1  Economy / Speculation / Re: What you want to see in Bitcoin Speculation website? on: September 22, 2015, 07:05:55 PM
Hi
I am looking to build a website specially for bitcoin speculation? What you want to see there?

A real time price quote on all major btc exchanges.
2  Economy / Speculation / Re: Calling a five months target at $211 - next prediction on page 6 :) on: May 03, 2015, 01:40:22 PM
So, anyone is profiting from following this post?
3  Economy / Economics / Re: Why do people keep saying BTC is dead?! on: May 03, 2015, 01:39:32 PM
Every time, for as long as I remember, that I go on bitcointalk, everyone keeps posting "BTC IS DEAD" "SELL" etc... And then a few Sr/Hero members come and explain how thats wrong.

I just don't get it.

Aren't we used to the price fluctuating by now? Whats with all the crying/moaning about price bubbles, crashing, inflations, Russia, China blablablablablablaaaaa!

Jeez... Do some research before posting, I saw one post which got LOADS of attention, yet the first post was done by paint, with an unlabelled graph which showed wrong data!

This is getting to the point where we are affecting newer members or gullible people into selling/dumping all their coins instead of keeping them. I mean when I come on the forum, I see that its crashing, why would I buy in?

I think we need to stop giving the panicking people attention and focus more on positive sides.

Because many people lose a lot of money betting it will go to moon and it didn't happen.
4  Economy / Economics / Re: Economic Inequality on: November 24, 2014, 06:06:19 PM
It is the government that creates increases wealth inequality.

If not for progressive taxes, wealth inequality would be higher.  Smiley

Prove it.

Cite peer reviewed evidence or argument from first principles.

Because if not for progressive taxation, rich people would pay less in taxes, and poor people would pay more.
Are you suggesting that rich people paying less in taxes would make them poorer?
Or that poor paying more in taxes would make them richer?
Those are the only scenarios which would reduce financial inequality, and both are self-contradictory.

Couldn't have put it better myself.  Grin
I thought that it was obvious that progressive taxation reduces wealth inequality.

Taxes create more inequality by subsidizing the super rich.
5  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Do you USE your BTC? on: November 24, 2014, 06:02:41 PM
Of course. Some stores were giving discount to btc users.
6  Economy / Economics / Re: Does this constant price drop lead to mining centralization? on: November 06, 2014, 02:10:31 PM
Scaling is the reason why centralization is occurring regardless of what kind of fiat or crypto currency we used.

7  Other / Politics & Society / Re: Americans Getting Poorer on: November 06, 2014, 02:05:32 PM
They are finally raising the minimum wage, which will at least help the people who make that.

Unfortunately they are only raising the minimum wage.  I know in Seattle it will be going up to $15/hr.  That is absolutely insane they don't raise everything else.  I imagine there are some people out there making $14/hr and are doing fairly well at a respectable entry level job.  Now you can get the exact same pay at Mcdonalds?  What is wrong with this picture...

Minimum wage is unhealthy for the system. The reason outsourcing trend is still going on right now as cheaper labor can be find elsewhere even for highly specialized profession.

Sound like a reasonable action to take if there is nothing we can do.
9  Economy / Economics / Re: Dark Markets: good or bad for BTC? on: October 24, 2014, 07:14:50 AM
Voted bad as every legitimate business will get scrutiny from government for using bitcoin.
10  Economy / Economics / Re: Is the US economy going up or down? on: October 19, 2014, 10:01:37 AM
Simple question. From where I'm standing it seems to be doing neither so I'd like to hear some facts and perhaps some opinions.

Down in inflated adjusted term, up in not adjusted term.
11  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Tor+Blockchain wallet hacked? 633 btc loss on: October 19, 2014, 10:00:33 AM
The consensus so far is the pc is compromised and not tor protocol and exit node?
12  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: What's next after Bitcoin? on: October 10, 2014, 07:55:04 AM
I think that is a later thing to think about as bitcoin still haven't fully developed and years away that we can see its full potential and get a global recognition.

Bitcoin already known by most people at the most basic level (mostly associate with fraud and drug).
13  Economy / Exchanges / Re: [OFFICIAL]Bitfinex.com first Bitcoin P2P lending platform for leverage trading on: October 10, 2014, 07:53:22 AM
The mining contract swap offered by bitfinex is a lot cheaper than cloud mining offered by some of the big boys (Knc, gawminers, and etc).

Maybe they should also offer contract for scrypt based and x11,13 based mining contract. Will certainly increase value for the exchange platform.
14  Economy / Economics / Re: I SAW 21000 BTC SELL WALL TODAYT on: October 07, 2014, 12:52:44 PM
I don't get why people fund these guys...  If they are just going ot dump F them...

Honestly if they are just going to make an alt instead of building on BTC.. F them.

Just checked their wallet, there are still over 20k btc waiting to be cash out.
15  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Julian Assange: Bitcoin is Much More Than Just a Currency on: October 07, 2014, 12:51:34 PM
Guess you didn't get the memo

http://bitcoinvox.com/article/1041/satoshi-asked-wikileaks-to-avoid-bitcoin-in-2010

That guy will do nothing to help Bitcoin he is not our our savior. He ruins everything he touches. He is contaminated and should be treated as such.

Don't talk bollocks, Satoshi was reluctant back then because he/she/they didn't want bitcoin to become politicized as such an early stage of development. Nothing wrong with Assange unless you believe that CIA concocted character assassination bullshit

Satoshi is wise to walk away so early. Old time members that stay might eventually end up in jail.

I live below the poverty line and I am a libertarian. And I am Non-White.
17  Economy / Speculation / Re: This is why the price of bitcoin is dropping on: October 05, 2014, 12:46:47 PM
The volume is such that no one person can "manipulate" the price. Even the Winklevoss twins cannot afford $10 million per day, every day, for last six months.

The number of coin in circulation is limited.

Just need enough money to scoop up all the coins from mining plus a little extra to pump the price higher.
18  Other / Politics & Society / Re: Kissinger made plans to attack Cuba on: October 02, 2014, 09:20:32 AM

And he almost started a nuclear war with the plan when Russia is involved.
