Granite coin will be under new management from today. User "chrysophylax " is taking over the coin as I am unable to work further on the development for so many reasons. I gave my full support to chrysophylax during the transition towards new management. Stay tuned for updates from chrysophylax. Thank you all for your support.

GraniteCoin - are there any developments happening? If so, what may they be?
GraniteCoin - Im perplexed as to why you havent promoted the coin any further with developments that will bring interest back into the coin. Anonymity was one - but that is a thing of the past now. Are there ideas that can be implemented that would respark interest again?
btw - I have an issue with the last 28hours of syncing. It seems it just sits there and does nothing but hang. Any ideas?
I mine coins based on the future development now we need GRN dev have any more plan. Now has been unable to update
I am sorry to know about wallet sync issue. The sync issue was due to less mining activity. People need to start mining GRN for the block numbers to increase, and therefore all the counts will be back in sync again. I promoted GRN much for several weeks until the price fell so hard and it did not make any sense given the coin is simple without any innovative feature. I am looking to improve the wallet with additional features and maybe tor implementation. If you are a developer willing to help/ suggestions, please pm me.

This is the screen shot of the current state of seed. This proves beyond doubt that it has not been restarted since the launch of GRN (May 22nd). ![](https://ip.bitcointalk.org/?u=http%3A%2F%2Fi60.tinypic.com%2Fv4qstf.png&t=663&c=dQ3PVcCdi3CHzg)

This guy wanted me to accept his amateur marketing offer. He had been sending me several pm's and I already informed him about my disinterest. Then he threatens FUD. We had bonus blocks multiple times before and never had any issue. His allegations are baseless and stupid. Same guy coming in multiple ids and spreading FUD. Just Ignore him.

Anon implementation did not work out. Sorry. What's your opinion about converting GRN to PoS (Proof-of-Stake)?

I'm looking at the possibility to implement Anonymous transaction feature in GraniteCoin (Main thread: https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=621544.0 ) If you are a developer with competency to implement anonymous transaction feature (coinjoin/darksend), send me a PM. Open bounty (BTC or GRN).

any news on developments?
I am still looking for a Game developer. With current GRN market position, the response for the bounty is poor. I am looking into other options.

WTH is wrong with this coin? I've withdrawed twice from bittrex to my wallet and it never arrived. I withdraw another one afterward and that one arrive. ![Huh](https://bitcointalk.org/Smileys/default/huh.gif) In Bittrex go to Wallet > Withdrawal history > select transaction > transaction ID and look up in the block explorer ( http://www.coinexplorers.com/chain/GraniteCoin) for transfer status. Restart your personal wallet (maybe it was unsynced) and see if that helps.

Hi guys,
I have a few questions:
- Is there an IRC? - What are your plans to differentiate this coin from others? - Will there be a rich list? - How will you promote this coin?
If the dev could answer this I'd be really happy.
Thank you.
We do not have IRC yet. Our next plan is to develop a game (Android) which will utilize the coin. Right now we are hosted on a shared block explorer. The rich list feature (currently under dev) will be up soon. GRN rich list ready: http://www.coinexplorers.com/richlist/GraniteCoin

what's special about this coin?
One the most important is the use of DigiShield to prevent instamine-instadump and coin raped to the ground. As a result the coin value has not been susceptible to the wild swings that most alt coins experience. Especially for a straight POW coin. Digishield is specific to granite or it was bring form another coin ? cheers Specific to Granite.

I was browsing dedicatedpool for new coin to mine as I was doing VERY poor with my hash on LTCX and found this coin. So I read ANN in dedicated and notice bounty for linux wallet: ![](https://ip.bitcointalk.org/?u=http%3A%2F%2Fs30.postimg.org%2Frbazvizw1%2F2014_05_29_22_01_43.png&t=663&c=0aqjWz47GZimLg) But reading ANN here, I noticed that there are no more bounty for linux wallet. Anyway I booted my Ubuntu 12.04 and compiled wallet. Then I tried to run it on Ubuntu 10.04 in virtual machine but it failed, as it still needed some libraries. My Ubuntu 10.04 virtual machine is tuned for QT static compiling (i.e, You don't need to install any additional libraries. I spent many days to make static compiling to work ![Cheesy](https://bitcointalk.org/Smileys/default/cheesy.gif) ), so I tried to compile it statically on Ubuntu 10.04, and woala - my first successfully compiled static QT wallet for linux!!! And Granite Coin gets this honour Download here (with OpenSSL 1.0.1g): Mega.co.nz File size: 25,2 MB
And, working wallet screenshot: (waiting for coins from Bittrex ![Cheesy](https://bitcointalk.org/Smileys/default/cheesy.gif) ) <screenshot comping in couple minutes> I added my GRN tips address in signature in case anyone thinks I deserve some coins ![Smiley](https://bitcointalk.org/Smileys/default/smiley.gif) Now testing on Ubuntu 10.04 live CD to check if static compilation really works ![Smiley](https://bitcointalk.org/Smileys/default/smiley.gif) EDIT: SH*T it compiled with old SSL version, recompiling...EDIT2: Recompiled with OpenSSL 1.0.1g ![Smiley](https://bitcointalk.org/Smileys/default/smiley.gif) Yes, the bounty for linux wallet was cancelled, but I will donate for your efforts.
