I haven't followed Gulden closely since the reward change, did any new development come for Gulden in 2021? Is Malcolm still with the team?
Malcolm is still with the team. In a couple of weeks Witness Sync update will be delivered. this will speed up wallet syncs by using the witness nodes in the Gulden network. Today the price tanked because bitcoinmeester decided to delist Gulden. So they are up for grabs for cheaps now. Today a business man shared a video of him at a meeting explaining they want to adapt Gulden as a local secondary currency next to the Euro. Normally i think this news would have pumped the price. Too bad that the Bitcoinmeester announcement came before that. Could be a dip to take adventage off.
today Rijk also announced that the premine of Florin.org , which was planned for Airdrop on holders and marketing/development was sold to a third party. (maybe not really for Gulden thread but since both projects are linked) |

Why has the rewards not changed, I thought it was changing yesterday?
Change activates at block 1400000 not a specific date like 1st of July. Approx 50 blocks to go, couple of hours. |

I was banned on slack for talking about the CMC ranking in trader channel. No insults to anyone, I am on telegram these days but I hear slack is more relaxed compared to 2018 when people got banned for anything negative.
There is hardly no banning, and all previous bans were released. Also no check of account like back in the days. Any e-mail address can register. Last two bans where 1. for calling people faggots and putting a fist up to the elbow in an arse and 2. for calling people who do marketing for Gulden on a voluntary basis, stupid idiots. Why would you want people like that in a community. |

Carpe diem, seize the day! The devs should discuss with bitvavo to be listed before the drop with a down payment before listing and another after listing. The exchange will want this event to take place while Gulden is listed. I pledge another 20k as a Gulden patriot after 19 other members donate 10k each and the devs another 200k.

Thanks for the contribution to bitvavo, it is more then most have contributed, considering Gukden is meant to have over 100 000 users. Not worried, they preparing for their North Korean audience. A better idea is for users to buy Gulden to increase the price and let the dev funding pay for the exchange. Is the 50k what bitvavo wants or wishful thinking? The devs can take the Euros back if the submission fails instead of users contributing and never getting the funds back if it does not succeed.
Alternatively sell Gulden at 2 or 3 times the price from the dev funding , at least the funders receive something in return. The listing on bitvavo will increase the price and this includes the dev funding who will receive over 60% of the reward each block.
Of course an increase of the price gives a bit more space for funding purposes like exchange listings and marketing. However, a part of the dev funding has already been going towards the Bitvavo goal. Slowly we're getting there. Well the dev trough at 3c earns 85k in 2 months, at 6c it's 170k. I would expect that GAB to provide the remaining 30k for bitvavo. The GAB said the development reward will be cut when the value of Gulden increases. At 6c the GAB can halve the development reward. With the new ruleset that activates at block 1.400.000 the dev reward already gets lowered and the halving mechanism is activated so every 4 years the rewards get halved, incl. Dev reward. Ps Doxter, 200.000nlg is donated from dev reward to bitvavo listing so please donate the 10.000nlg (5%) you promised through wewantbitvavo.com , thanks Paste the Gulden address here, I will send 10000nlg to the dev trough. Can't these guys create a ETH, BTC , LTC donation options? Why donate Gulden when it can be dumped on bittrex and crashing the price and forcing more Gulden donations to make up the value.
It's the same shit as increasing the rewards and expecting the price to remain the same or go up.
I think i read on slack they are working on this. |

Stop making yourself look like an idiot by saying a 51% attack is possible at Gulden. It clearly shows you have no clue what you are talking about. The combo of mining and witnessing makes it impossible.
The devs havent taken a month to see if the blockchain is safe, they are working on witness sync. Development of that is done and testing has started as can be read in channel #testnet on slack.
