Unfortunately some German banks, including Postbank, are being targeted by criminals trying to make illegitimate transfers from accounts that don't belong to them. So as a precaution all Postbank deposits are currently considered high risk. Because of the higher risk, we cannot accept your deposit at your current Tier level. If you verify your Kraken account to Tier 3 so that we have better confirmation of your identity, we can release the deposit. If you don't wish to do this, then the alternative is that we return the funds to the account they came from. Unfortunately we have to take extra precautions for all Postbank deposits, even for those who did nothing wrong, and we're sorry for the inconvenience.

I am sincerely sorry about your deposit being placed on hold. All Postbank deposits are being placed on a temporary hold for 3-5 business days at the request of our German bank, Fidor Bank. After 3-5 business days when Fidor has cleared the deposit, your Kraken account will be quickly credited. The holding of Postbank deposits is a very temporary step; we hope to resolve this soon.
