1  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: Myriad [1st Multi-PoW] 2 Papers Released - Latest Projects || MAMMMP on: June 19, 2014, 02:29:07 PM
Well I'm on it simply because it is the only mineable coin for older cards.   That means its more spread out, which can be good and bad.   Bad because short term price isn't good.   Good I hope because it WILL get pumped, and when it does, because of the hype and the spread of coin, it might just go a little crazy.

At any rate, with my old hardware (sure as hell not buying any new), no reason not to Speculate on this one.

I wonder why new Fad coins don't use this Algo?   it is by far the best for me, maybe not for newer cards?

He didn't really spam it for no reason. Someone said they had trouble registering on the site, he gave an alternative.

Here's an interesting article on deanonymizing coinjoin.

http://www.coindesk.com/blockchains-sharedcoin-users-can-identified-says-security-expert/

They don't discuss DarkCoin explicitly, but I presume they have the exact same problem.

What exactly is the problem you are hinting?    I don't see it.

Question can X intensity be used on this coin?  If so does anyone have a configuration file to share?

Mining has finished, only Interest on your wallet (POS) now.
5  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN][VRC] | VeriCoin | PoS - Dynamic Interest | No Premine on: June 07, 2014, 09:21:04 AM
Sorry for not checking ;-)

Has anyone been mining on

http://pool.vericoin.info/ with X11

What is your hashrate and average payout ?

My hashrate is around 18.06 MH and I have one share in the last hour.

If you get one share you know its working.  You won't necessarily get a lot of shares so at first it is a bit of a leap of faith, but thats the same with a lot of multipools.

You won't get regular payouts as they exchange what they mine for Vericoin.   So usually what you mine today, you will get payed for tomorrow.  Once you stop mining you will also get payouts for a day or so, depending on what coin they mined and how easy it is to exchange.

The coin is dead!

If you look at future potensial at least 99% of all alt coins are dead. Even those not created yet.

Anoncoin is not among them. Why?

1. Because it have active DEVELOPMENT. (Development is not the same as active copy-pasting)  Grin
2. It is not created soley to enrich the developeres.

take a look at his other posts , all coins are dead, and he loves to smile Smiley

Who doesn't.   I refrained from posting asking him to sell his coins.
But dude, sell your coins, don't get all ancy up in our faces, sellem and get out if your are worried so much!!!

Lots of action with other coinds last couple days, haven't looked at price of ANC, Hope its gone down a bit, I sold a few on the High and need to stock up again ^^

This is 100% POS Coin now (non mineable) , you can mine at the multipool though if you would like to be paid out in VRC pool.vericoin.info

BTW Pnosker can you repost the donation addresses here for the devs and yourself.

Both BTC and VRC if possible.

Thanks

did some background scan of regmann

seems he,s into exposing fraud or asking questions about suspicious tings for a while now )

one of his post about ( EFL ) electronic gulden

sorry for my bad English i am even bad in written dutch ( native dutch ) but i am 100% against some peeps getting rich trough scamming

like i stated as soon as i found out stay eway from this scam

something like this coin could be done using the DUTCH NON PROFIT organisation registration ( WITCH IS CHEAP ) and u could even get sponsorship ( or legally do other shit )

i even overed to help them whit this or pay for it  ( easy as hell to do )

the only problem for them is ( THEY COULD NOT RUN AWAY WHIT MASSIVE PROFITS ) and would be punishable by law if they did Smiley

whit this i will warn every one stay eway from this crap scam

( 1 utility bill ) we pay EVERYTHING in advance  ( except mobile contracts ) witch we pay trough ( AUTOMATIC PAYMENT )

we dont get ANY bills @ all ( u can seek this all online )

to save paper ( AND NATURE ) we don't get bills in general ( except if u forgot to pay your shit ) bills can be send monthly ( if u pay exstra for this ) we dutch are greedy ( gowingdutch < thats our style )

and the dreaded blou ( tax bill,s Tongue )

also price to send a paper  ( trough aromatic process ) to 100.000 households is € 33199,99 < x4 hmz ( cost of printing 100.000 papers ( 857,88 euro )
http://www.printernet.nl/reclamefolder <

if they really wanted to do it the legal way they would have done it non profit Wink

get smart people )
some one stating he is dutch and asking for 2 utility bills ( max 3 months old ) is not dutch ( and yes we can all use google translate LOL )

and this one

they did this whit doge leafe cash and all other coins the added in the last months

holding deposits back to make price rize ( and prob selling early bought coins @ other exchanges themselves for inflated prices ) then after they sold all for max profit they open the floodgate,s and prices crash LOL

traced the last coins added + time of announcement ( as u can see the buy volume ) was high on all coins

And before they announced it the price already shot up a lil ( then exploded )

as alwase every one will say this proofs noting

and they only add coins whit high volume ( witch is not true )

but up to u all Smiley

Why would you need to do some research on yourself!!!

You are having a very entertaining conversation with yourself here   Wink

VeriSend

We are looking to raise 100,000 VRC to our VeriSend bounty address. All coins will be used only for mixing purposes and will not be spent. Please donate to VWtaoEnHHaGrA7TW9P2YBo8ZYetAVak2Wh.

We have a test implementation of our VeriSend feature that we've been working on since the coin's inception. We thought it would be fun to drop far after the launch of the coin so the early adopters could be rewarded for investing in such a cool coin. I've been disappointed in the lack of community behind the coin, however. With the pastebin crashing prices and only Rubber_Monkey/sdmathis taking the lead for PR/Marketing, barely anybody knows about VeriCoin. Our sub Reddit is empty. We aren't being tweeted about nearly enough. Nobody is talking about VRC in the Poloniex chatbox. People aren't pestering MintPal and Cryptsy to add us.

These things need to change before we release any details. effectsToCause and I have put a LOT of our time and ideas into this coin. Right now it seems that not many people like them or care enough to help us get VeriCoin out into the world. If nobody cares, we could simply just sell off our ANON implementation to another coin that's willing to pay (XLB has a 7 BTC+ bounty for ANON for example). I'd rather see our coin grow. I want the community to form and start to get the word about VeriCoin out there.

So here are some benchmarks I will be looking for before we release details about how VeriSend will work:

I want to see the coin trading at 5000 satoshi. I don't care how it gets there. The value is WAY too low right now for a coin of this substance.
I want to see people joining the Sub Reddit (www.reddit.com/r/vericoin) and posting there.
I want to see people talking about VeriCoin in the Poloniex Chat box.
I want to see people talking about VeriCoin on twitter.
I want to see people writing articles about VeriCoin on blogs and news sites.

Get these done and you will see the most innovative/speedy/secure ANON system to ever be implemented into a cryptocurrency.

Come on folks, donate a little, it won't kill you!

LOL this has now turned into a joke.

I only go onto Polo for a laugh!!!

Let the coin die already....

Hi suchmoon,

Earlier on this thread you dropped the ghash.io multi pool due to a combination of poor profitability and technical difficulties with the pool. Do you think that it's worth trying them out again?

It would be nice to have some more scrypt choices for us poor schlubs that are stuck with ASICs.

"Stuck with an Asic"
and
"Schlub"    don't go in the same sentence!!!!

if your looking for pure scrypt choices, I think it will be up to your own instincts, as they change day to day.
All multipools will have a good day and a bad day.  Find one that fits your ideals, or change between.

I wish I had an Asic or 2 >.<

@ Skaia - Wouldn't mind seeing ANC on a less laggy exchange.  I don't hate cryptsy, it just is slow and clunky to navigate!!!
Not sure why they are taking so long with their wallet.   It is kinda annoying to update tho, have to start I2P network, wait 5 mins, start anoncoin wallet, close anoncoin wallet, then open anoncoin wallet again.

What a rigmarole for I2P.   Maybe I should try the other networks see if they are easier?

Yeah, I kind of agree here. I only use i2p for the anoncoin client too, and it is a bit annoying. If the developers added an i2p router to anoncoin, along with zerocoin, it would be a killer app.
I2P will be builtin (you can choose if you want builtin or external) once i2pd (see github) is usable.

If you only use I2P for ANC, why dont you just use ANC in clearnet as privacy is none of ur concerns.

yes true, but all the hype is about I2P.    I know nothing about that, clearnet, Tor or anything else, so to most non Anonymous needing people these will be something we need to work out how to use.

I2p was the popular thing so that's the way I went.      Was this mistaken?   Are the other ways better?  faster?

I don't know.    and that is the main problem that will hold ANC back from hitting it popular.     That may not be what you want, and that is all fine and good, and that is also why this one grabs me more.
No real hype here, and the coin is holdin its own.    So sick of nublets trying to overhype the damn things its embarrasing.

But yeah, point is, this ANC isn't that easy to master.   Maybe that's its charm tho?  who knows.

Just installed the new AMD 14.6 driver for a modest 10-15% boost on X11(darkcoin) without changing anything else at all.

Some people were reporting up to 80% more Hash on some cards depending on the algorithm so I thought I'd give it a try!!!
Seems you can tweak setting a little more as well, so I may be able to improve more with some other tweaking.

Warning: Keep an eye on your temperatures while tweaking with this driver!

This might muck up your graphs a little  Tongue
I am on 14.4 and 13.12 depending on what rig, but I have heard EXACTLY the opposite.
I have heard 14.6 gives 10-15% lower hashrates, and people are going back to previous
versions.  You may have just got higher hashrates because you did a proper clean uninstall
and re-install.

Is that for Scrypt or others?    I tried scrypt and I had a slight decrease in hash on the one coin I tried.   I don't bother with scrypt much anymore, power is expensive and scrypt is double the rest.
I think the 80% increases were for groestlcoin.

I did a clean install last time, I just wacked this one over the top.   I haven't had a problem in years just wacking the new drivers over the top with AMD, they seem to have a good uninstall>reinstall system these days so its not really over the top of the last, your just trusting AMD installer to do a better job then it used to, and I believe it does.

I'm pretty lazy tho, if it ain't broke, don't fix it!!!

I have a good idea to promote our project, "bruteforce" attack on  RSA UFOs by cpu power  isn't necessary, the attack can be handled by drAGon925 and his powful words Grin  Grin Grin

Hello WDL,

I didn't "attacked" only you, there is few guys like you, who will be quietly now when price go down..
btw I look at your posts, and every time you have some problem where is no problem. Very paranoid..
That is who you are, and on this forum I like to be other side.

I decide to support ANC, with facts, not with dissatisfaction.

I can write every day 100x same problems as you, knowing that meeh/gnosis are not reading... But I do not see what result will be by that.

See you soon at the opening of the ZC

Btw, price didn't really go down(much).
Bitcoin price just went up!!!

Also you would expect a dip on a bitcoin resurgency!!  Who is going to hold onto Altcoins while Bitcoin is on the rise!!!

Is it worth adding magicpool.org? Apparently it's a pool of pools, auto-selecting between multi pools.

I'm skeptical that another level of indirection (and more fees) can make much of a difference, especially since there often doesn't seem to be that big a delta between the multipools. But it might be interesting.

The only pool that has somewhat predictable profitability is nicehash, but even that can change quickly as customers add/remove/change orders. I just don't see how magicpool can estimate future profitability of waffle/clever/coinshift, so I have to call BS on this one Smiley

19  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN][VRC] | VeriCoin | PoS - Dynamic Interest | No Premine on: June 02, 2014, 11:15:18 PM
ok i missed something obviously I thought we were in PoS therefore how are we mining VRC?

Still in its infancy, the crypto world we R traveresing is a cyber-conundrum. The vast majority of people can't get their head around How BTC works. Those immersed in it R pressing on into the unknown creating code that's nebulous to all but those with IT and coding chops.

Here's how I THINK! Vericoin is proceeding.

POW is over. There is no publicly, active, mining going. Nor will there be. 26 Million Vericoin have been created.

HOWEVER. Staking creates/mines coins to pay the interest on coins being staked. So the Block chain is being added too by this action

Coins must be in Wallets to Stake. If U keep your wallet open it's good for the stability of the network and the coins "age/mature" and are awarded interest every 8 hours they remain in the wallet continuously. While staking, these coins cannot be spent/transferred. You can set a reserve in your wallet so you can ALWAYS have the number of coins that U may want to trade or spend available.

The accounting of Spendable, Available, and unconfirmed is tracked by the wallet.

If u open your wallet once a year U will receive the staking interest for all coins that have been in there for more than 8 hours. Then they will begin aging/maturing again. In the once a year scenario I believe (not sure) all the staked coins would then mature in 8 hours and pay interest

For always Open Wallets: As Coins start aging when they arrive in your wallet, every 8 hours they remain there "Staking"  they generate interest. All interest is compounded. It's virtually impossible to get all your vericoin to stake simultaneously.

The VeriCoin Multipool

All hash (scrypt or X11 only) pointed @ the MultiPool is managed by an algorithm which selects the most profitable coins to mine @ that time. The coins being mined are anonymous to everyone but the pool master. The spoils from mining will then be sold on the open market for BTC on the exchange offering the best price. The total resulting BTC will then be used to BUY Vericoin (again @ the best price) on the open market and then distributed to the share holders in the MultiPool.

Payouts will be made @ an interval to be decided but more than once a day.

All this will happen automatically once the algo for the Multipool is complete.

Can U C the intricacies of coding that this algo requires? This is why it takes time  and why we R lucky to have

The Best Development Team in Crypto

working tirelessly in the best interest of the Crypto Community to make this daunting piece of software known as Vericoin a true Masterpiece

20  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / Re: Compare profitability: Scrypt Scrypt-N X11 multipools and hashrate rentals on: May 26, 2014, 03:20:53 PM
is there any easier way to calculator how much btc I am getting if I am mining trademybit?

I don't know if it is correct. According to TMB, x11 is scrypt * 2.9. is that correct?

for example, yesterday is 0.003 Mh/s/Day/BTC ( scrypt price)

if I want x11, I have to do this:

0.003*2.9=0.0087 for x11

is that correct?

No it is X 2.9 hashpower.    profitibality is a whole different thing and will vary from day to day.

Also hashpower will vary depending on your hardware, that number is just a general guide!

For instance my cards do more than 4 times the hashpower on X11 than scrypt!!!
