If you don't have free electricity it's only 1 choice. Buy Bitcoins instead miners. Even with electricity at 0,1$/kWh and difficuty jump at 5% S4 will no ROI.

Pretty much ^this  Undecided

Second that advice. Unless you have millions of dollars to invest and free electricity.

Thanks all for your valuable input.

Thanks

As of now the S4 looks to be the best...but once we add shipping things change Sad

Hi Guys

I am looking to buy some decent hardware with an investment of 30k-40k, which machines would be the best to go with considering a good ROI.

I was looking at SP35 , Bitmain S4 , Cointerra...so many choices but want to dig your brains too.

Appreciate the answers in advance.

Thanks

Hi Pats. PM me your e-mail address and I will pass it forward to my friend who will be the one moving your gear to the data center. You'd also have to let him know which pricing structure you wish to use - ie monthly, 3 month plan (likely the best value), 6 month, etc.

Edit: My friend is also in the GTA so it should be easy for you.

Well, I have to mention...kudos to AllinVain and his partner who met me this evening and picked up my miners. Fantastic service, great insight and professional. I have regained my trust in people who I meet off forums (having been burnt a couple of times)...my miners will be up & running by end of day today.

Excellent work AllinVain, great service you guys are providing to people like us. Will definitely work long term with you guys and grow together.

I don't have an SP30 so I can't speak to it specifically.

watts = amps * volts
so if it pulls 3000w = 14.42 amps @ 208v , 13.64 amps @ 220

Technically if you were to have a 30amp typical 208/220/240 circuit, you would be pushing the limit to put 2 SP30 on the same circuit.  Most suggest loading a circuit to no more than 80% capacity (i.e. 24amps on a 30amp circuit).

The s2 is simple - mine typically draw like 1000-1100 watts - just plug them in.

You might want to see if you can add some circuits at your house or office.

$299 for 1/4 rack is comparable to what I paid in a greater NYC datacenter

Appreciate the reply.. thanks, so stressed about this

Hi Guys

I am in the process of acquiring 2 spondoolies SP30's & 1 Antminer S2,

I cannot keep them at home as there is no place or the power. I am looking at hosting options here in the GTA and have gotten some crazy numbers

Hosting Option 1

Options A
Half Cabinet 20U - $300/Month, $99 Setup
20A/220V Circuit - $800/Month, $575 Setup
1Mbps Commit on 100Mbps burstable pipe - $25/Month
Discount on 1 Year Commit - $1010/Month, $250 Setup

Option 2
Quarter Cabinet 10U with 7.5A/110V Circuit - $495/Month, $395 Setup
1Mbps Commit on 100Mbps burstable pipe - $25/Month
Discount on 1 Year Commit - $470/Month, $150 Setup

Hosting Option 2

1/4 rack at $299.00 as committed and full charge for the electricity as stated by the devices, which would be 5,800 watts(5.8KW/H) * 24 hours/ day*30 days/ month @ $0.13/ KWH = $542.88/ month, so say $550.00

Therefore , in order to start the process, we would require $550.00 + $299.00/ month= $849.00+ taxes

I spoke to Spondoolies and all their calculations are based on 220V, but here in North America we have 110V standard.

Here is their reply:

"The SP30 pulls 3000W continuously. It requires minimum 208V power supply.

The machine is equipped with two power supply units each pulling 1500W and each requires a 15 amp circuit - 20 amps is better. They can be together on a single 30 amp circuit."

So I am stuck with 3 paper weights and no clue where to host as I am out of options in GTA, so looking at you guys for help.

If anyone has an SP30, please tell me how much power it consumes while its running 24/7 and whats the minimum amp it requires.

Really appreciate your help.

Thanks

Guys,

I called the Grosmont College where this person works, contacted their Campus Police, they confirmed that he still works at the College. They directed me to the San Diego Sheriff dept.

I contacted the Sheriff's dept at 1.858.565.5200, mentioned the issue & James Cho working for Grossmont College. They informed me that since I am calling from Outside of San Diego (Ontario, Canada) I will have to report this fraud (That's what they have determined this is) to my local police department and they would reach out to the San Diego sheriff department. So I am going to start the ball rolling locally here and don't care even if it takes me a year or two to recoup my money, now its more about ethics and not the money. Had James Cho proved to the forum that he was indeed robbed and the police report attached to the forum we would have let this go.

I request any one in the area to please contact the Sheriff dept and register a fraud case against this James Cho.

Thanks
