is that bitcoin is good for investment and many people wait until its price is low and buy it to make more money.
11  Economy / Gambling / Re: Premier League Prediction Thread 2025/2026 on: September 29, 2025, 12:14:52 PM
The first question is, do we have betting sites that give such betting, as in being able to bet on the club to win the league just at the start of the season?
I have seen it before on a local gambling site in my country. I have not gone for it before so I have not interest to go for it on crypto gambling sites but I am sure that it will be on prediction sites like Polymarket.

If there is then I think clubs like Manchester United will be given odds that will be far above the 10 odds you mentioned at least let say even 50 odds for Manchester United since they know that is impossible for Manchester United to win the league when we have far more better club's ahead of them.
Manchester United was in number 14th on the league table when I saw it last in the weekend, so I am expecting the club not to win the league when there are good clubs like Liverpool and Arsenal there in the first and second positions.
12  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Which Sport is Really the Most Profitable to Bet On? on: September 29, 2025, 08:57:21 AM
Do you stick to one sport you really know inside out, or do you spread bets across different ones depending on value?
I have gambled on in-play on table tennis before and I won most time that I am using it to bet, but I do not know if I am accurate because I bet on table tennis not frequently, I do it like two times in a year. So I may not have the accurate information about it. I gamble mostly on sport and it is not profitable. Other ones that I have gambled on before are not sports but casino games.
13  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Did you also go through this stage in gambling? on: September 29, 2025, 08:33:14 AM
Yes, the same for me. I have been gambling for years before I know about this forum, it was on this forum that I know about house edge and other things about gambling, all I know before was gambling sites reputation and good services. Although with the little knowledge that I had at the time, I had fun while gambling when I use small amount of money to gamble.
14  Economy / Gambling / Re: Premier League Prediction Thread 2025/2026 on: September 29, 2025, 08:27:58 AM
Hi everyone Is it possible for Manchester United to finish this 2025/2026 season with a trophy?
If the betting site you are using is having the outrights, just be very careful of the odds that you see. I think clubs like Manchester United will be given an odd above 10 because they know the club can not win English Premier League this season. Although some other clubs will be given far higher odds because the chance they would win the league is very low. Manchester United is far away from winning EPL this season. Just go through the EPL table to know what I am saying.
15  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: PureRAT - Phishing email malware, targeting crypto wallets on: September 29, 2025, 08:23:51 AM
There has been a newly discovered malware called PureRAT by researcher. It begins with a phishing email, a zip file hiding thru copyright infringement notice. The archive contains a legit signed PDF reader, but it only has a malicious dll included.
Which still mean that the malware will be manually downloaded by the affected person. The malware can be new, but the way it will get people's devices affected is still the same like the odd ones. If someone is careful of not downloading files from the phishing message, such person's device will not become affected but people will not learn.
16  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Is Live bet risky for betting companies on: September 29, 2025, 08:06:08 AM
Live bet is when you can make a bet when the game is ongoing. Yesterday while watching the Chelsea vs Brighton game on a Super sport a big station in the South Africa company DSTV. I was watching it with a friend so after half time before the restart of the second half he was on his phone checking on the match and it took nearly five minutes into the game on his phone before the second half kicked off on the TV.

I understand some live score can be faster but nearly five minutes is too far between. So sport betting platforms that has live score should have up to date live score to not get caught but is it still a risky for them or it is completely covered.

This doesn't change anything and bet companies are aware of this. When you see that a booky locks the options of a particular live game just know it's as a result of this, they are just doing it to make sure that the time moves in synch. There's no risk involved because I don't see how the bettor can take advantage of 2 minutes difference. Bookmakers just suspend the odds till it's corrected
But the OP did not say that the betting site did something like this. Or at OP, did the betting site lock the in-play for people not to be able to bet? If so, there should be no need to post about it here, but I think match was not locked.

It is true that if anything happened, the match in-play is locked but not all the time that the odds are changed because if the match did not change yet like if a goal is not scored or if it does not lead to a penalty, the odds may not chnaged for awhile after it becomes available again.
17  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: If a casino glitch credits your balance, do you really have to give it back? on: September 28, 2025, 08:05:40 AM
Legally, would you actually be liable if you don’t return it? Or is it fair to say you acted in good faith since you didn’t know?
And what if casinos can just claim “glitch” anytime they don’t want to pay?
Before a casino will have a legal lawsuit against you because of something like this, that means the money is very huge to the extent that they know they have to get a lawyer against you. The best will be not to return the money until you go to court with them and the court ask you to return it. The case may even turn against them or not.
18  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Is buying KYC accounts really worse than not gambling at all? on: September 28, 2025, 07:59:42 AM
Is it really that bad if someone uses a sold KYC account just to gamble, especially if they’re not doing anything illegal with the funds?
Do you see this trend as dangerous, or just the natural result of over-restrictive rules?
You said the person is doing something not illegal. A gambling site does not support the country the person is living but the person uses identity documents bought to access the gambling site for gambling. Is that not illegal? That is illegal.

Just know that gambling sites have rules against it, that if anyone is seen doing that, the person's account will be banned.
19  Economy / Service Discussion / Re: Blockchain.com continue to send me email on: September 27, 2025, 08:21:21 AM
Thank goodness I haven't been receiving such emails from them. I don't even remember the last time I logged into my account lol. Did you login recently, OP?
I did not login recently. In fact I did not remember the username and the password that I used to register on the wallet because I did not save both as I know I am not going to send bitcoin or any other coins to the wallet.
20  Economy / Service Discussion / Blockchain.com continue to send me email on: September 26, 2025, 05:23:31 PM
I receive email from Blockchain.com again today.

On my last topic, some people posted that people that only registered with email and  password on Blockchain.com will not be sent the email but that is not true. I only tested the wallet few years ago without sending a cent to the exchange.

It is very strange the way the wallet developers are marketing their exchange now and they keep disturbing me to verify.

I was emailed this today

I may finally unsubscribe for me not to receive email from them again.

Blockchain.com is no more a wallet but an exchange.
