After playing Expedition 33 you pulled this name out of your ass didn't you?

How far is this project along? Close to mainnet or all theory so far?
4  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN] Zensia – A Fair-Launch, Privacy-First Cryptocurrency Seeking Community Fee on: May 06, 2025, 10:33:34 PM
Is there a discord?

Is there any test-net or mainnet yet?

Honestly don't care. Let me know when there's a coin I can get in on early though

7  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN] Phicoin (PHI) Φ : The PoW High-Performance Infrastructure 🚀 on: October 25, 2024, 05:23:12 AM
Why is this better than private + asic resistant monero?
8  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: Proxima - a DAG-based cooperative distributed ledger on: October 09, 2024, 05:13:36 PM
I'm still confused on how normal people get coins? ICOs are not allowed in many countries not to mention the KYC and all that. If normal people cannot get coins at the start then project is built on a house of cards.
9  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN] KASPA (KAS) - GPU PoW - ghostDAG on: August 21, 2024, 05:29:44 PM
Adoption is well underway for Kaspa. Marathon Mining (MARA) announced last month that have been mining Kaspa with 30 peta hash and will have another 30 petahash aimed at Kaspa by years end. Many OG Bitcoiners are not happy about this. Kaspa is the real deal and Marathon mining knows this too.

Merchant adoption is not great. Black market merchants are unlikely to switch from Monero unless Kaspa offers them transactional privacy. Support for kaspa in P2P trading software such as Haveno or BasicSwap would help.

Privacy coins are not worth it at all. It just brings down extra scrutiny and regulation. Look at what Binance and Kraken did to Monero. They caved into regulatory pressure and de-listed it. The price of Monero hasn't moved in years.

Big Scam. No one in their right mind will do KYC to mine crypto.

Big scam. Just look at Ethereum Classic

Why a 2 year old Ann?

Funny because took them 2 years to Announce it, yet still say "Fair Launch" and "No Pre-Mine".

lol no.

Re-read the post it was announced on Twitter and Bitcointalk back in 2022. Also it was on Coinbase grant back then too if you follow back.
13  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN] FACT0RN - POW Hashing Replaced With Factoring on: February 20, 2024, 06:17:02 AM
I don't know. I'm just a enthusiast of the project. I don't think the creator ever made an announcement on this channel. He did under discussion though back in 2022: https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=5400871.0

Fact0rn

What is it?
Fact0rn is a proof of work cryptocurrency which changes the hashing algorithm seen in Bitcoin and similar POW coins to factoring. Thus making it the only cryptocurrency whose consensus is actually useful and can be used in things beyond just securing the network. Fact0rn received a 100,000$ grant from Coinbase to develop this theory: https://www.coinbase.com/blog/fact0rn-blockchain-integer-factorization-as-proof-of-work-pow. The whitepaper is here: https://drive.google.com/file/d/1AJ5_MTIhdI-lz8X35WGi20JNnbN_q2vn/view

Who cares about factoring?
The digital security of banks, 500 Fortune companies, governments and many IoT devices depend on RSA — a cryptographic system whose security is provided by the difficulty of factoring integers into their prime factors. In addition to the interest from private industry there are more than a dozen active academic communities that factor integers as a hobby in the hopes of advancing our knowledge of mathematical theory in various areas. Many of them offer large sums of money for factorization. Fact0rn also plans to have a marketplace essentially for factoring.

Tokenomics
The Fact0rn tokenomics model is built around a unique difficulty adjustment mechanism based on prime factorization. The key takeaway is that the difficulty of mining roughly increases 6-9 times for every doubling of the block reward. This intricate design aims to balance inflation and scarcity, ensuring long-term network sustainability.

No VCs, fairly launched, no pre-mine. Network launched in April 2022: https://twitter.com/LionesEscanor/status/1516720678812200965

Seems like a great project. Reminds me of Kaspa.

Kraken and Binance listed futures. I think spot is only a matter of time.

Kaspa ranking fixed on Coinmarketcap. Nearing 0.1$, Life is good!

You should join the Discord. All the important info is discussed there and people can answer more of your questions.

Someone else can answer the more technical questions, as to how people found out about Kaspa before it was mentioned on bitcointalk.

There were a lot of academic papers / stuff written by the creators which referenced Kaspa. I assume academics who were following the space, read his whitepapers/ tweets, and were interested to learn more found out that way:

About Kaspa (https://someone235.medium.com/scaling-bitcoin-with-blockdag-d785174a3402) This was back in April 26, 2021. There was a link to the discord at the bottom.

Yonatan tweet about Kaspa in April 12, 2021 (https://twitter.com/hashdag/status/1381633444078309383)

kaspa pump to sell ASICs, watch and learn newbs LOL  Tongue

Shortly after you wrote that comment KAS corrected 30% and then went back up to make an all time high. Maybe you should do some more research on Kaspa and see how revolutionary it is as opposed to thinking this is another speed mine scam. There's a good reason it went up 300x during a bear market.
