1  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN] Diamond (DMD) Evolution v 2.0 | NEW wallet, 50% POS Active on: January 18, 2015, 02:44:10 PM
I use my wallet for solo mining but I moved my conf file out of the diamond folder and restarted my wallet and it gets 12 connections straight away compared to the 3 it gets with

connect=193.68.21.19
connect=54.191.208.14
connect=54.255.133.30
connect=54.86.164.216

in the conf file
This is not recommended if you are mining, your wallet now more susceptible to forking ... in essence u are now connecting to ANYONE.   Connect= is for users mining to their wallet via PoW or PoS and is connecting only to trusted nodes.  Popshot can explain this better than I can ...

I'm not mining at the moment without the conf file, i just wanted to see how the wallet would act without it.

why is one of the nodes running 2.0.4.1 when the latest version is 2.0.4?

Ive been watching the network closely over the past few days and whats up with the block explorer, as the time of generation is after the block that follows it. How is this possible? I read that at one point the DOGE network was worried that one pool was getting close to 50% or the total hashrate which would then compromise the network with a 51% attack. Yet regularly Danbi's pool is over 50% of the net hash rate.

My wallet still only has 3 connections to the network. How can we reinforce the network? is it by adding additional nodes? Or is it that there is a problem with the blockchain viewer and the blocks are actually in order?

Can I ask how many connections your wallets have to the network as mine only ever has 2 or 3. Is this normal? Also for POS my wallet was mostly filled with transactions or 1DMD or under so would it be worth transferring the whole balance out and then back in again so it will then have the same coinage? or should i just leave it?
6  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN][GRS][DMD] Pallas optimized groestlcoin / diamond etc. opencl kernel on: January 13, 2015, 10:45:29 AM
Well the best i can run at without crashing is at 1040 core / 1250 memory as it wont go lower with a -0.055 core volt drop

1 card the rig pulls 510W at 28.5MH/s so 0.056MH per watt
2 cards the rig pulls 740W at 57MH/s so 0.077MH per watt
3 cards the rig pull 990W at 85.5MH/s so 0.086MH per watt

which is about 230 - 250W per card with 0.114MH per watt excluding the system use

if anybody can get a higher hash per watt then let me know

EDIT

Even at that rate with my electricity costs i cant make a profit...

Can I ask what software you are using to change the values as I'm using msi after burner 4.1 but it wont change the memory clock and the core clock is always lower than what I set?

These changes are really pushing my cards now as they normally sat at 50'C but are now over 60'C (They are watercooled). I will put up power usage when i next reboot and plug the power meter in.

Thanks, I wasnt disabling the intel in UEFI which was my problem. its working now at 26.5MH/s per card which is amazing.

when i run HetPas it doesn't detect the graphics cards even though im running 14.9 drivers. anybody know why?

i get either Runtime error: openCL error: CL_Device_not_found or no GCN device found when i re-enable the intel integrated graphics. i am running 3 R9 290's and ive tried 14.9 and 14.12 beta drivers and neither work

Whats the best driver version to use as i can only get 11MH/s from my R9 290

280x normal hashrate ? I get 16.8mh 1070/1500. Its ok ? thanks!

is that per card? what miner are you using as i cant even get my R9 290's that high....

Try running the wallet with these flags : -repairwallet (and if the first doesn't help use the other one) -salvagewallet

i ran both and the second one seems to have deleted everything so no i have no transactions or anything....
