1  Economy / Computer hardware / Re: [WTS] 50 total X Antminers s9, L3+ on: December 13, 2017, 09:00:24 PM
has anyone successfully bought one of these?
2  Economy / Computer hardware / Re: [WTS?] Old Antminer S1 Hashing Boards on: September 23, 2014, 04:19:23 PM
To answer a few of the PM Questions:

I am currently located in the US, Austin,TX to be exact. Pickup would be fine with me.

here's a pic of what i'm selling.

Escrow would be fine with me, via OgNasty or someone else on the BitcoinTalk list.

based on the PM Offers I'm ok with $15/board (neg) with buyer covering shipping.

This does NOT include the Control Board, as it is used up during the upgrade. I can include some of the leftover hex screws (4 per board).

One of these boards does not have the 6 Pin Connectors but instead has an adapter that screws into the board and let's you use the 6 pins. These will be included with this board.
Also for reference, 3 of the S1's were OC'd @ 200GH/s the other 3 were just run @ stock speeds. If you would prefer a Stock or OC board let me know.

I currently have only Upgraded 2 of the S1's (the stock ones). The remaining 5 are hopefully going to be done today/tomorrow. But that gives me a total of 14 of these boards available after my upgrade is done.

Hope that answers all the questions.

Not sure if there is any interest in these, but i'll have a few on hand after I finish my upgrades. I can ship them in the same packaging that the Upgrades came in (which is pretty extensive).

PM or post here if you are interested.
4  Other / Off-topic / Exhaust Setup for Office - thoughts? on: September 18, 2014, 07:41:10 PM
I currently have 4 S3's, 1 S1 & a Thunder x6 in my office at home, and its getting a little warm in here  Smiley

I'm considering setting up some exhaust fan for the units to help cool the office & my home but i have some constraints from my wife.

1. I can't use the window exhaust as the wife doesnt want the window open when no one is home during the day.
2. I cant setup a "vent-a-hood" over the units and exhaust into the attic or setup a exhaust in the exterior wall into the outside.

So what I'm considering, and would like some feedback on, is an exhaust fan through the attic.

What I think i'd like to do is setup a Solar powered Attic fan,
http://www.lowes.com/pd_269916-228-NPSP8WW_0__?Ntt=solar+attic+fan&UserSearch=solar+attic+fan&productId=3122395&rpp=32

and then cut an exhaust grill into the ceiling of my office, the fan would have some duct attached to it that would be connected to the exhaust grill in my office. Thus limiting the solar attic fan intake to the air grill in my office.

Can anyone give me some feedback on this idea? Thanks
5  Other / Off-topic / Corrupting MicroSD Cards on Rasp Pi B+ ? on: September 13, 2014, 08:00:20 PM
I have a new raspberry pi, ( http://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B00LPESRUK/ref=oh_aui_detailpage_o00_s00?ie=UTF8&psc=1 ) thats running with this psu cable ( http://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B00FIFYQMA/ref=oh_aui_detailpage_o00_s00?ie=UTF8&psc=1 ) and i've gone through 2 micro sd cards already. I'm also using this Pi Image from Zeus,  https://mega.co.nz/#!Zl5SHapY!11rnnOQRycHiiyl9U5oDJV-HMp2LBGLwJg5m6glbnuE

All setup / configuration was done based on this setup instrucation, for the Thunder x6. http://zeusminer.com/user-manual-ver-1-0/

The first time I accidently unplugg'd the microsd while the unit was on and I was trying to plugin a USB device.

The 2nd time I came home from dinner and found the unit with both the red & green lights on and the Zeus miner thats attached was not mining and I couldnt get to the pi's IP address in a url.

So I thought ok, let's reboot. So I unplugged the pi and rebooted and now once again i'm getting "bad sectors" and the unit wont finish booting.

I've formatted (block by block) the 2 SD Cards and I've also reloaded the image several times. And run Checkdisks on the cards when they are connected.

Can someone help me understand what i'm doing wrong here? or do I just have bad cards? or a bad Pi?

Screenshots of the pi:

I left several more messages today asking for updates.

I did some research, I hear Bitmain is offering 7.7% refund or 10% coupon off next order. I heard this was because they advertised 480GH/s and delivered 440. I am curious, is 112Bit honoring this as well? I was under the impression they were, but have not heard anything back after 3 emails and trying to reach Juan on Skype. Would be nice to know when, how, and if to apply for the refund or coupon? Huh

Good question Dustin, we have been trying for almost 3 weeks to get 112Bit to answer that question.

Juan?

Juan,

How are you guys handling the Coupons/Refund based on Bitmain's annoucement?

1)   10.0% worth of coupon for the B1~B3 customers. This is the default option.
2)   7.7% worth of refund. We will release a function on our official website for application of this option. If you have bought from our resellers, please contact them and provide your Bitcoin address.

Just trying to follow up on this, tried calling no answer. Sad

I was just reading on Bitmain's S3 Discussion and Support forum at this link: https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=671189.msg8042466#msg8042466

Apparently, Bitmain is just starting to process the refund.

There's also a lot of tech talk on Bitmain's forum. That may be of interest to some of you.

Still waiting on this.  When/How are we getting our refunds/coupons?  You need to address this.  Otherwise all future orders will be going through bitmain directly.

I've also left Skype messages, voice mails and contact requests (on 112bit.com) trying to follow up on this. Thus far, no answer.  Sad

18  Bitcoin / Hardware / Re: Fan Replacements for Antminer S1 on: July 25, 2014, 07:06:55 PM
I ended up picking up 2 of these to try them out. http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16835213010

After installation I saw a 10 degree decrease in temperature after sustained usage (~1h). They are much louder than the original bitmain fasn, but with the box fan I have running over the units also Its hardly noticeable. However, they put out a TON more air than the bitmain fans.
